October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Julie - Captain I think is better for you. I have heard others on this thread refer to you as the cruise director so I am guessing captain fits you well!!!

Mom - I will help you out!!

I am busy doing my research on Acapulco. I read that the diving is best at 10:30 at night. Best way to view is at a restaurant. I don't really think that I want to EAT at 10:30 at night. Wonder if appetizers would work. I read about how scary the cab drivers are and vendors. Do we really want to venture out at night? Did a little research on Curacao as well.

Denine, yes. I got the check. Thanks.

Captain Bess Flint - Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Quote for the day - You never know what that extra part is for until you've thrown it away!

Wonder if I can stay awake to watch Amazing Race tonight? Doubt it!

Later!

Gee...my name is boring and predictable compaired to everyone else. Oh well.

Acapulco- I spent a week there once. Taxi's aren't so bad just agree on a price prior to getting it although I hear they now have meters. The diving is at La Perla...I was there. True better at night however it is out a bit. The food at the restaurant was pricey...even for Mexico, and mediocre. The divers line up as you walk up the steps...I think they are looking for tips...we just enjoyed the hot bods! Went to a bullfight that same night...now that was an experience! Lots and lots of little begger children selling Chicklets...don't succumb no matter how cute!!! Some good restaurants. Swimming-it's the Pacific. The pools at the hotels are really cool though. Most have bars that you swim up to. Shopping-ther used to be a flea market type place that you could really barter. Of couse I went when you could get drinks and steak dinner for 2 people for about $10. Get Pesos before leaving...you could do better with them.

Disney baby names??? How about Perditta and Pongo!!!! At least Perditta after my cat!

Chicklets? How funny! Bonnie, do you want to come with us if we watch the cliff divers at night?

Susan, I think guys are the only ones that throw away the parts! Women realize that there has to be a place for it.

Every new project requires a tool that you don't have.

Sandy, I agree with you about the extra parts. As for today's quote, it should read, every new project requires a tool that your husband wants!

I hope everyone has a great day. We may have another round of mixed precipitation coming in tonight and tomorrow.

Later!

Mom - thanks for setting out the bread since I forgot to do it last night. I am still not feeling well so guess what, you will know that I am at home and in bed before you even read this. I am going home, I though I could do it but I can't. I made it a record 1 hour at work.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

Good Morning!!

Just popping in for a second so everyone knows I am still here ;)

Bob got home on Friday night and we went to Dinner with Mike Missy & Tiffany
at Roadhouse....Yummmmmm We decided not to go to Estes this weekend because of the snow and Tiffany was having a party. So Saturday we went to breakfast then to the commissary then home to put Christmas stuff under the house. We ended up cleaning the underhouse and took 2 loads to Goodwill and 2 trips to Missy's house with empty boxes. We went to dinner and a movie on Saturday night, Church, lunch and home to watch Lord of the Rings on Sunday. Nothing to exciting.

Bob and I are offically doing "The Thorn" again this year. We really debated because of the time committment but here we are again. He is a Pharisee and I am part of the crowd. Tiffany is stage crew and makeup. It is fun family time and we loved doing it last year so here I go again!

Julie-Girlfriend what are you doing scaring us like that! We are here for you and missed you!!

I have not had time to catch up on everything but I will.

Barb

Wow, I am late getting on and it is soooooo slow. Where is everyone?

Susan, I agree whole heartedly with the way you rephrased the quote today!

Goodness, Barb checked in. Our celebrity will be at it again. I remember it was a huge undertaking but you loved it so much. Glad that you are doing it again this year!

Wednesday weigh in: This past week I lost a total of 2.2. I think I may have passed the hurdle! Officially I have lost 34.4 since last August. Another 16 to 26 left.

I just heard from Lori and Kristy, both. They both said to say hello to all of you. Kristy went to the dr yesterday and they put her on new medication for her kidney and it makes her drowsy. She said that she is too tired to post and for that matter to do anything. Hugs and pixie dust your way, Kristy!

Bonnie, you can be the official tour guide at Acapulco!

Heidi still isn't feeling very well. It is her stomach and a migraine.

Gotta run, will check back in later.

Just a quick post to let you all know that I lost 2 pounds this week! :cool1:

I'll post more later or tomorrow.

You all have to stop losing weight! I think every pound that is lost in CO comes to NJ and sticks to me! I have been good the last 2 days...becoming suzy homemaker, martha stewart etc making my lunch !!! That is a miracle! I got tired of soup. The funny thing is that I am such a grazer that by the time noontime comes around all I have left is the sandwich!

Well...Barb came out from her second, third, fourth...honeymoon!

Heidi-hope you feel better...hope you don't have what I had! I still have a very deep sexy voice...but hey I'm in good company...the pope has the same thing!

I wondered where Lori was...another missing though is Krista!

Off to bed early tonight...love that mattress!

Asking dumb questions is easier than correcting dumb mistakes.

So far only a cold rain falling. May get a little sleet and snow before it is over with it but looks like this one is a non event.:goodvibes

Barb, good to hear from you. Glad your Bob is back! I know it will keep you busy, but find time to post and keep us updated about The Thorn. I wish I could come out there to see it. It sounds amazing.

I didn't do so good this week with weigh in. I gain 2.4 lbs. I knew it would happen. :guilty: I really didn't watch it at all this past week. Now, to get serious AGAIN!

Have a great Thursday everyone.
Later!

Hi guys, nothing new here.

Bonnie the grazer. Just make sure you load your lunch ( or would it be more appropriate to call it snacks) with veggies or fruit. Or drink water everytime you want to grab something out of your lunch. We can get you to turn that around!

Susan, don't beat yourself up over the gain. I honestly feel that going off once in a while won't hurt. I think you need to treat yourself. Now if only I would listen to my own advice! I just DREAM of yummy food. A peanut butter sandwich would be good right about now! Or a hot chocolate chip cookie. Making myself hungry. I better stop dreaming.

Heard from Faith. She has been busy with work putting in extra hours plus dr. visits with Kristy. Mikey and her are going to Fiddler on the Roof in NY. I would love something like that!

Will check back in later. Hopefully there will be more chatter.

Feeling a little better today, thought I would try to put in some hours at work. My stomach still hurts but the migraine is gone!!!

Congrats on the weight loss Denine.

Barb - your going to be a star again? Wow it's so nice to know you. I know you were extremely busy last year but I am sure it is all worth it.

Since the last weigh in and due to stop exercising I lost 4 pounds. I think I lost all the muscle that I have been building up!!! Hopefully next week I can start at the gym again.

Mom - maybe tomorrow we can look at arch supports (since you made me genetically retarded when it comes to feet!!!) so I don't destroy all of my joints with running at the gym.

Great idea Heidi looking for those arch supports. Don't blame me on your feet! Dad doesn't have the best feet either. Four pounds. Wow! Be careful!

I need adult stimulation today. Can you tell? Graci is talking more than I can handle. I am tired and it is so hard today.

I am so happy I finally lost something! I thought I would be the only person on WW to never lose any weight!

I worked yesterday morning and was not a happy camper. SOmebody erased my time again. I was supposed to work tomorrow, but my time got erased so I picked up yesterday instead. I got there and was asked what I was doing there. I wasn't on the schedule. Someone had erased my time again without telling me! Ther persone that I suspect of doing it said she would go home, but never fessed up. She ended up working 8 because the other nurse came in sick, so she went home. I made it quite clear to everyone they are not to erase my time without asking. If they want my day, all they need to do is ask. I have to arrange for Jerry to work from home in order to go to work. I have been there just about 4 years. I should have some seniority!

Today is Jerry's birthday and I have been working all morning making dinner. It is baked gnocchi in tomato sauce, salad, parmesan puffs and chocolate cake. All for 11 points. The gnocchi has not potato. It is made with low fat ricotta cheese and spinach. The sauce is homade as well. It smells good. The parmesan puffs are little rolls baked in mini muffin tins. The chocolate cake is self explanatory. it is all from WW cookbook except for the puffs.

Sue: Every new project does require new tools!

Heidi: Hope you are feeling better!

Sandy: You have done so well on your weight loss. You are my inspiration right now. Well, you and the August cruise. I have my security set at high and had no problems getting the newsletter. I don't know!

Went to the mall last night. Kaleigh got a Stitch for $5 and I got a pair of pants and a spring sweater for $15. I love Christopher & Banks! The pants are a little big, but for $5, I couldn't resist. I will get $5 wear out of them. They were originally $40. The sweater is 70% silk and was originally $45 and I got it for $10. We didn't get what we originally went for, but hey!

Barb: I know you are happy :cloud9: that Bob is home. Sound like you will have fun being a stat again!

Bonnie: Just watch what you eat and you will be able to lose the weight. I make extra food for dinner and package it individaully for Jerry to take to work. Bonnie the tour guide!

Kristy: Pixie dust to you! :wizard:

:cake: :bday:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JERRY!!! :cake: :bday:

Hope he has a great day! Denine beat me to it in announcing his birthday. I couldn't get on last night or this morning.

Nothing exciting here. I lost 1 more lb. this week. We have the Big Guy's birthday party Sat. Not exactly sure what we are having, but I think we are going to have at least Sloppy Joe's.

Well, gotta go. Glad to see Barb back and Heidi feeling a little better! I'll try to stop in later!

TTFN

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERRY !!

Denine, the cruise and the heat is my inspiration. Glad that maybe I can help you along! Jerry's birthday dinner sounds very yummy. Please report how it is.

Julie, sloppy joes sounds really good right now. I bet I could figure out a way to make them for me with ground turkey and ??? I know that catsup is a no no so low sodium tomato sauce and spices perhaps? Mmmm, I even have light buns!
