Hi all! Back from the pool. Had a bit of a scare today at the pool but everyone is fine. What happened was Anna Marie was by the baby pool with The Big Guy and Brooke and Makenzie was with a friend she had made. Both Garry and Makenzie had floaties. Well Makenzie came back with one of the floaties broke so I gave her one of Garry's since he was staying by me and AnnaMarie. I went to the house phone to call Garry in the room and for that 30 secs Brooke took off and Anna Marie went after her. WELL, The Big Guy thought that we went off to the pool and just jumped in! We of course didn't see him do this. I came back and said where is Garry to Anna Marie? We both run to the big pool and there he was with a look of horror on his face as he was trying to stay afloat. He did remember to get to his back and keep his head back so at least he wasn't emerged. Anna Marie jumped in and I lifted him out. He began to throw up and cry so I knew he was ok, but boy did that scare the poop out of us. It was no more than 30 secs, but 30 secs. tooooooo long. He threw up a lot of water, so I guess when he first went in, he took in alot of water. Of course NONE of the lifeguards saw any of this! Which doesn't give me much comfort. There were 4 guards watching the one pool. When I went over to the guard stand to say I wanted this incident put in writing just for us (we are not one to cry lawsuit or anything like that) just in case he has problems tonight or anything like that we can say this is what happened earlier, the one guard said to me...."oh yeah, I saw him throwing up over there.." Now did he come over to ask if he was ok or if there was a problem, no. Anyways, everything is ok with everyone and we had a nice time in the pool. We know have a life vest that we got from the community hall that we will use for the rest of our stay.

Denine and Jerry are coming over around 8:15pm so we adults can go to Shula's. Jeanne, I love LeCellier too, but this is one place we have really wanted to try. It is EXPENSIVE, so I hope it is worth it!!

Well, gonna fly. Gotta go get the kids dinner started!!

TTFN

I bet you were scared Julie.....things happen so fast. Glad he is ok.....I remember once when I was about 5 I saw everyone floating on their backs so I laid down in the ocean and went right to the bottom....lucky is wasn't deep and I managed to get up but no one saw me and to this day I am afraid of water and can't swim.

You and Denine have fun at dinner tonight....

Julie - OMG, how scary for everyone. I can't believe not one life guard saw this incident, so scary. Glad everything is okay and you still had a great time. When my best friend's daughter was 3, a bunch of us went to her pool party, well her fearless daughter went and jumped in the hot tub because she thought it was a kiddie pool and she sank right to the bottom, thank god Taura and I were walking by to go to the bathroom and I was able to jump in after her. Crazy kids!!!! Scared the poop out of us too....the little girl was scared for a while and wouldn't go back to the pool, but within 15 minutes, she was back jumping into the pool into peoples arms, fearless.

Wow Sally, that sounds scary. I almost drowned in the ocean too because my dad was taking a picture of the waves!! (J/K, I really wouldn't have drowned but at that time I thought I would have!!!) I went to wash my hands in the ocean and the under tow took me out, while I was trying to scramble to get up and out of the ocean and it was sucking me further out, I was screaming for my dad and he told me to hold on that a really big wave was going to come crashing on the rocks and he wanted to take a picture!!! It didn't scar me at all, I love the water and the ocean!!!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS, JULIE ! I can't believe that happened. How scary. I bet your heart was pumping a mile a minute. Glad it all worked out.

Sally, I never knew you were into ceramics. You are definitely a woman of many talents!

Heidi, :rotfl: :rotfl: I will never forget that incident in CA and the ocean. :rotfl: :rotfl: Guess what?? S54 . The employee said someone saved it for us. The only person in that store that knows is Bonnie. Man, the pregnancy was good for her too! :rotfl2:

WHAT???!!No that can't be. I think my coworkers are going to have to pick me up off the floor. There is no such thing as saving sites.......UNLESS the OWNER saves a site because it is against the rules. Wow, maybe Stacey needs to get pregnant again, I am liking how everyone is so nice!!!!

Okay I am still blown away by that, All new employees so there is no way they would know that is our favorite spot. We hardly got it last year and someone saved it for us...WHOA.

Good Morning

I just realized that I have not posted for a few days. I have been so busy. last night was a "Farewell" party for Nate and Sheri. They are moving to Greensboro or some such place NC. We have another party on Saturday and we are taking them out on Monday night. They leave next Friday.

Tomorrow is shopping for the baby shower. I still have to make some decorations.

Hey Mom hope you are feeling better. If you want me to come see you just tell me next time. Going to the emergency room is not necessary!

Julie-I am so glad everything turned out ok for the big guy!! Poor little guy. Water can be so scary!
Sure wish I was going to dinner with you and Denine!! Have a great time!

hey Sandy what is all this coding stuff between you and Heidi. Sounds like something good happened to Stacey but I could not figure it out.

Barb ::MickeyMo

Barb - okay the coding I will break down for you. S54 is our favorite camping site at the campground, there is no saving spots allowed at the campground but someone told my mom that spot was saved for us. The owner of the campground is my sister's MIL and FIL, the past few years she has not been very nice to us at all at the campground, always giving us bad camping sites and since the babies were born she has been nothing but nice to us and since this is the first year the staff has worked here, they don't know our favorite site is S54 so when they said someone saved S54 for us, it could only be Stacey's MIL.

Give you an example of how rude my sis MIL is, a few years ago we were swimming and I was right next to my sister and her MIL wished my sister a Happy Birthday and didn't say a word to me....hello we are twins, we have the same birthday.

Hi Barb, I was thinking about how you haven't posted for awhile. You forgot all about us??? Wow, where are your priorities?? Little Ethan first? Shopping for the baby shower was kind of stressful. Good luck!

Thinking of Bonnie. If I can use my cell phone I will try and call on Saturday. My family couldn't reach me on it. It goes straight into the phone mail. I am so frustrated with it.

Off to the campground.

Happy Fathers Day to all the daddies.

Spent the day with "the ladies" since my cousin worked last night & had to sleep before going back to work tonight. It turned out to be a nice day - made them dinner & then had a surprise visit by my son & Grandmom Waholek & they stayed for dinner too.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the DADDIES (especially the brand new ones!). Off to work tomorrow & Sunday so I may not have an opportunity to get back on the computer & wish the men a happy day. I did go to the cemetery to visit my Daddy too.

SANDY: I understood the site discussion. I am happy that you got the site you wanted.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

What a scare, Julie!! I am so glad that evryone is fine (except your frayed nerves). Glad you all are having fun.

The babies are going to be a week old tomorrow!! Give them hugs.

Barb, give Ethan hugs too. (like you don't already do that!!)

Let me give you guys a quick health report. I had a Dr's appt yesterday and now they want to test for an immunodeficiency. I had to go have blood work done (CBC w/qualitative immunoglobulins for you nurses). Not sure what all this means yet and not sure it will pertain to me or not. He just wants to go down this path since I have a lot of sinus infections, don't respond well to ATBs, and have this recurring colitis issue. He is also going to start weaning me off the prednisone (you guys wouldn't recognize me with my swollen face and body!!). Anyway, I have felt better this week than I have the last few.

We leave early in the morning for Raleigh and hockey. We'll be back Sunday evening.

Barb, your friends are moving close to me. Greensboro is only about 90 minutes away. In fact, we will go through there on the way to Raleigh tomorrow. When you come visit them, we will have to get together!!

Hi to Jeanne, Bonnie, Heidi, Sandy, Sally, Julie, Denine, Barb, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy....Goodnight John Boy!!

Later!

Hi Susan and everyone...

I still am hanging on to the kidney stone but with the pills I am managing....

I went to lunch with Barb and my granddaughters and then criss and I went to see Kicking and Screaming....cute movie about soccer....watched Hitch on DVD last night...I had seen it at the movies and still enjoyed watching it again...funny movie.

It sure is quiet around here with Sandy and Heidi camping, Denine and Julie at Disneyworld and I don't know where anyone else is...... guess I will have to keep the board up....now for a song.... I can't sing but I can :rolleyes1

Hi, Sally. Sorry you were here alone. But, I am back from Raleigh. Turner's team won the gold medal at State Gmaes and Turner had a shut out in his game this morning. What a great weekend.

Now to start laundry!

Hope all the fathers had a Great Father's Day!!

Later!

Hi Susan.....tell Turner Good Work!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :bounce:

We are getting ready to go out to dinner with Barb and Bob....it is in the 90's today...too hot for me....

:cool1: WOO HOO TURNER, WAY TO BE!!!! Great job on your games!!!

Had a rough start and ending the weekend, but Saturday was fun. I am burt to a crisp and way overdone. I wasn't out in the sun all that long, but boy did I get fried. Had to have an emergency run to Safeway to pick up some Aloe vera w/ lidocaine and some IB profin. I have never been this burnt before in my life. No more sun for me, I am going to buy all bottles of sunscreen even if I am only going to be out of 30 minutes. I can't sleep because my body feels like it is on FIRE. Ouch, it hurts!!!

Yesterday we had a good start to the day. Had Father's Day brunch at our favorite restaurant and then off to have dinner with my grandpa, well he wasn't doing well at all so we were not able to have dinner. :sad1: It is so hard to see him not doing well.

Heidi I feel for you.....I had a sunburn like that in Fla on a cloudy day...was only out about 30 minutes. Your skin feels like it is on fire and you are so cold you need a blanket and that hurts....did your lotion do any good for you....

Today is laundry day and cleaning...so far no pills today

Sally - the lotion works for about 5 minutes and then the pain comes back. My next resort is vinegar, I have already asked my mom to pick me up some (thanks mom). I am hoping that will help my burn, I may not smell pretty but if it takes away the sting and redness it will be well worth it!!!

TURNER: Congratulations :cheer2: Way to go!!!!!

HEIDI: You poor baby. There is nothing that feels worse then a sunburn :sunny: Poor grandpa - couldn't even enjoy father's day.

I had the first good weekend at work since I switched off Joyce's weekend (because of the wedding). It was really nice & slow - just the way we like it. We did see a maternity tour go by that had about 25 couples in it :scared1:

I was the "witness" for Derek :groom: & Diana :bride: when they applied for their marriage license today. Took them out to lunch at Fuddrucker's & then off the "the ladies".

Hope you all had a better weekend then Heidi. Nine days to the first wedding - counting down... Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

OH my gosh, I just lost a long post. Let me do this quick.

Way to go Turner! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc  You guys are an outstanding team.

Susan, glad you are feeling better. Maybe getting off the prednisone will be a good thing. You sound a little more ambitious. Good night John Boy. :rotfl:

Sally, I burned in the shade one time in Las Vegas. It was the worst sunburn I have ever had. My parents were being so careful with me and it still happened. Glad that you are feeling better, too.

Jeanne, didn't realize that it is only 9 days away from the first wedding. This summer is flying by. I haven't been to Fuddruckers for a very long time. It sounds so good right now. A big juicy hamburger, hot french fries, a cold diet coke. Mmmmmm.

Barb, how did the baby shower shopping go? How is little Ethan? Give him hugs!

Julie, I thought for sure that you would have already bragged by now. I promise I won't say anything. You can do it yourself.

Bonnie, hope those eyes keep getting better. Keep me posted. Hey, I have one of those packable hats. How do you pack them? I tried and boy did it get wrinkled. Now it looks great again. Any advice?

I haven't heard how Grandpa is doing today. He usually gets confused around this time of day.

I passed on Denine's pictures. Hope everyone got them. When is Julie and Denine expected back? Can't wait to hear stories.

Oh my, I have to do a little bragging here. My nephew who just got out of middle school was accepted to play JV baseball for Columbine High School. I was so proud of him and now I just heard from my brother that he has been asked to play varsity and has already played 2 games for varsity. Way to go, Cody!

Heidi, have you tried witch hazel....sometimes that helps

I was cleaning this morning and started to get sick to my stomach.....I finally took a pill the doctor gave me if I got sick and I passed 3 stones during the day. I don't know how something so small can cause so much pain. It will be a week tomorrow all this started.

It was so hot today and still is 76 out at l0:30 but Dick read where Hobbs where Patti lives was l07.....now that is too hot for me. Time for bed...good night everyone
