October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 3

Barb - not very much snow fell at Stacey's yesterday. The sun even came out a few times.

Julie - that is nice that they came and visited you. I hope Brooke had a great birthday party.

Denine - did you get anything from the Amish?

It is freezing out this morning. When I left for work it was -1 outside.

Heidi-That is crazy about the weather. I am a couple of miles south or Monument and it snow all day long. Hardly any stuck though. Never did see the sun.

It is 2 degrees out right now.....two months till spring

We had a crazy night around here last night. I was in bed when my grandaughter opened my door and said Sassie her dog was bleeding. She had surgery last Thursday and she had gotten some of her stitches out so I woke Dick up and he drove her to the animal hospital. The roads weren't good and Criss wouldn't drive and I am not any better about bad roads.

This is the second time this has happened. Sassie had surgery about a month ago to remove a hugh bump on her back and it tested possitive for cancer. The vet said she didn't know if she got all the cells or not and recommended she have another surgery to go deeper to be sure she got them all. Sassie got the stitches out that time too and Criss had to take her to the emergency clinic. And of course this always happens at night.

It has cost her about $l000....Sassie is ending up being an expensive 8 yr old dog....

Hope to finish :laundy: and scrapbook today.

Poor Sassy :sad1: Did Criss find out anything from the second surgery? I hope she will be ok.

watched the season finale of Amazing Race last night. I was ok with any of the final 3 winning. I liked them all. Glad Jen got the boot!

Bob and I are watching season 6 of "24" we are almost through. Really like that show. Sure takes up my evenings though.

I made the mistake of making Tiffany "Fuzzies" (pom poms with feet and magnets) to put on the girls in her dorm doors.

Tiffany is the Fuzzy Fairy and none of the girls know it is her. The girls LOVE them and already are wanting the fuzzy fairy to visit them again. So I have to make them this weekend and mail them to her. I made all colors for Sept, Orange pumkin ones in Oct, Santa clauses for December and I guess I will make red and white ones for Feb. The spring ones will have wings like a fairy and be in pastels.

I also have orders to send her cookies. I still have to make a "Disney count down" board for them this weekend too. Guess this will be an all about Tiffany weekend.

Barb: Just when you thought you had nothing to do... GOod luck onfinding a place for the wedding.

It is cold and snowing. It has been soooo cold the last few days. I HATE being cold!

We had a busy but nice weekend. Had a good time at Brooke's party. Got to meet Garry & Becky. They are very nice.

Went to Amish yesterday. I got the staples I was running out of. I bought a candle ring and candle for half price. Didn't really buy anything else down there except for some wine. We went to the outlet store on our way home. I got a bunch of stuff at Carter's for Kaleigh for next year. I didn't pay over $5.99 for anything. Also went to the Root candle store and they were having a 40% off sale, so bought some stuff there.

Jerry's mom had an awesome Pampered Chef party. She gets lots of free stuff! I am inviting HER friends next time!

Trying to play the airfare game for our April trip. FOund a good price on Spirit, but now they want $10 per bag each way. We want to do the storage locker thing, but still!

We are officially 1/2 through Kindergarten. Not bad, since we usually only have school 4 days a week. Kaleigh is doing awesome!

Sally: How's the dog?

She is doing ok...not happy about the plastic collar she has to wear and a pink t-shirt.

It wasn't stitches she got out...,it was a build up of fluid under the stitches that was all swollen and it was seeping blood and fluid. He said to watch it and if it got any bigger she would have to be put under again and have it drained. Poor little thing, her little body has been through so much in the last month.

I went to Walmart and got lunch and that has been my day so far. No scrapbooking. I haven't been to Archivers since the first of the year because the girl I go with is in Ariz. Barb said she wanted to go so guess when she is ready I will get back there again. It sure has saved me money though:rotfl:

I guess I will go :happytv: or read. All out of the mood to do anything else and I have to keep an eye on Sassie so she doesn't try to scratch her stitches as I am sure they itch.

Sally, poor Sassie. Heidi's dog, Sable, went through a lot after her surgery, too.

Julie, I LOVE it that Garry came back out to see you guys. How special!

Barb, the weather was strange yesterday!

Denine, :thumbsup2 great idea about inviting your MIL's friends to a Pampered Chef party!!

I am getting down to stress time for the trip. I am having to research out the new TSA requirements for lithium batteries. As of this month, you can only bring in so many, not pack them in checked luggage and it goes on. Quite honestly, I don't understand it. Then when you put it in your carry on you have to cover the terminals with tape and put them separately in a ziploc bag. Not sure if you can keep them in your camera, iPods etc and just seal the extra batteries. I guess that some AA batteries can now be lithium. Frustration!!

Good Morning!

Sandy-YIKES! A lot of research goes in to taking batteries!

Today I am wishing I lived in Cleveland and was an Indians fan. Since Progressive now owns the ball field we get discount tickets, Indians mechandise and get this.. an employee only autograph signing day with the Indians!!

Can you believe Heath Ledger is dead?! Tiffany thinks he is really HOT!
Very sad.

Barb - that is so sad about Heath Ledger.

I am really close to a coworker, I call her my work mom and she called me this morning to tell me that her mom passed away yesterday. I feel so bad for her.

Heidi- So sad about your co-workers Mom. I can't even imagine. I feel very blessed that my Mom is still around. Good thing she is going to live as long as I do because I don't think I would make it through losing her. My Mom lost her Mom at a very young age.

Barb, you are in for a long haul....I intend to live till I am l00:goodvibes

Of course right now I am pooped....I emptied my side of the closet and I must have at least l00 items of clothing. Will someone convience me I don't need clothes in several sizes and l0 purses.

When I hang my clothes back up I am going to put the hanger top on the rod backwards. When I wear them I will put them back the right way. That way in 6 months I will know what I wear and what I don't and take another look at the item of clothing still backwards and get rid of it.

Hi guys!

Sally, you go girl!! Live til your 110 or older!!!!

Heidi, I'm sorry to hear about your friend's mom. Hugs to you and her.

Barb, Progressive owns only the "Naming Rights" to the field for 6 years. The city still owns the ball park. That's great about your discount tickets and autograph signing. If we didn't have season tickets, we would be calling you to get discount tickets!! LOL!

Well, I just got Makenzie from school. She thew up at school, poor kid! I think she has what Brooke had last week. It's about a 12/24 hour thing but you throw up at least 2 and when you do, it's like projectile and out the nose and everything! She's right now trying to sleep on the couch. Garry came home so I could go get Brooke from school. He is on his way back to work now.

Well, I'll be back later this afternoon!

TTFN

They told us how that worked in the email that was sent out but because I don't really care I guess I forgot the EXACT information.

Just got back from the doctor here at work. I am strep free!!:cool1:

Congrats Barb on being strep free!

"They told us how that worked in the email that was sent out but because I don't really care I guess I forgot the EXACT information." Sorry for offending you, I thouht maybe your employer gave you mis-information. Sorry

So Barb, about those discount tickets..:rolleyes1

Julie: poor Makenzie. I hope she feels better soon. I hope Garry doesn't get it.

Sandy: I have seen that stuff on the batteries, very confusing.

It is all of 18 degrees outside.

I am starting to reorganize my house. I decided to start at the top and work my way down. I found votive candles I didn't know I had. I could have saved some money on Monday.

Sally: good idea about hanging the clothes.

Barb: Glad you are strep free.

Heidi: Sorry about your co-worker

Julie- I just found this in our updates:

Progressive CEO Glenn Renwick signed a 16-year ballpark naming rights and sponsorship deal with the Cleveland Indians on January 11, 2008. As a result, Jacobs Field will be renamed Progressive Field and Progressive becomes the Official Auto Insurer of the Cleveland Indians.

The contract includes naming rights for signage inside and outside the park as well as broadcast advertising, logos on schedules, Internet ads, etc.

Denine-Once they release information I will find out if I can get tickets since I live out of state. If I can I will let you know the details.

Julie- I just now realized you own in Wilderness lodge too. I was thinking about Wilderness and remember seeing it in your signature now the name and picture add up. Yeah a little slow I know. I really want to stay there next December. We stopped in on our last trip and I loved the
feel. It would be fun at Christmas. Guess my chances are not very good at getting a room but I am going to try.
