Hi all ,still haven't read the thread. I am having one of those vacation let downs. I am better today than yesterday.

Heidi: Sorry the girls didn't get more excited about the trip.

Just trying to get back to normal life around here. Jerry went back to work today. I actually did the treadmill. I have a lot of weight to lose. I haven't weighed myself since before Easter and I know I have gained.

It is sunny, but cold again. It is currently 49. It is supposed to get warmer as the week goes on. We will see.

Hi guys!

HEY DENINE, I KNOW A WAY TO GET RID OF THE VACTION BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth: :teeth:

I have been checking for airline tickets for you guys and if you go to priceline you can get them for $180 each. The only thing is you won't find out what flight it is until you pay for the tickets. It would be a natinal airline jet (boeing type of plane). You have DVC for the room, your have your passes, you can use magical beginnnings or I could come and pick you guys up at the airport..... SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??????? I'm sure that everyone here on the thread would say go for it.... WOULD YOU ALL???? :teeth: AND remember...... JERRY DID SAY THAT and I quote...."DENINE I'M PUTTING MY FOOT DOWN AND WE ARE GOING DOWN IN JUNE!!" SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO??????????

Barb, sorry I didn't respond before, but yes, Denine and Jerry will be on our cruise Oct 14th 2006. You should come!! It's a double dip at Castaway Cay!!!!!!! Maybe the comedian can pick Jerry again! HAHAHA!!!

Heidi, I'm soooooo sorry that the twins reaction wasn't what you guys had hoped for. We have the same problem with AnnaMarie. She is turning 16 in August and we thought for her present we would take her on the Oct cruise with us. She would only miss 5 days of school and she could get extra credit in spanish since we will be going to two spanish speaking ports. SO, when we brought this up to her, her answer was "I'm torn, cross country states or regionals might be one of those weekend." Now, no disrespect for her, but she isn't that go to go to either race. She is a good average runner. SO for her not to jump at the opportunity to go on the cruise, crushed us!!!!! I know you you and Chris must feel.

Well, gonna go. I'll be back later!!

TTFn

Denine - I agree with Julie, you should go back to WDW with them in June...it will definitely help you out with the post-vacation blues by planning another trip in the next few weeks. I loved the pictures you emailed, my favorite was with Kaleigh and Belle and in the background was Epcot.

Julie - Good to know someone knows how I feel. Chris and I were soooooo excited, and their reaction was just heartbreaking...it didn't hurt me as bad, it hurt me because I knew how excited Chris was and the disappointment that he felt. He gave the girls their presents and had tears in his eyes because he was so excited. Oh well he will still get to see their excitement in a few months when we are actually there and they are running around like crazy wanting to see everything.

I was there when Chris told the girls about their trip. I felt bad for BOTH Heidi and Chris. Of course, it is their age, too. Opening gifts is always fun. I know how excited they will be when we board the plane, when they hit All Stars and from there it will escalate. They started talking about it when we had brunch afterwards. I think they just don't understand what WDW has to offer. I wonder if they think it is more like the local Six Flags.

Barb, oh Barb. I thought about you all weekend. I mean ALL weekend. I hope you and Bob had a wonderful reunion!

Denine, welcome home. I understand vacation blues but I can usually pull out of it knowing that I have another one to plan.

Julie, sorry about Anna Marie. I know how crushed you must have been. Unfortunately, now that she is a teen you will probably see more of that.

Had a nice time at the campground. It was good to be back there with nothing to think about and nothing that had to be done. This week I will be commuting between here and there so you might now hear much from me.

Oh Julie, Julie, Julie! Just so you know, we are looking.

Barb: Hope you had a fantastic reunion! ;)

Jeanne: Sounds like you have had a busy dining schedule!

Sandy: Glad your estate sale went well.

I am jealous of all of you getting upgrades! We have never gotten one and we haven't always had a verandah. We used to only get cat 11. You will enjoy!

I don't know where to start with our trip. We spent most of our time in Epcot for the flower festival. It was really pretty, but not much in the way of professional talks this year. Two years ago we saw P. Allen Smith. This year it was mostly Disney gardeners, but that doesn't do me any good becasue they talk about how to plant in the south.
We made it to MGM once (extremely hot and crowded) and Animal Kingdom once (extra magic hours in the evening) much nicer. Our restaurants consisted of The Plaza in the MK, Alfredo's, Rose & Crown, Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner and the Macaronni Grill. We cooked out by the pool 3 times and had sandwiches other times.
We had our Family Magic tour with my friend Stephanie. It was a lot of fun, but mostly for kids. At the end, we met Peter Pan and Wendy and then went to see Mickey's Philharmagic with them. That was pretty cool! We sat in the front row. Peter was 1 person away from me. Then we received a certificate.
We had Kaleigh's hair cut at the barber shop and then they did it up like a princess, complete with pixie dust. She was soooo cute! Why won't she let me do her hair at home?
I was so excited. I could have hugged the girl. We went to buy margarita's at the stand in Mexico and the girl asked Jerry who the other one was for, I was standing next to him. We said me. She asked for my ID. I told her I loved her and that she would understand when she saw my ID. I have never been carded by someone much younger than me.
We did see the Pecot fireworks one night and stayed for Wishes one night there wasn't a parade and then steyed one night for the parade. It was a mess getting out after the parade! They on;y had half of Mainstreet open for people exiting, the other half was people stadning waiting for wishes.
We bought another Larry Dotson print for the office of the Partners statue in front of the castle. We had it shipped home and it was waiting for us whne we got here. We also bought a welcome rock with Mickey on it, Tinkerbell windchimes and the flower festival poster and hdd those shipped home. They haven't arrived yet.
The airborne seems to have worked again.
We had such a nice time and the weather was nearly perfect. We had the one absolute downpour with a lot of wind that got us soaked in spite of everything and then we had one cool (73) rainy day. We took a break and went to the Disney Outlet store and just hung around the resort watching movies. They really needed the rain becasue of all the fires down there. For a while, they had 12 miles of I-95 closed a little north becasue the fire jumped the road. Most days were sunny and in the upper 80's low 90's. Awesome! Not much humididty either.
I am sure I will think of more as the days go on.

Denine, sounds like you had a pretty good time. I hope we get to see a picture of Kaleigh with her hair done up. How cute!! Stacey has the partner statue and I would really like one too. Maybe someday!

I was reading on the Cruiseline forum about autographing pillowcases, which I have done. One person posted a picture and it had Jiminy's autograph. My new goal in life is to get it. That person had sooooo many autographs. I had them done for my girls and my niece and nephew. Mine didn't even compare to hers.

Heidi, a friendly reminder about trip insurance and transfers from port to airport. (just got off the phone with you)

Denine - your trip sounded awesome and so relaxing. Glad you had a good time.

Julie - (I think Denine is giving in, keep working on her) :)

Mom - Thanks for the reminder. Of course I put the comparison paper on top of my purse and left it at home!!!

My best friend is taking me out to dinner for my birthday tonight. She won't tell me where, she wanted to start off with getting us pedicures..but the times won't work out for her. It will be a fun night!!

I have to start focusing on excursions for our cruise. I think St. Thomas will be with my parents and drinking bushwackers, St. Lucia will probably be touring the island and going to the waterfall, zip line, volcano, and some other stops, Barbados will be the beach and the Malibu Rum Factory Tour, and then CC will be the Eco tour. Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Heidi: Those excursions sound great!

I forgot that we also saw 3 flower power concerts. We saw The Association and then we saw Davy Jones twice. Can you believe some people were lined up 4 hours in advance just to get front row seats for Davy Jones? We have seen him before and he puts on a good concert.

Sandy: I didn't even know Jiminy gave out autographs! Go for it!

Heidi, what is this zip line thingy??? Please clue me in. I feel so lost. You will have a great time tonight with Taura. Give her a hug from me.

Denine, I didn't realize that you went to a couple of concerts. Davy Jones and The Association. I use to love them both. I think I like The Assoc better. Cherish was my favorite song by them.

I got some pictures from Heather (Graci's mom) yesterday from their WDW trip and Disney Wonder cruise. Can't wait to get more today.

Good Morning!!

Down stairs checking some accounts and decided to see what was happening on the board. I was in the middle of a long post the other day when Ethan wanted up on my lap next thing I know my post was long gone!

Bob came in on Saturday but he was there early so I wasn't there to greet him :furious: I was sooo sad. I had been working on cleaning the house all day and was just finishing up getting ready when he called. We decided to go to a movie and were headed out the door when my Dad called and said my neice had a flat tire and wanted to know if Bob would fix it. So he got broken in right a way to being home. We did go to see the 10:00 Mission Impossible 3. Sunday we got the gazebo up in the back yard and Monday we were racing around trying to get some other stuff done before his Mom got in we went to the place Jason and Michelle are going to get married. It is about 45 minutes away. Bob got fitted for his tux and we went to the commissary.

We are heading out the door to go shopping in a few minutes then we are having 15 people for a barbeque tonight. Tomorrow is graduation for Amanda and I am going to work on Thursday. Friday I will be working like crazy trying to finish up the graduation stuff.

Welcome back Denine. We sure missed your posts on the boards! Hey I didn't get a call from you! ;)

All this talk about Disney is making me crazy. I want to go sooooooo bad!!

Have a great day!

Good to hear from you, Barb. I was beginning to wonder if you forgot all of us when Bob got home. lol

First off, Barb: Glad Bob got home safe and sound! Sounds like you have been very busy since. I hope all the parties/events go well. You have worked so hard! Oh, and I don't havve your phone number.

Second, Julie wins again! We booked Saratoga Srpings for June 8-12. The only reason we were able to do this is because we got great airfare out of Detroit. $88 RT for 2 of us and $188 RT for the 3rd. We waited too long or we all could have gotten the really cheap rate. It was there this morning, but gone by noon. We leave at 7:45 AM on the 8th and leave Orlando at 6:40 PM on the 12th.

I called and left Julie a meesage.

Now, I just need to find someone to work the 9th for me.

We still need to book the rental car, it should be $98 and a nights stay in Detroit on the 7th.

Are we nuts or what! :lmao:

Denine - that is too funny you are meeting Julie in WDW in June!!! Wish I could too.

Barb - I am so glad Bob made it home safely, I thought about you this weekend and if he made it home.

Yippee for Denine! BUT.....talk about GREEN with envy!! I am totally shocked at the air tickets. WOW!

I can't believe we are doing this. I was wrong about my airfare. I get the $44 one way, but it is $99 the other.

We got the rental car booked and I found someone to work for me. Now we just need the hotel for the night in Detroit. It is about 2 hours from here. I did contact the pet sitting people.

Kaleigh is excited. She had already asked on Saturday if we were going back to Disney World.

This will be our 25th trip to WDW and Kaleigh's 10th trip.

Now, since we will be there for the final weekend of the flower festival we can go see Peter Noone. He puts on a good concert too.

We are looking forward to spending time with Julie and family.

Blah.... Headed off to bed. Soooo tired. We had about 15 people over for the barbecue. It was really fun though. Tomorrow is Amanda's graduation.

Denine...YOU ARE SOOOOO LUCKY!!!!! I WISH I could go to Disney as much as you

Yesterday Bob, Jason, Michelle and I went to Mystic Meadows to check on some last minute stuff for the wedding. It is a event center with a pond behind it. We were down by the pond checking out the water when Jason just about jumped out of his skin. I saw the water moving and realized it was a SNAKE! I hauled butt back to the building. The snake hopped up on the bank and Bob decided it would be fun to tease it. He was poking it with a stick. I couldn't believe it, what was he thinking?? Didn't he realize that the snake could have eaten him!! As far as I was concerned it was time to postphone the wedding and find a new place to have it!

I did get a little enjoyment out of it though. After we got home I told Missy it was really important to Jason that the she do a wadeing in the water picture but didn't tell her about the snake until I had convinced her she really had to do it. I sort of threw in the snake as a "BY the Way" :lmao: . :lmao: Man I LOVE to tease my kids! Makes life worth living!

Barb - that is so mean but so funny about the snake and the wading in the water for a picture. That is something my BIL would have tried to convince me to do!!!! Hopefully you do not have an unexpected guess that slithers up during the ceremony. When you stated that the snake couldhave eaten Bob I had to laugh out loud.

I can't wait to get down to the campground and relax and hang out at the pool. I am so looking forward to this weekend. I will also drag my mom out to the garage sales down there because I am desperately looking for bunk beds.

Hi everyone....

I am still around but working like crazy to get my gardens done and the house cleaned by the 29th when my daughter and grandaughter comes.

I got bite by a spider when I was working outside a couple days ago. It bite me right in the middle of the inside of my arm and it is red and hard all around it and itchs like crazy.

It wasn't a good weekend.....Saturday I went to Home Depot to get some more bricks and I lost my checkbook with credit cards and drivers license in it. Lucky I had just written my last check.

So yesterday I had to go get another drivers license and get my name changed on it. It has always been in Sally but the last time we flew they gave me a hard time about it because Dick had made the reservations in Sara. Good thing we had our passports or I would still be in Flordia...probably working as a Pluto or some such
character.

One good thing is they renewed it for 5 more years and my other one was due in 2008.

I haven't seen Barb since before Mothers Day or heard from her so I have to read what she is doing on the BB. Too bad she lives so far away :rolleyes1 If they have snakes where Jason is getting married I may just have to pass on the wedding. I don't know which I hate more, snakes or mice.

I hope my new furniture gets here in the next few days. They said they have it in stock in Denver so why it takes l0 days to get it I don't know. As soon as it gets here I have to go out to my grandaughters new apartment and decorate. We have bought most of the things but will need to get a few more when we know what else we need.

Good Morning,

Just downstairs checking on my email and some accounts. Bob's Mom is getting ready for the day although I have no idea what we are doing.

Mom-That is terrible about your checkbook. It is a horrible feeling not knowing who has your stuff. Hopefully it will turn up somewhere. What time is Linda coming in? Will you come to the graduation party? If you don't come then none of my family will be at her graduation party.

I am going into work tomorrow...BLAH! Save some of my vacation time. That will leave me with only 2 days to finish the graduation party stuff.

One of my friends that has been helping me with the finishing touches for the wedding is coming over tonight I will be at Amanda's graduation so I won't be here to help. I am down to mostly bows.

Sure wish I could find some of those great prices for airline tickets. I priced our December tickets and they are still really high at $360 each. Sure hope the prices come down.
