I am here....just got out of the shower and am cleaning my bedroom....just found out Dick's niece is here in the Springs....her daughter is going to the Air Force Academy next year....how fast they grow up.

It has been really nice here this week...I worked outside two days cleaning up some of the dead leaves....suppose to be colder today..now 38 but back up in the 60's next week.

Glad you lost Barb.....thought maybe dinner here Friday wouldn't be too good for you....

Great wedding...many missing people but still good. 8inches of snow and unfortunately the worst was coming down when I had to drive. Stil had a good time. My priime rib was perfect!!!! Blood rare! mmmmm....

Well off to bed for this Cinderella.

Woke up to what looks like another 4 inches of snow. The walks that were clear are now snow covered again as is the car. I thought I got lucky last night being able to pull the car in where the plow how been....no snow covered again. Oh well. To top it all off I fell like I am getting the flu bug that is going around here. just great!

Julie...haven't heard from you. I hope all is ok with the house.

Sorry I have been missing for so long. Computer scan found several malicious problems and I couldn't deal with it until the weekend so I shut it off. All is well now and I am back up and running.

My brother's cath came out OK. No blocked arteries but they did confirm his valve is only functioning at best at 50%. They are saying it must be replaced in the next couple of weeks. He has an appt. with a surgeon on Wednesday. Keep the pixie dust coming our way.

Bonnie, I hope you aren't getting the flu. It has been miserable here. Almost everyone I know has had it. There are actually 3 strains going around in our area according to Paul's doctor.

I owe you all a lot of quotes from my calendar so you'll get a couple at a time until we are caught up.

Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine.

It is easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them.

The probability of winning the lottery is slightly greater if you buy a ticket.

Have a great day everyone. I'll post again later.
Love ya!
Later!

Morning guys, another crazy day here. Do you ever notice that you have a crazy day when your hubby is home? He is sitting right here being annoying. Husband for sale!!!!

Bonnie, I was going to call you this morning to see if you made it home ok. Glad you had a good time. Hope that flu bug doesn't get you down too bad.

Susan, nice to hear from you again. I was thinking about your brother the last couple of days. More pixie dust is sent to him!

Barb, wow, two or three posts. Good for you. Romantic weekend is SOON!

Denine and Julie-----are you guys ok there? Heard on the news that you guys have bad weather as well.

Heidi talked to Kristy yesterday and they are getting the bad weather too. It sounds so wide spread. All of you guys are getting hit hard. We are basking in 60 degree weather. Better watch what I say as March is our snowiest month.

Got the computer back and am in the process of making the 2004 cruise DVD. New program so it might take forever. It is a Ted, Heidi and Sandy production.

Wednesday is almost here. Can't wait to hear about the baby and Stacey.

It is time for our weekly run to our favorite Mexican food restaurant. They have a buffet on Sunday mornings so I get scrambled eggs and fresh fruit only. That way I can stay on my diet and Ted can have his smothered burrito. Heidi gets a variety. Oh my, I am really hungry for it now.
BYE!!

Jeanne's Eagles are doing great! I'm glad since I don't like the Falcons.

Here's a few more quotes from the calendar:

For every action there is an equal and opposite government program.

Delay is preferable to error.

Don't worry about your enemies. It's your allies who will do you in.

A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the suport of Paul.

History repeats itself. That's one of the things wrong with history.

We are caught up now so I will begin a daily quote tomorrow.

Warm wishes to everyone. We are cold here but at least the sun came out today.

Who is left in the AR competition. And when is the last show. I don't want to forget to get the trophy out to the winner.

By the way, Denine, I sent the tooth fairy pillow. You will probably get it Monday or Tuesday.

Hope all goes well with Stacey and the baby (pixie dust)!

It was good to get back on the computer and catch up on everything. Glad to see Bonnie is going to get to go on the Panama Canal cruise. Me, Heid and Julie will sacrifice to be the ones to stay home and keep the thread alive. I know you guys will have a great time but for that long you must get the internet access and post while you are gone.

I'm gonna go get dinner started.

Later!

Eagles are Going To The Superbowl!!!!!! :bounce: :jumping2: :bounce:

Fly Eagles Fly!!!!!

Well, I got it good...fever, chills, bronchial cough...but that's OK...We're goin' to the Superbowl!

Poor Bonnie but at least you are a HAPPY SICK PERSON !!! I loved it when the Broncos went to the Super Bowl. The whole town seems to change and become one. Nice!

I agree with Susan. It will be a long time without internet access. Maybe we can share the price.

We got the excursions today. Have to do a lot of studying that is for sure. Lots and lots of homework. It is hard because no one has done it before us....at least the DISboard people. Don't know where the stops are for the 7 day people in between the two repos. Maybe we might learn something on a couple of stops.

Better run. Just checking in. Dinnertime for us just like Susan.

Congratulations all you Eagle fans!

I asked for SNOW & boy did we get it and, of course, it was my weekend to work so I had to drive home Saturday night in snow that was REALLY deep & drive in again this AM & home again but the Jeep did great!

BONNIE: No way are you putting Pam in our cabin - she can join you & Heidi!!!!!!!! By the way. Did you notice that you're having dinner by yourself? You are the only one scheduled for the late sitting.

Got to see a very little bit of the game so I will watch the highlights tonight on the news. Very proud of the EAGLES :cloud9:. FLY EAGLES FLY ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY! :cheer2:

SANDY: I haven't received anything on the shore excursions. Do you want to be Julie the Cruise Director & tell us what looks good?

Hope you all stay warm because we are freezing! Have a great week. Toodles  :earboy2: JEANNE

History doesn't repeat itself--- historians merely repeat each other.

Nothing new here. I have to go to a parent introductory program at the middle school this evening. I can not believe they are already talking about my baby going there next year!:worried:

Hope everyone has a great Monday.
Later!

Jeanne-I wouldn't survive 1 day in a cabin with Pam...she is dying to go however. Just bringing her along to the wedding I was aggrevated. How do you know what dinner I have? Did you get a confirmation for me? If so can you give me the numbers so I can call and get it fixed?

Stayed home sick today...not much sleep last night with the body aches, sweats etc. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Coughing is bad enough but the aches from the fever! I'm getting too old for this.

Well back to bed for me.

Good Morning!

Just trying to get a quick post in before I get to busy.

I talked to Bob this morning he comes home in 4 days!! We are having Tiffany birthday party next weekend so no Estes Park for me.

Sorry about all the snow Bonnie. It is beautiful here. Kind of gives me Spring fever! :umbrella: I love the Spring but don't like the heat in the summer.

Barb

Poor Bonnie, I hope you feel better soon. I am glad you made it through this weekend and the snow.

Sounds like the East Coast got hit pretty bad. A coworker was in Boston last week and had a 9 hour delay this weekend at the airport to get back to Denver.

Susan is right, we have to sacrifice not going on the Panama Canal to keep this thread alive!!

Thanks for the quotes Susan, many of them are so true!!!

Julie, oh Julie...where is Julie? I hope she is okay, I think we might have to make a call.

I know why Denine didn't post this weekend, she had her romantic weekend. How was it Denine?

Barb - Estes Park, I love it up there...you know you can always stop by my house on the way back to the Springs and you can drop off some Taffy from Estes Park!!! I love to go up there.

We are back from our wonderful weekend away. I sent you an e-mail with the link to the place wher we stayed. It was fantastic and we can't wait until we can go again. We just wished we were able to have 1 more day. The other couple that was staying there was wishing the same thing.

Details:
This was our 1st experience with a B&B so we didn't know what to expect. I surprised Jerry with the package I had booked. It included the room, a bottle of champagne, a basket of snacks/goodies, fresh flowers, a reservation and gift certificate for a nearby restaurant with free dessert.
We dropped Kaleigh off and she did fine. She was great the whole weekend, but is a bit clingy today.
We arrived at the B&B around 7 PM. We didn't go get anything to eat and just enjoyed the snacks and champagne. For a while, we had the whole house to ourselves. No one else was there. The bed was very comfortable, but I don't do well on strange pillows. There was a jacuzzi tub, but we didn't have time to use it. Saturday morning, the snows had already arrived. It snowed all day and accumulated to several inches. Breakfast: Fresh orange juice, Irish breakfast tea with Irish cream creamer, Fresh mango and papaya slices, buttermilk blueberry scones and this ham and cheese egg thing in puff pastry. They also had sausage, but I don't like sausage. The tea kept flowing until we were all done chatting. We did go out in the storm to the square and did a little shopping. I bought a pink hand blown glass ball with a heart attached to the string for myself and a pink with green for our freinds that were watching Kaleigh. We then went back and played cards. The owner made us more tea. We then went and got ready for dinner. It was awesome! We each had a martini and a jumbo crab cake. I had potato crusted cod over lobster, bacon risotto. OMG! Jerry had this pork chop with a mustard sauce with sauerkraut and kielbasa side dish. We each had a warm pecan pie with ice cream for dessert. The food was amazing and the restaurant was full despite a snow storm! Sunday morning came so fast! We again had fresh OJ and the tea. We had fresh pineapple and kiwi. The scones were white chocolate/coconut. We had blueberry cream cheese stuffed french toast with bacon. The bread was made fresh on Saturday.
The house was built in 1937 and they have been open as a B&B since 2000. It is all an Irish theme and they conduct tours to Ireland yearly. There was always Irish music playing in the backgroud. The china was covered in shamrocks and was from Irealnd. The room was so cozy.
If you are ever in NE ohio, you need to stay here.

Today is back to the ususal grind, but now we have Hilton Head to look forward to for Valentine's Day.

Bonnie: I hope you feel better soon!

Sue: Glad you fixed your computer problems. More pixie dust for your brother.

Barb: Only a few more days!

Sandy: Did they send you the shore excursions or did you find them online?

That's it for now.

Glad you had fun Denine, the place looks beautiful were you stayed. I have always wanted to stay at a B&B up in the mountains. BTW, have you heard from Julie? Just want to make sure they are okay.

Hi guys, I had a very good day with weigh in. I lost 1.6 from last Friday. Had a heart to heart talk with them about my slow results. I was to reach my goal in two weeks but still have 20 to go. They said not to worry that they won't charge me. Yahoo!! I try so very hard and honestly stick to the diet. They rearranged some things, added some things to see if that will work. If not they have more plans. I bought a 124.00 sundress today for 12.00 but it would neet to be altered. Not sure if by 20 or 30 pounds it would be worth it. It is lined so I know that it will cost more to have it altered. I can keep it for 30 days and decide. I want it so bad. It is so nice. I thought that it would be a good Lumieres dress.

Denine, John at Dreams Unlimited sent me an email. The shore excursions are on their web page. Let me see, what did he say? I just copied it over:
We have some great news!! We have just posted the shore excursion information for some of the ports of call on your upcoming cruise. Specifically we have the list of shore excursions for Curacao, Acapulco, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas as well as a brief description and pricing.
Please visit the Cruise Line Main Page of our site from any side bar menu and look under the area for the ports of call.
By the way it is dreamsunlimitedtravel.com. Jeanne, I sent the info to you via email yesterday. Did you get it?

Denine, your weekend sounded wonderful. Glad you enjoyed it. A B&B always sounds so inviting. Maybe someday.

Barb, hope you get to Estes soon for that get a way. You two deserve it! Isn't the weather heavenly. I so wished I wore a short sleeve shirt today. I am with you, I love Spring but don't like the summer heat. Panama cruise will be very hard for me. That is why I HAD to lose weight.

Bonnie, get well. You sound so miserable. Heidi thinks she might be getting it as well.

SANDY: Received your e-mail & replied.

BONNIE: I'm getting ready to give you a call.

DENINE: So glad you had a nice weekend . The B & B looks beautiful.

It snowed another two inches this afternoon. There are cars still not dug out from the first snowstorm!

Now you all have to cheer on the EAGLES & learn the EAGLES song. Fly Eagles Fly on the road to victory. Fly Eagles Fly score a touchdown one two three! :cheer2:

Hope you all have a good week. We are trying to stay warm :grouphug:. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE
