Those who fail to learn from the past are condemned to repeat history class.

Visited the middle school last night for the parent introduction and transition meeting. What a change this is going to be. Turner's elementary school has 275 kids K-5. The middle school will have 850-900 and there will be about 300 6th graders next year. That's more than his whole school this year. I'm sure he will do fine but it will be a big change. He has already selected his electives! He wants to take Art and Creative Writing. He continues to surprise me with his choices!

We are supposed to warm up to the 50s for a day or two and then back to the 30s. At least we didn't get the ice or snow. I'M READY FOR SPRING!!!

I just had a thought: Bonnie, get a room for the cruise. You room with Jeanne and Joyce. Pam can go and Heidi and I will room with her to keep her company. (Are you game, Heidi?) Sounds like a plan!!! When should I start packing?? What will I take? I'll need to buy some more clothes! I don't even care if I don't lose the rest of these pounds! Where's the suitcase? I need to get a pedicure! Maybe I should try to get to the tanning bed before we go! I've got to check on flights! I might need another memory stick for the camera! I need to check out the excursions! I need a formal gown! I wonder if Captain Tom will be at the helm? I hope I win Bingo! We should have another wine meet like we did before! I'll even bring champagne!! I wonder what Castaway Cay members will get this time? I just can't believe it. So much to look forward to!!:teeth:

I hope you all have a great day!!

Later!

Susan - Wow, Turner chose Art and Creative Writing, I would have ran far away from those 2 classes. :teeth:

I am game Susan. I think that is a perfect plan. :boat: Now I need to save up some $$ for drinks :drinking1 I need to get some new swimsuits and matching flip flops, I need to get another formal dress. I think I will join you with the pedicure and manicure. I should also take some classes for my digital camera (since I have never used it before) so that I can take the perfect pictures. Wow I am so excited. :cool1: ;) :earboy2:

The guard finally got brave!!! This morning he asked me if I would go to the movies with him. He is such a nice guy but I had to break his heart and tell him that I am not single. His name is James, but his friends call him Budha (probably because he shaves his head bald...thats the only thing I can think of.)

Susan, you crack me up. I say.......do it! Turner will be fine. It is always so scary to hear what they have to say at all those meetings. But our girls never had a problem. Turner won't either. Turner definitely has a creative side. Wish I did.

Heidi, poor James. What a cutie. Sorry you had to break his heart!

Jeanne, got your email. Thanks. I will work on it today.

No Bonnie, she must really feel bad!

Julie, do we have to send out the mounties? Sally? Where are you? You only come and go lately.

OK Susan and Heidi...Make the reservations!!! I will tell Pam! Of course we all are responsible ffor keeping Heidi hidden from Sandy and Ted. Paul and Turner can hold down the fort in NC. Just think of Ted with all we women! Whew! Think he can handle it? In all honesty I really wish this plan would come to fruition.

Climbed out of bed to check on you all. Missing a big meeting at work today with one of my groups. Not a good one to miss. But the bathroom has called today along with the fever. The cough is better but boy my chest and ribs hurt at the thought of coughing. Put me in the dumpster! I feel like the trash truch ran over me. :sad2:

Denine-sounds like you had a great weekend...glancing at it anyway. Check on Julie for us. Need to know all is well.

Sandy-Through mental telepathy I'll bet I know what the email to Jeanne was!!! I am soooo good!!! I'll tell you...can't beat my powers of deduction! :rolleyes1 That is why Ryan always got caught when he did something he shouldn't have when he was younger.

By the way Watch Wheel of Fortune tonight...this is the Night Ryan is on. Who is he anyway?

Back to bed under the covers. The fever breaks during the day but comes back in the evening with a vengence and nothing breaks it then! :sad2:

I am ready to go back to the B&B NOW! Kaleigh is driving me nuts. Diaper changes are a big production, but she is not ready for potty training. She never wants to eat what I put in front of her, but will request things over and over. Fir the 1st time ever, she just climbed out of her crib. I had just signed on , she was quiet and I hear this big kathump. I ran upstiars so fast to see Kaleigh standing in her room holding her blanket. She wasn't crying. I picked her up and told her it was nap time, the quiver lip started, and I put her back in bed. So far, so good. Do I need to get a big girl bed now? I am just tired and frustrated and am venting.

Bonnie: Hopefully you will feel better tomorrow.

No, I have not heard from Julie either. I will call if I get a chance.

Heidi: Poor James now has a broken heart.

Sue: We received the pillow. If Jerry didn't write you a ckeck last night, he will today. Thanks so much! Turner will be fine in school next year. I agree with Heidi, I would have run from those classes!

Sandy: Good for you. We weigh in tomorrow and I know I won't see anything good after this weekend of eating. I found the website with the excursions. Now I just need to look at it.

We are supposed to get up to 32 today before we go back to the dumpster. Freezing rain again tonight. Jerry has to get the pipe for the sump pump thawed AGAIN. We haven't had a chance to insulate it yet.

I am sooo tired of being cold and of seeing snow and gray skies. I want summer.

Jerry went shopping for me last night. We didn't want to take Kaleigh out in the bitter cold with a cough and runny nose. Anyway, he bought these Skinny Cow chocolate peanut butter ice cream sandwiches. Boy, are they good and only 3 points!

The pet sitter is coming over this evening so we can show them the ropes for next month. She was recommended by our last pet sitter, so I hope she is good.

Kaleigh is still in bed.

I looked at the excursons. There is 1 in Acapulco that looks good and maybe 1 in Cabo San Lucas. I think we will do Curacao on our own. It is hard with Kaleigh. She will be too young for the clubs, so we will be dependent on Flounder's being open.

Gotta go do my treadmill.

Just a quickie while it is on my mind. Tonight is the night that Ryan will be on Wheel of Fortune. I for one am going to watch it. Almost naptime so will check back in a few minutes.

Hi Denine, sounds like you are stressing today. Take a deep breath.

I haven't looked at the excursions yet. Normally we hit the beaches but I am thinking more on the lines of checking things out on land this time.

Poor poor Bonnie. Sorry you aren't doing so well. You sound miserable. If you lived close by I could give you chicken soup! Sorry when I posted earlier I didn't go back and read the posts. Guess my reminder about Wheel of Fortune was a bit late! Bonnie, my TA did tell me that you have late dining. Maybe you guys better check into it. I thought that Jeanne had made it for early.

Denine, don't beat yourself up tomorrow if you stayed the same or gained. Your trip was very important. The weight loss can wait! Glad you did it! Thanks for the congrats but remember with my history, I will probably gain some of it back tomorrow. It is so crazy!

Predicting a little more snow tonight.

I will be watching "Wheel of Fortune" at 7:30 PM tonight to see Ryan Dankanich. I can't wait to see what he wins.

SANDY: I know that thing about Bonnie being on the late dining. Joyce & I are still on the main dining. Poor Bonnie - eating alone :sad1:. I AM trying to fix it. So we got the cabin situation worked out, now all we need is another cabin!

Doggies are visiting again. Took them to the park which wasn't plowed but it worked out great because I put the car in four wheel drive & once we got into the park I could let them run because no other cars could make it.

Hope you all are well. Miss you all :grouphug:. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

WOW, RYAN REALLY IS A HOTTIE ! I agree Bonnie. It is too bad that Ryan didn't meet Heidi!!

Jeanne, are you serious? Another cabin?

Do a little more each day than everyone expects and soon everyone will expect more.

My brother has another appt. scheduled for Monday for a second opinion here in Charlotte. I think he would rather come here to have his surgery than stay at the local hospital.:worried:

My Dad has to go in this morning and get 2 units of blood. When he went to get his blood checked yesterday and get his shot the blood count was way down. They think he is bleeding somewhere and plan to schedule an endoscopy. First they want to give him more blood. So, I'll be back and forth today with him.

I saw Ryan on Wheel and yes he is quite handsome. Wish he had had better luck. At least he won something. Bonnie, you should call him to congratulate him. It may be the opening you guys need to mend things.

Didn't watch tha Race last night. Just too pooped to stay up. Where do we stand???:confused3

Julie! Oh, Julie!!! I'm getting worried about you!:confused3

Barb! Oh, Barb! Bob will be home so soon and I am so excited for you. I know you have missed him so much. We miss you too when you are not posting. Let us know when he is back and your lives are back to normal.:goodvibes

Where is Sally? If you guys are still having nice weather she is probably busy outside cleaning some of her flower beds. I sure could use her here (just to plant a few flowers!).;)

Denine, glad you guys got the pillow. Better go get a big girl bed. Once they get out of the crib there's no turning back!:teeth:

Heidi, start packing! We're going to have a lot of fun!::yes::

Got to get ready for work.
Later!

$2,500.00 is a nice little sum. I wonder if Ryan had to pay for his trip or if Wheel of Fortune paid for it. Bonnie - there is something about Ryan that reminds me of you. I don't know if it's the eyes, the smile or what, but there is definately you in him.

Sleeting this morning (which is really miserable). :worried:

I just love this dancing banana  & had to put him in the posting!

BONNIE: Hope you are on the road to recovery.

Hope you all have a good day. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

They added new smiley's!!! I love the banana guy  and I love this guy :rotfl2: too cute.

:flower2: Susan - I am starting to pack, I will meet you there. Pixie Dust and prayers :wizard: for your brother and family.

Amazing Race - The wrestlers got eliminated last night, not too sure who had them. I know that my team is still in as well as Julie's, my dad's, and Gary. Too many reality shows are coming around again....AR, American Idol, Simple Life, Survivor soon, Apprentice, and I am sure I am forgetting a few more that I watch.

I watched Ryan on Wheel of Fortune last night and he is a very good looking guy, very handsome. It was fun to watch him and actually know of him!!! He won some money, he started out good but faded fast.

Bonnie - I hope you are feeling better, I don't have the flu but I have a sore throat that won't go away. That is my only symptom.

I was going to go with my sister to her dr. appointment today for the ultrsound, but she told me that she didn't want to risk it with me and the sore throat so she won't let me come. I understand, but we are both sad. Writing this just made me think, she told me that she didn't want to risk it with me coming around her at the ultrasound, but then she also told me she would try and stop by after the appointment......wouldn't that still be being around me with the sore throat  Sounds weird to me, I guess I will have to go make a phone call. That just doesn't make sense. Okay done obsessing.

Well, fever gone, cough better, got up today showered, made coffee, peice of toast and it was all downhill...or downstream ...from there. Unfortunately the throne called for the queen.

Yes Ryan is a hottie...or was...he was better looking before he put on some weight. He has also become rather affected ...a little too put on but then that is how the rest of her family is so I guess he is completing his transformation. :confused3

Yep..cute new smileys.

Susan-better for your brother to go to a larger hospital that may have more experience with heart surgery.

Morning, rushing out to weigh in plus Dillards is having a 30% off Clearance prices. Gotta go looking for a new wardrobe.

Love the new smileys. I hate it when I just post the quickie way and I don't have the options. Oh well, my faultl!

Bonnie, as I said earlier. He doesn't look heavy to me. Especially if the camera does add 10 pounds. Wow, still sitting on the throne? Better drink some gatorade or something. Don't want you dehydrated! I talked to Bonnie last night and heard her cough. It is a wicked cough. No wonder her chest hurts!

Jeanne, I did sign up a long time ago for the Ship of Fools DISmeet on Sunday and will sign up for the wine tasting. What the heck....you are right!

Susan, I agree with Bonnie on the larger hospital!

Heidi, you are right! Stacey didn't make sense about not seeing you at the ultrasound but coming here instead. Hello????? Anyway, I have a haircut appt at 2:00 today so will be hard to get a hold of. My phone will definitely be on.

I think I lost today. I have to go. I am so excited. Will report the findings when I get back.

HI, EVERYONE

SANDY GOT YOUR EMAIL MOM HAS IT I WILL SEND IT SOON! it's been while since i've been on. things are a little crazy here. I got some blood work back from my dr. at Joslin. and it is not looking to good for my one kidney. she said I have to come in before I will lose it. the test is surposed to be less then 30 mine was 95.8 so we've been stressing about it. I go and meet the kidney dr. on 02,01. at 9am wish me luck. I feel bad about not keeping up on the boards. I should have, it would have given me something else to think about. anyway I hope everyone is well. Sandy Ted, and Heidi PIXIE DUST to you for today.

TTFN
KRISTY

KRISTY: Good luck with your kidney test. You have been through too much for a girl your age. :worried:

BONNIE: I told you get out & play in the snow to kill that virus!

SANDY: Can you believe Dreams Unlimited is providing the food for the wine tasting? Very generous of them.  I had to put the dancing bananas on again. Love those guys.

Well have a good day. I am back to work on Thursday & Friday. Doggies have been very good today so I bought some soup bones & cooked them in the oven for them (they are cooling now) so I will have a peaceful afternoon while they naw on their bones. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Sandy: Yes, it was a trial of a day yesterday and today started out the same way. At least Kaleigh has not crawled out of bed again. She told me she was going to do it today and I told her not to and she hasn't. Last night as we were putting her to bed she said "Mama closed door and I crawled out of bed" It was cute to here her telll it.

Pet sitter seems good. Hopefully she will be.

Unfortunately, I missed Ryan. I forgot all about it with the pet sitter and when I remembered, it was too late.

I knew they got a sponser for the wine party, but they didn't reveal it until last night. Guess I gotta go over and check it out.

We decided not to weigh in today. We will next week.

Kristy: Good luck with you appointment.

I go back to the dentist tomorrow, yippee  I hate novacaine!

Bonnie: Continue to get better!

Heidi: Drink some alcohol. That will get rid of the sore throat! :teeth:

I'd love to take Kaleigh out to play in the snow, if only it could be in the 30's. She still has a cough and a runny nose.

Sue: Pixie dust :wizard: to your dad and brother.

Denine - good advice regarding the cure of a sore throat!!!

Jeanne/Mom - what is this about wine tasting and DU providing food? Isn't the food free anyway on the ship? You have to provide details so Susan and I can plan also for this nice event.

Kristy - What is up with that? I am so sorry, if there is anything I can do for you PLEASE let me know. Even if it is a phone call to talk/scream/cry/vent, I am here!!

Bonnie - I am sorry you are not feeling any better. Darn weather isn't helping I am sure.

Okay someone has to seriously call Julie. I am worried about her. Where could she have gone, something had to have happened.

We got some great news today. Leslie, Patti's oldest daughter has been teaching school for 5 years and she just found out she is in Who's Who of American Teachers. They only select 5% of the teachers for this honor. She is really following in her mothers footsteps. Patti isn't a teacher but she graduated the very top in her college graduating class. She is good at anything she puts her mind too. Thank God my kids took after their Dad....he is also a very smart guy. He married me didn't he....lol
