The coughing still lingers and the energy runs out quickly but we are definitely getting better. I've tried to spend some time with Turner the last few days since this was not such a great holiday break for him. We've been to a few movies and played a few games and let a friend come over to spend the night last night (after disinfecting the house the best I could). They want to go ice skating today and then it is back to school tomorrow.

I must say, that as bad as we have felt this week in our house, we still have so much to be thankful for considering what is going on in Asia. So many lives lost and so many people homeless. I can not begin to fathom the devestation that was caused by this tsunami.

I look back at 2004 and remember so many good times. I hope 2005 brings wonderful things for all of you.

Happy New Year!

Love you guys!
Later!

Sue: Glad you all oare feeling better!

Well, I just bought a weight watchers kit on e-bay. It has books, the point calculater and some other stuff. Jerry and I are GOING to lose that weight once and for all! I also put in a bid for a CD of 2200 WW recipes.

Jerry is still battling his cold. He can hardly talk he is so hoarse. I tell him to rest his voice. He works from home tomorrow so I can go to work.

We had a really nice time NYE. All the food came out fantastic. Our NYD food came out really good too. We just sat around yesterday and watched the Rose Parade. Haven't done anything today either.

Julie: Sorry about the witch! Just tell Garry to make sure his gun is always locked up so you can't get it!

Hera has another eye infection. She keeps passing it from one eye to the other. I am putting medicine in both eyes this time.

Bonnie: I have heard NYC is a nice place to be at Christmas. Someday we will get there. I want to see a show on Broadway. Sounds like you had a good day.

Till sometime tomorrow!

Hi all, nothing new. Just cleaning the house and doing laundry.

Susan, it was good to hear from you. Glad things are improving. I so agree with your statement that we have so much to be thankful for. I can't imagine how the people can do it that have been affected by the tsunami. God Bless them.

It's the first work day of the new year. I made several resolutions and one is to try not be so rushed in the mornings. So far so good. Turner will be up in a few minutes and off to work and school we go. I'm also going to try to be more positive than negative this year. The glass is half full full not half empty! 2005 IS GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR FOR ALL OF US!!:D

Have a great day everyone.
Love ya,
Later!

HAPPY 2005!!! :cool1: :flower1: :Pinkbounc

I had a fun, but expensive New Years Eve!!! We ate at the Outback and had a few drinks (I love their Happy Hour) while we waited. The wait was 1 1/2 hours (what were we thinking???) and then went and saw the movie Darkness. Don't see that movie, it was absolutely horrible. Waste of money, it was $20 just to get into the movie. Thank god we ate before the movie and didn't want to eat anymore. Talked to Kristy when it hit midnight their time (her and Faith were the only ones that stayed awake for it in their house!!), it was good to hear her voice!!! Then when it hit midnight our time we had a bottle of champagne and tried to set off fireworks!! Too bad we had bad timing and got yelled at by a Security guard. OOps, didn't see him there.

First day at work in 2005. We will see how many times I screw up the date this week!!!

I am trying to get out to Florida so if anyone sees any good deals on flights from Denver to West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale, please let me know. I want to go February 17-21, 2005!!!

Bonnie - NYC sounds like so much fun. Some day I will get out there and you can be my tour guide because you sound like you know what you are doing and how to have fun. It was so cool to see you on the Today show. My mom and I were screaming when we saw you!!!

Julie - Hope you have a better week.

Susan - glad to see you are starting to recover...poor Turner, already back in school!!!

Hi everyone! Today was back to school for Makenzie too! She wasn't too sure about going back. She wanted to sleep some more! But once she was up, she couldn't wait! She also has Daisies tonight as well. Nothing like getting back into the routine again!!! Tomorrow the Big Guy goes back to school and that should be interesting. He keeps saying I go to school today? So I'm hoping that it will go very well.

Heidi, glad you had a nice New Years! I thought about all of you around midnight here. I was going to give everyone a quick call, but decided against it, so I just posted instead!

Bonnie, I would love to do NYC again! I went there when I was a senior in high school ( it was part of a class I took called Art Seminar. It was a class that had three "classes" in one. Art history, music history, and literature. We would get a calander at the beginning of the month as to which day we were doing what. Just like a college course, but no credit for it). Anyways, we were there for a week and had a great time. Saw the Art museum, the Googenhime (sp) museum ( which I really liked!), 3 broadway plays (Fences, Starlight Express , and Into the Woods) and had A LOT of "our own time" time to explore. That was the trip where I was actually in the World Trade Center Towers!!! Boy was that a sight to see!!! ANYTIME you want to meet in NYC, let me know and we can to a "get away trip". It would have to be in the summer time so I would have someone to watch the kids, but I'm game!!!

I hope Jeanne is having a great time with her daughter!!! I know she is!!

Yesterday it was in the 60's here!! No more snow, but a lot of rain....and A LOT of water soaked ground!!! Everything is mud!!! They say that it will be snowing again by the end of the week. Thank goodness I went out yesterday (before it started raining) and took the CHristmas lights and decorations down. I really hate "taking down Christmas" but it has to be done sometime. And since Brooke's first birthday is just around the corner....... it has to get done. I think we are going to have Brooke's party on Sunday the 16th instead of this weekend coming up. Since the weekend of the 15th and 16th is a three day weekend (MLK on Mon.) I just think it would be better for everyone. I can't beleive she is 1 already!!! She acts like she's 3!!! The other day she climbed onto the couch and turned around and yelled "I did it"!! She floored Garry's sister in law when she said Thank you to me when I handed her a sippy cup. Barb (Garry's SIL) keeped saying she couldn't get over Brooke and what all she can do. She kept saying her sisters son who is 2 weeks younger then Brooke isn't walking yet and is still being breast fed. And here is Brooke.... walking, running, saying several words, drinking from a sippy cup or cup with a straw in it, eating table foods...etc. Brooke put on a fine performance for her!

Well, that's enought from me right now. I'll stop back in later!!! Have a great start to the first work week in 2005!!

Bonnie, keep us posted on your "favorite employee".

TTFN!

Rainy, miserable day, but at least my car got rinsed off in the rain to and from work.

Kaleigh is into the WHY word. I didn't think that started yet!

Nothing to report.

Jerry is sounding better.

Julie: Brooke has to keep up with her siblings!

Nothing new to report here. Our weather has been unseasonally warm, upper 60s. This mild weather is supposed to be here through next weekened.

Turner had hockey practice last night and we have games in Raleigh this weekend.

I can't remember if I mentioned to you all that I am having Lasik eye surgery on the 20th. I have had glasses for 30 years so this will be a huge change for me. I am a little nervous but also excited.

Back to school for all the kids. I hope they all had a good holiday break.

I got a Murphy's Law calendar for Christmas and today's phrase is: When everything goes wrong, don't go with it!:goodvibes

Off to work I go. Have a great day.
Later!

Good morning.....we got home yesterday afternoon.....good trip home but going down to Patti's it snowed a lot. Dick thought we would be following the storm but somehow we ran into it and they even closed the highway between Lovington and Hobbs. They had a lot of snow for Christmas at Patti's....more than I have ever seen there.

We had a really good Christmas....Patti got me a lot of gifts so I would have a lot to open...you should have seen her living room....gifts stacked as high as you could go all around the tree and even across the room in a corner.

I scrapbooked all week while Patti was at work....got over 30 pages finished. We shopped at Hobby Lobby and Walmart everytime we went out so I had to get more scrapbook supplies...lol Then Sunday the girls came over and we all scrapbooked all day....

We had the pork and sauerkraut on New Years too.....also black eye peas which I didn't really care for. Dick was sick the whole time we were there and still doesn't feel good. It seems to be a bad cold that won't go away.

Now I get to start over in my house....I decided my goals for this year was to get organized and lose weight....wait, wasn't that my goal for last year?
Oh well, maybe this year I will suceed.....

Sorry to read about all the illness...hope everyone is feeling better. Happy New year to everyone and a belated birthday to Garry.....

SNOW, COLD FOGGY WEATHER.....I think I need to go back to bed. Why do I have to be at work when it is so foggy and cold outside when I could be under my blanket!!! I wonder how much snow we will get this week!!! I need to go visit Mickey Mouse and get warm!!!

I can't even see our other building across the street from us, I love the fog when I can sit and watch it.

Nothing new here, went to Target yesterday to buy 1 bag of candy and 1 lock for the lockers at the gym and ended up taking advantage of the 75% off and I bought myself and artificial tree with lights on it, garlan, bulbs, tree skirt, and stockings to match, a container to store all this in and more kitchen stuff!!! So what I thought was $10 spent at Target on a quick trip ended up $100 and 1 1/2 hours later!!! Oh well atleast I don't have to pay full price for it next year!!! :flower1:

I hope you all have a great day.

Good morning all,

Just like Heidi said, it is a cold and snowy day. We are to get somewhere between 2" and 8" by tomorrow afternoon. Quite a big spread. The way it is snowing it will probably be more in the 2".

Welcome home Sally. Sorry to hear about Dick. Hope he gets better soon. Patty was so sweet to buy all those gifts! Heidi was too generous this year as well. I was worried about your drive to NM because of the storm. Heard it was bad down that way.

Julie, I am not surprised that Brooke is so advanced! I am sure that she is trying to keep up with her big brother and sister. At least you have been to NYC once. I have never even made it to the east coast. Someday! (sigh)

Denine, so did Kaleigh forget about the word "no" now and moved onto "why" or is she saying both? I always hate the why stage. Graci and Noah are into being little mocking birds. That is my all time dislike.

Susan, I am sooooooo jealous about your lasik surgery. Let us know all about it. Murphy's law calendar must be fun. You will have to post what it says daily.

Heidi Ann, it is funny how I have to read the board to find out about your NYE! Fireworks? Shame on you. Hey, quit complaining about your trip to Target. Look at the bright side........at least we had fun shopping. Heck, I went for nothing and spent 15. Oh wait, that doesn't compare to you! :earboy2:

Been thinking a lot about Jeanne. Can't wait to get a report about the "other" cruise line.

I told you about the fireworks, you are just old and senile and can't remember anything, I bet dad will remember my story. (Such respect!!!) Remember me telling you about Chris and his bad timing? Maybe you have selective hearing!!!

Uh NO Heidi, maybe you just told your dad. You always liked him best anyway! OR, maybe now that you are OLDER you have hit the senile age YOURSELF! HaHa!

You were eating dinner right there with us you freak. Sunday night, at the table, eating dinner.

Don't forget Amazing Race tonight.

Heidi Ann, I taught you better than to call people names. Not freak just forgetful?? Or....were you babbling again. teehee

Welcome back Sally!

Sandy: Kaleigh still says no, just not as much.

Sue: Back to your busy life, I see.

Had my teeth cleaned today. Maybe when I lose my 30 pounds, I'll get my teeth whitened. How's that for a little incentive?

Supposed to snow tomorrow 1-3". At least all the snow from before is gone. I hope we don't get the freezing drizzle they are talking about for tonight.

NOthing else to say today.

Hi all! Just checking in. We have winter storm warnings out again. It is suppose to rain, turn to freezing rain/ice and then snow. We will see if they are right about this storm. I don't ever believe the weather men around here. They alway make it out to be worst then what it is going to be. It is raining out right now, but I don't think it will be as bad as they think. Our rivers around here are sooo swollen, that anymore rain or massive snow melt is gonna cause some real damage around here.

Welcome back Sally! We missed you!

Sandy and Heidi, are we going to have to seperate you two??? You two better behave or I'll just have to send my three little ones out your way and you can watch them if you don't stop this "fighting"! LOL!

Well, today was the Big Guy's first day back to school and he really missed it I think! We walked into the school and he saw one of his teachers and he yelled "there's one of my friends!" HI! I thought that was the cutiest things I have ever heard from him in awhile!

Did any of you watch the Disney World's Christmas parade on CHristmas day? We did and the kids were saying "We saw that! Look! it's the parade! Are we going there again for Christmas to see our friends from the Mickey Boat?" It brought a tear to my eye! We will have to meet there again for a Christmas reunion! I know the dudettes mentioned that they were going this Dec, and Garry and I were thinking about a week trip then too. We shall see!

Well, enough from me tonight. I'll stop by in later today to see what else is new with everyone!

TTFN

You guys all stay warm. We'll be in the low 70s today! I bet this means we will have some really bad weather in February.

Turner has an eye doctor's appt. this afternoon and I am getting another facial. I deserve it after the past few weeks and can't wait.

Have a great day everyone!
Later!
