October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Sandy we got a very bad hail storm in our section of town....lost a lot of my plants. This is the first time I have lost my garden in several years....the last time I lost it twice in the same summer. We are going to have to have our roof checked.....I still have a pile of hail in the back where it piled up by our rain spout....

I am still having stones....a big one yesterday. It had sharp little barbs sticking out of it....ugly little thing. I had to take another pain pill this morning because my side is burning and I am afraid to let the pain get ahold so that the pills don't work. It makes me very sleepy so I am going back to bed for awhile....

Sally - I forgot about all the hail the Springs got. The pictures on the news were amazing, I can't believe you still have hail and that the Springs was using snow plows to remove the hail....that is so crazy. Sorry to hear about the damage the hail caused. I hope you feel better.

Mom - I am sure it is true that grandpa would want to be alone considering in the past when he was sick he always wanted to be alone, but I was thinking more for dad and him wanting to be there for grandpa. HI NINA!!!!!!

Went to the doctor yesterday afternoon. I have a bad case of bronchitis with pleurisy, bordering on pneumonia. Thank goodness for codeine cough syrup. I started getting sick on Sunday and it progressed quickly.

I have to work the next 2 days and I am supposed to rest, so It is off to take a nap while Kaleigh naps.

I did read everything to catch up and will post more when I feel better.

Hope you other sickies are feeling better soon!

Oh my goodness Denine. I can't believe that you are going to work! Codeine cough syrup doesn't work for Stacey and I. Thank goodness it works for you!!

Sally, did you get all that rain on top of the hail? Sounds like you got hit like we did last year. Good luck with the roof! Sounds like those stones are moving. Maybe you will get rid of all of them.

Pixie dust is needed for Ted's dad. He is now in pain and was talked into morpheine. He was trying to be brave but they told him he didn't need to be. I am glad they got through to him. He is very confused most of the time now. He is aware of that and is so frustrated. I personally feel that the morpheine will help with that because he will be "out" of it. Bless his heart!

Yes, we got the rain and flooding too....I guess some kids drowned because of it....

Sandy: Pixie dust to Ted's dad.

Jerry just took Kaleigh for a walk. My back is killing me from the pleruisy, si I didn't go.

Our flight was an hour late arriving in FLorida, but we got there. We went straight to Epcot to get out AP's and Disney Dining approval letter, then we went into the park to get something to eat and went to check in. We met up with Julie and the gang on Wednesday. The kids all loved being together! The 4 of us went to Shula's Steakhouse on Thursday night. We had a fantastic time, food was great, the bill was hilarious! We did go to the 50's Primetime Cafe at MGM, but without the Lauter's since that was the day of the Big Guy's pool incident. It was OK, but not the same. Thursday, we had lunch at Le Cellier. Sunday, we had lunch in Italy, for Father's Day. Julie told Darren where we were, but we never saw him. We went from morning till night and MOnday, we were at the MK until 2 AM for extra Magic hours. We didn't get back to our room until 3 AM, and of course that was the day we were leaving, so had to get up an d pack. Plus, I was already sick.
BOught enough soueveniers. I bought 2 journals for our AUgust cruise. I want to remember everything. They have a lot of 50th anniversary stuff. I bought a new counted cross stitch castle. It is really nice. SOmeday, I will have time to do it, but it will be a few years, I am sure. I still have to do the castle I am working on.
I don't think I gained any weight. We walked soooooo much.
We won't go again in June if we can help it. There were too many people. Plus, it rains every day.
We did run into Towncrier in Epcot a few times. He was the one that had the Memorial Day dismeet we were going to go to. Didn't know he was going to be there.
Sandy: I sent more pictures. You can forward them on.

Oh my gosh Denine. Those pictures are so awesome. I wish you were hear listening to me oooohing and aaahhhinng. They are sooo cute. I will attempt to send it to everyone. Our little Kaleigh is growing up so fast.

Sally, I heard about the two friends that drowned. It was so sad. Is Barb ok? We haven't heard from her in awhile.

They decided not to give Ted's dad morphine because of me. I remembered that he would get out of bed with it and in his condition they don't want that so they put him on something else. When he is awake he does recognize people so that is good for all of us.

JULIE: I am so jealous of you & Bonnie. We all love Darren I guess he wasn't with Rachel. Did he say whether he is still going on the cruise ?

TED & SANDY: What can I say about Ted's Dad. I feel like I am dealing with this EVERY day. You just wish you could make their pain go away

DENINE: Poor baby. You are following in Bonnie's footsteps. She has a reputation of getting sick on every vacation.

Wedding update My son Derek (the wedding in 8 days) has "the shingles". Any advice Bonnie. I know it is brought on by STRESS & he is alot of pain.

Another great day at work. I am working Friday night & then Saturday night for BONUS pay. Hope you all have a nice, stressless weekend. Toodles JEANNE

Jeanne, I am so sorry about Derek. It is an awful thing to go through. Pixie dust his way! Darren told Bonnie that he wasn't going on the cruise. Poor us! He will be missed!

Sally, so how is the Springs? Still raining everyday like here? I think it is to continue through Saturday here.

Barb, thinking of you this weekend. I know the baby shower is this weekend. Have a great time. Just remember.....you have to share ETHAN on his special day. I know, I know, it will be hard.

Our friends are driving in from Texas this weekend. I keep wondering if I should have warned them how bad Ted's dad is so they understand IF we can't see them. She has family here so they are not coming just for us. Plus they are driving on to So. Dak. for a family reunion and this is in between.

Heidi and I did a lot of shopping today. So much that it gave Heidi a migraine.

Glad everyone is enjoying Kaleigh's pictures. She just walked up to each of the characters and gave them a big hug like they were long lost freinds.

Jeanne: I already have that reputation. I am either getting over something, catch something, or get sick when I get home. Poor Derek! Pixie dust!

I am feeling some better. The pleurisy is only hurting on one side now and my chest isn't hurting. I slept most of the day after work. I left early. I work again tomorrow.

Sandy: Continued pixie dust for Ted's dad. I hope you get to see you friends this weekend.

Can't believe I am the first one to post today.

Julie: Are you glad your are home where it isn't so hot? 90 yesterday today and tomorrow.

Made it to work again, but left early and came home to bed, it is the only place my back doesn't hurt.

Going to go for a ride to get Kaleigh out of the house.

Ended up putting the AC on so I can be more comfortable.

Everyone gets to sleep in tomorrow.

Sorry Denine that you had to talk to yourself. Hope you are getting better. Pleurisy certainly must be horrible. AC? Man, I would run it all the time. I love it. But now that I have lost all this weight, I am cold most of the time.

Had a wonderful day. Got to the hospice expecting to see my FIL sleeping and/or confused. Oh my goodness. He was sitting up in bed reading. It was so great to be able to talk to him again. I quickly got on the phone and called Stacey to get the babies over to the hospital. Luckily she obliged and Great Grandpa got to see the twins. It was so cool watching him smiling and stroking the babies. We were lucky and got pictures. I used my cell phone and Richard brought their digital camera. What a wonderful day!

Missing everyone and hoping you all are having a terrific weekend. Our everyday rain pattern is suppose to end today. Hot the rest of the week. YUCK!

I worked 7P-7A Friday night & 7P-7A Saturday night for "BONUS"$$$$$$$$$ pay (extra $17.50 an hour). Both nights were really busy but no problems.

SANDY: It is so great that your FIL got to see the twins. It is the circle of life We will really miss Darren on the cruise I guess no talent show!

Thank you all for the pixie dust for Derek. He was well enough to go to a bachelor party last night

Where is Bonnie? Can't she see the computer yet?

Feeling some better today. My back is still the biggest problem.

Bought Kaleigh a small pool today. She had fun splashing in it. I think the whole neighborhood heard her squealing.

Kaleigh is in denial about being home. She keeps wanting to go on Small World or the "Flying Ships" (Peter Pan) or "Spaceship Moon". She loved being there. She went on the Teacups 3 times in a row and Goofy's Barnstormer 3 times in a row. It was her first rollercoaster. We keep telling her she has to wait until August. Heck, we hadn't even pulled in the driveway yet on Tuesday and she said she didn't want to go home!

Kaleigh and Makenzie were inseperable when they were together, always holding hands or sitting next to each other on rides or at meals. We adopt Makenzie on vacation. As long as they are having fun!

Sandy: glad to hear Ted's dad was able to see the babies. How wonderful!

Jeanne: Glad your son was able to attend his batchelor party!

Sue: Jerry heard a lot of jobs at your place were being outsourced to India. I hope your isn't one of them!

Denine, I think my job is safe, at least for now. Some of the tech support for our group is part of it and they are looking at some of the new project development. It's not the best decision I think this company has ever made but they didn't ask me.

The shower was really nice...Barb went all out with the decorations....I had everyone do a scrapbook page and sign for Ethan's album...there were so many people there that some had to leave before they did a page.

Missy got so many nice gifts...that child will have outfits to wear for a long time.

I am still fooling around with the stones....I feel better tonight than I have for a long time....take my last sinus infection pills tomorrow and have to take some stones in for the doctor to have tested.

Gosh, this time next week will be 4th July weekend...where is the summer going....

I finally feel like a person today. I had a migraine all weekened....I repeat ALL WEEKEND long. It was horrible.

Barb - I want to hear about all the detail with the baby shower!!!! What did you do? Did you play any games? What did you have for food....tell me, tell me!!!

Jeanne - how is Derek doing with the shingles? If I remember right, my sister had shingles one time too. Almost time for the wedding!!!!!

Denine - glad you are feeling a little bit better. Sounds like you had a great time at WDW. Waiting for my mom to forward me on the pictures!!!!

Julie - where are you hiding at? Taking a break from your vacation? Isn't it crazy how you are always more exhausted AFTER vacations, I thought vacations were supose to be relaxing!!!! (not when you go to WDW)

Sally - Get rid of those stones!!! Hope you are feeling better.
