Oh Julie, Julie, Julie! Just so you know, we are looking.
Barb: Hope you had a fantastic reunion!
Jeanne: Sounds like you have had a busy dining schedule!
Sandy: Glad your estate sale went well.
I am jealous of all of you getting upgrades! We have never gotten one and we haven't always had a verandah. We used to only get cat 11. You will enjoy!
I don't know where to start with our trip. We spent most of our time in Epcot for the flower festival. It was really pretty, but not much in the way of professional talks this year. Two years ago we saw P. Allen Smith. This year it was mostly Disney gardeners, but that doesn't do me any good becasue they talk about how to plant in the south.
We made it to MGM once (extremely hot and crowded) and Animal Kingdom once (extra magic hours in the evening) much nicer. Our restaurants consisted of The Plaza in the MK, Alfredo's, Rose & Crown, Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner and the Macaronni Grill. We cooked out by the pool 3 times and had sandwiches other times.
We had our Family Magic tour with my friend Stephanie. It was a lot of fun, but mostly for kids. At the end, we met Peter Pan and Wendy and then went to see Mickey's Philharmagic with them. That was pretty cool! We sat in the front row. Peter was 1 person away from me. Then we received a certificate.
We had Kaleigh's hair cut at the barber shop and then they did it up like a princess, complete with pixie dust. She was soooo cute! Why won't she let me do her hair at home?
I was so excited. I could have hugged the girl. We went to buy margarita's at the stand in Mexico and the girl asked Jerry who the other one was for, I was standing next to him. We said me. She asked for my ID. I told her I loved her and that she would understand when she saw my ID. I have never been carded by someone much younger than me.
We did see the Pecot fireworks one night and stayed for Wishes one night there wasn't a parade and then steyed one night for the parade. It was a mess getting out after the parade! They on;y had half of Mainstreet open for people exiting, the other half was people stadning waiting for wishes.
We bought another Larry Dotson print for the office of the Partners statue in front of the castle. We had it shipped home and it was waiting for us whne we got here. We also bought a welcome rock with Mickey on it, Tinkerbell windchimes and the flower festival poster and hdd those shipped home. They haven't arrived yet.
The airborne seems to have worked again.
We had such a nice time and the weather was nearly perfect. We had the one absolute downpour with a lot of wind that got us soaked in spite of everything and then we had one cool (73) rainy day. We took a break and went to the Disney Outlet store and just hung around the resort watching movies. They really needed the rain becasue of all the fires down there. For a while, they had 12 miles of I-95 closed a little north becasue the fire jumped the road. Most days were sunny and in the upper 80's low 90's. Awesome! Not much humididty either.
I am sure I will think of more as the days go on.
