October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Oh, no I didn't buy the blue couch without your dad. I told him I found one I liked but we had to shop for a month before he finally said ok. I would rather do it this way

I went plant shopping this morning and my goodness I had a time finding anything. Everything is high plus picked over today...finally went back to Walmart and got a few for a bed I am trying to finish.

Mom-Did you happen to notice if Wal-Mart still had those daisy topiary looking tree plants? When I was there the other day they had a bunch but boy were they selling fast. They were $24.95. I wanted to get one. I need to get some more plants hope there are not too picked over!

Don't remember seeing any.....I think the best Walmart is on Woodman....want to go out there and see what they have.

I finished another bed but so many more to go....our garden hose sprung a leak and it can't be fixed so have to get another one...

Hello, hello, hello!

I am tired. Is it bedtime yet???? My feet are killing me. Too many birthdays coming up. Now that we know that Chris' girls will be with us on the WDW leg of our trip, I bought them autograph books and will attach Disney dollars to them.

Barb, do I ever remember the bow making days. Somehow they ended up my chore and the flowers were Richard and Ted's. Go figure??!! Soon, Barb, soon Bob will be home.

Sally, I am so glad you posted. I have been thinking about you and forget to post it. Maybe it was ESP or woman's intuition. I love your couch story. Your granddaughter got an awesome deal on her apt. It would be sooooo much higher up here. Housing in general is more here. I could get much more of a house down there than what I have here darn it!!

Better run. I was gone all day and have tons to do. Bonnie left a message looking for me, too.

HEIDI: It looks like it is all working out with the girls They must be so excited. Not as excited as your mother & I but they are probably excited.

This WAS my only day off because tomorrow I have to go in for a "Preceptor Program". Friday one of the nurses I have worked with and who is also a friend is retiring. I have know her for 23 years and all I can think is HOW LUCKY. She gets to retire. Hope you all had a Wacky Wednesday and have a Twinklie Thursday. Miss you all. Toodles JEANNE

Hooray, my team won again!!! I was so glad the hippies won, I got a little nervous during last nights episode but thankfully they won!!!!! I was suprised to see that they ended up in Denver again!!!

Jeanne - I can't wait for you and Joyce to meet the girls (and Chris's family for that matter!!!!) Bonnie has met the girls but now all the dudettes will meet them.

I wish all of you could meet us at WDW so you could at least meet the girls and Chris!!! Chris's sister (she lives in St. Pt. Lucie, FL) will meet us up at WDW on Sept 2 and will also stay at All-Star Movies and will leave on Sept 5th. She is bringing her clan of her, her DH, and 3 girls; plus Chris's mom, plus Chris and the girls, plus 3 dudettes, plus 3 Van Horn's = 15 crazy people staying at All-Star movies!!!!

Newbie Question: Since the girls will be 9 years old when we fly to FL, I know that as adults they check our licenses but what do we have to bring for the girls? Anything?

Good Morning!!

YAY the Hippies won!!!! It just makes my blood boil when the frat boys talk about the Hippies playing dirty at the end. What do they think they had been doing from the beginning playing fair???? Kind of like MOJO being soooo mad about the Hippies yielding them and how that was SOOOOO horrible and unfair. If they had gotten there 2 seconds faster they would have yielded the hippies!!!!!! I am glad it worked out the way it did.

Last night was a TV challenge night. "Lost" "American Idol" and "Amazing Race" all on at the same time...... Thank goodness for remotes!! Heres me last night.... watch...click click....watch....click click.... watch... click click... repeat.....I mean to tell ya my fingers were plain worn out!

Didn't get to much done on the wedding last night. Right after work I went to Pine Crest (the event center where we are having the graduation party) and had my final walk through. Then went to Lowell's for some more flowers. You are soooo right Mom the flowers are horribly picked over! Did you make it to the North end Wal-Mart? I may stop there today after work. After I got home I planted the stuff I did buy and started working on my front yard. I only have one flower bed in the front. Our house was built in the middle of a field nasty nasty sandy rocky dirt. I decided this is the year I am digging out all the crappy dirt and replacing it with soil. I got one section done last night and have to finish the rest today.

Bob should be in New Finland today. Tomorrow he will be in New York then Saturday home!!!!

Heidi, I am so psyched about the girls. Haven't talked to Dad yet about coming home on Sunday.

Today was an exhausting day. Too many "twin" birthdays to shop for in a weeks time. Got it done today and managed to get myself something as well. Then I am shopping and packing for camping this weekend. We have to replenish the trailer as wel take everything out over the winter.

This is a hi and a goodbye. I have no idea when I will be back on. Have a great weekend. Hugs to all.

Joyce & I went to the "Preceptor Program" today and I just couldn't wait for it to be over. Lots of hand-outs, reading, etc. and not too exciting.

BARB: I can't even imagine how excited you must be getting.

It was really beautiful & sunny while we were inside for the program but as soon as we were done it clouded up and even rained!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't wait until we are all in WDW together. Then we will have the cruise with our VERANDAH! Just too much excitement for me

Good 2:45 in the morning. I have't woke up and not been able to go back to sleep for awhile and it was so nice.

I have so much to do and yesterday was a wasted day...didn't feel like doing anything. Did get my Disneyland rose that my son sent me for Mother's day planted.

Criss got moved into her apartment but is going to stay here until she gets everything unpacked and sorted. She said she had a lot of stuff to get rid of at the garage sale.
She is taking today off so she can go through things.

She decided that a couch and love seat are going to be too much for her space so we went out to Sofa Mart and got her a recliner.....I am taking the loveseat and I exchanged the chair and footstool for a recliner. He said that is going to put our delivery date ahead about l0 days...darn. I want it this weekend so I can get the living room done but it is going to be so nice when it is done.

Hope today is more productive for me....I really need to get my yard done. It is 58 degrees right now....that is why I woke up, I got too hot and we have the bedroom window open. Guess I will go back to bed and see if I can get to sleep

Wow Sally, you were up early in the morning. I hope you were able to fall back asleep.

Tonight we will be birthday shopping for the girls. All my ideas are falling out because I can't find them anywhere, how frustrating. I guess we will see what I end up getting tonight!!! Then tomorrow I am picking up my little cousin and we will be babysitting the twins.

I hope my parents are having a relaxing time down at the campgournd, they deserve the break (even though I wish I was there and am jealous!!)

Yesterday they let us go early because they had to turn off the water because of a main water pipe break and told us to call the information line this morning just in case it was still off, nope had to go to work!!!!

HEIDI: Did you know that one of the hippies on the Amazing Race was from South Jersey? There was an article in our local paper about BJ Averell. He graduated from Collingswood H.S. (which is about 15 mins. from my house) before going to Harvard. His parents still live in Collingswood, N.J.

Said "Good-Bye" to someone I have worked with for 23 years since starting at Virtua. It is both a sad and happy time. I will really miss her but she is going to be able to enjoy her retirement in Delaware. We are taking her out next Wednesday for dinner. Tomorrow I have to say "Good-Bye" to our Unit Secretary too! She got a new job at the Nursing School - no weekends, no holidays. She is just a wonderful person and we really will miss her too!

Working all weekend so don't expect me to post but think about me working hard. Hope you all have a Smashing Saturday. Miss you all. Toodles JEANNE

We are home. I will read the thread maybe tomorrow. None of us were ready to come home to the cold and rain.
Missed you all. Only 2 of you had margaritas on us, sorry, but if you enjoy wine, we had plenty of that!

Well we did not get the reaction out of the girls that I thought we would get. They were pretty much not interested or very excited. They were more excited about their new Disney CD's. They didn't even want to watch the DVD's we got them about WDW. I felt so bad for Chris.

HEIDI: I am so sorry to read how the girls reacted. Those pre-teen years are the worse. I hated from about 8-12. When they become 13 they some tend to get better since they have an identity. They have become a "teenager"! It was probably really bad for Chris.
