Bonnie, I did try calling you but for some reason I am having trouble with my cell all afternoon long. Wondering if it is Verizon. Anyone else having trouble today?

Hi all

I had a really rough day yesterday. I went to the doctor and he said I had a bad sinus infection and gave me two kinds of pills and a nose spray. I take the pills for 2 weeks and am not allowed to work in the yard till they are gone. He said to stay away from dust, etc. Like he thinks I can do that...

So when I came home I took the two pills and about 2 I started having a really bad pain in my lower back and it went around to the front. I just knew it was a kidney stone since I have had them twice before. So I had Dick call the doctor to see if I could take a pain pill he had given me for them before since I was on the other medicine. They said they would call back..in the meantime I was getting worse...Dick called again and they said it was ok..by that time I was throwing up so he called them back and they said go to the hospital.

So I went at 3:30 and they did a catscan, took 5 tubes of blood and put me on a IV. They had to send the blood work and catscan to their main hospital to have it read. They finally said I had blood in my urine and the tube was swollen so I did have a kidney stone....but the bad news is my kidneys are full of stones. That I didn't need to know...lol They let me go home and I am on pain pills and if it gets bad again I have to go back.

Right now I feel tired but the pain is just a dull ache thank God. I did laundry and straightened up the house this morning. The paper they gave me said to stay active so I am trying.

Bonnie and Heidi enjoy those babies.....that is what babies are made for is to love and love some more.

Oh my Sally. I am so sorry to hear about everything. I can't believe that your kidney is loaded with stones. Do you have to pass all of them or what is the plan of attack? Gosh, I feel so bad for you. It is hard to believe that you have to stay active in so much pain. Pixie dust your way. :love2:

There is no plan ....I guess they can't do anything to get rid or disolve them, just let nature take its course. My first attack was in the 80's and I didn't have another one until last July and now this year. I did good all day until this evening and I had to take another strong pill....I guess I will just have to keep on top of it until it passes. They told me it is a 2 something or other size and I could pass up to a 4 size. Believe me the 2 is about all I can handle....one of the nurses said her husband passed one the size of an eraser on the end of the pencil.....that poor man....

I'm finished ....intense discomfort yesterday, I was told to sleep for 4 hours but couldn't due to the pain. I definately need reading glasses.

I go for my first checkup at 10 AM, next one tomorrow in Phila...hope I can drive by then because I can't see my mom driving me there.

Would I recommend it? I will let you know in a few days. Unfortunately the recovery period for the Epi Lasik is longer than regular Lasik so ask me then. I do see better and I think it will be even better once they take the protective contact lenses out.

Mom=drink lots and lots of fluid!!! Kidney stones are no fun at all. You need to flush out your kidneys. Did they recommend you see a kidney doctor? Urologist? Did they give you someting to strain your urine?

So glad that we heard from Bonnie. I am sorry to hear about your discomfort however. This lasik does sound a little more harse than the regular. Hang in there kiddo and keep us posted. Will be thinking of you again today. Hugs.

Sally, gosh, I just don't know what to say to you. Hugs for you too.

Oh Poor Sally, that is rough. I remember my ex-boyfriend's sister had 2 kidney stones and had to go to the hospital for a few days. I remember the pain she was in. Hang in there, I hope you feel better. Pixie Dust to you.

Bonnie - Glad you posted. Hope your eyes and your recovery is doing better today. Pixie Dust to you too.

Mom - I am so ready for the campground, just to lounge around the pool all day Saturday!!!!! I think I am going to visit Stacey at about 6:00 tonight.

Hi all! I just stopped by on my way down to the pool. Denine and Jerry did make it down here, but they were delayed an hour. They had problems with the gally door not closing so they had to de-plane and get on another and that plane had a problem with the cockpit door not closing. After they fixed that problem they took off. We met up with then early yesterday evening at the Studios to see the Lights Action Motor Cars, but the skies looked like it was going to pour so they canceled the performance. NICE! IT never did rain! But we did the Great Movie Ride and the adults took turns going on Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster. It was nice. We did see half of Fantasmic (long story I will post later!). We have our Adults only night tonight. We are going to Shula's steakhouse over at the Dolphin tonight. We might meet up later in the afternoon over at EPCOT but we will see how that goes.

Susan, Big hugs to you. I know with my kitty Radar... I still cry when I see pictures of him and when we tell stories about what he use to do.

Sally, so sorry to hear about your discomfort. I thought there was a procedure out there where they us ultrasound waves or lasers or something to "break up" the stones.

Bonnie, I'm so proud of you getting your eye surgery!! Way to go! Pixie dust to you to a speady recovery!!!

Sandy and Heidi, give those babies a big hug from their auntie Julie!!

Well, out to the pool!!!

TTFN

Julie: Pool...Pool, you better be thinking of me while you are relaxing at the pool today!!! Sounds like you are having a great time!!!!!!

Bonnie I am so sorry you are in pain....it is no fun. Whoever invented pain should be shot.....

I thought I had a strainer from last time but can't find it. Yes they said to see a urologist but what good is that going to do....my girlfriend had the treatment that was suppose to break up the stones but it didn't work.

My granddaughter has a doctor friend and she said they have a pill now that is suppose to get rid of stones but it isn't approved yet.

I did go out and walk around the yard and pulled a couple weeds but didn't stay long and didn't make any dust.

Denine and Julie I hope you are having a ball at DW

Sally you better listen to the doctors!!! We want you to be feeling better. Stay out of the yard!!!!!

ok, ok....but I think the main reason is the one pill I take said to stay out of the sun and I was in the shade

The specialist called this morning and said Dick's breathing test was normal but that still doesn't explain what is wrong with his lungs so he goes in July 5th to see him again and then they will schedule surgery. This has sure been drug out....I think it started in Apr

Sally, FOLLOW drs. order!!!! Dick is going to have to have surgery? I thought they didn't know what was wrong yet.

Bonnie, hope your pain is subsiding!

Heidi, no babies for me today so make sure you give them kisses from Grandma! I need to call her to see what the dr had to say about them. I hear thunder. Not another storm! I don't want to pull the trailer in heavy rain and/or hail! I am so ready for a pool day and I think Saturday will be an excellent day for it.

Julie, your half performance of Fantasmic has my interest. Sure was a bummer about Lights, Action, Motor Cars. I am embarrassed to admit but I am not familiar with it. Tell Denine and family we are thinking of them. Hope everyone is having a fantastic time. Oh Hickory! :rotfl:

They are going to take a small piece of lung to test.....

I am following dr orders....mostly ;)

We have had some rain but so far lucked out on the storms

No rain, I left my windows open again today!!!!!!

Mom - it is a stunt show that they brought in to celebrate the DisneyLand celebration. Okay I will give them plenty of kisses for you and me!!! I was showing off the pictures and saw my favorite one (the close up of Stacey and Joey) and now I really want to get there fast!!!

Sally - poor Dick, I wonder what is going on with him.

Oh Sally, that sounds awful. A piece of his lung? He has to take care of you....how sweet!

Heidi, it clouded up and thundered and now the sun is out. No rain YET. You are safe.
By the way, Stacey left a message that the pediatrician said it was ok with him that the babies visit Grandpa. She wants to do it on Fathers Day as a family. Sounds cool to me! We will have to set up a time. I tried but HER line was busy. Dad and I will eat dinner with him again but I doubt Stacey would want to. And you???

Count me in on the trip up to grandpa (or will that overwhelm him with too many people, because I am sure Chris would come too?) I would gladly eat dinner there again on Sunday!!!!

I did work last night 11 PM- 7 AM & it was a really good night. :goodvibes

BONNIE: You should know there is ALWAYS more pain with surgery than what they tell you. If they told you the truth no one would have surgery. Hope you will recover with 20/20 vision :magnify:

SALLY: So sorry about those stones. I bet you take your calcium like a good girl. There are some theories that the increase calcium & sometimes vitamins help contribute to the development of stones. How about lithotrypsy (misspelled)? It is a procedure where you are in a tub of water & ultrasonic waves break up the stones. Maybe Bonnie have more info.

SANDY & HEIDI: You two are too funny with those babies. I bet at one point those two sweeties are just going to want to be left alone! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

JULIE & DENINE: Hope you enjoy Shula's. Our favorite is still "Le Cellier" for steaks.

Thunderstorms :umbrella: are rolling in tonight. Hope you all have a nice weekend. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Thanks Jeanne.....I don't take my calcuim like a good girl but I do take vit. with calcium. How do you stay awake working all night?

Patti gave Dick gift certificate for Golden Corral for Fathers Day and I sold my two kilns today so we went to celebrate....so glad to get them out of the garage. I use to have a ceramic shop and then I did porcelain dolls but now that I am into scrapbooking I don't have time to do dolls anymore. If I ever want to again I have a friend that has a doll shop.

It was dark and looked like rain but now the sun is out.....
