October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

It is already beautiful outside. I have my windows open. Can't wait till Jerry gets home and we can start working outside. Not about to do anything with just me and Kaleigh. Went for a walk to the new construction area yesterday and picked up a bunch of medium size rocks to edge another bed with. I saw a really pretty one that would be a nice accent rock, but it was too big to put in the stroller. We need to go back with the car.

Went to the store this morning. Jerry volunteered me to make the tater tot cheesy potatos for Easter, so I needed the stuff. I made cookie dough last night. We are going to make cut-outs tomorrow. I got all kinds of pastel sugars in Amish. We go to color Easter eggs on Friday at Jerry's mom's. Kaleigh is looking forward to everything Easter.

WOW Sally, you do have a lot of beds to take care of! It snowed on my birthday last year. I hope we are done with winter!

Sandy: Hopefully after the estate sale, your life will calm down a bit. I like my cast iron skillet. Once it is seasoned, it is so easy and you can use it on the flat top stove. I just did last night.

Barb won't know what to do after all of the parties are over!

Heidi: Hope your all day thing isn't too boring.

I got a shipment of plants from Springhill yesterday so have to get them in the ground today...it is and beautiful out

Dick is fixing a leak in our sprinkler system in the front bed where I have to work so when he is done I am outside

We didn't have scrapbook club last night as our teacher's daughter had a baby and she wanted to be at the hospital. It is scheduled for next Monday which is our 57 anniversary. That is ok though as we will go out to eat at noon....Dick prefers that to night and he will be in bed when we are at scrapbook class....Just because he gets up at 5 he thinks he needs to go to bed early and he will be a year older this coming Friday

My little weeping cherry tree is in bloom....love to see all the new things blooming every day.

Denine, I can understand why you don't want to work outside with a little one running around....

Hello from sunny Colorado. IT was great waking up to such a beautiful day. We might get a few sprinkles, but hey, who cares? We get our lawn aerated tomorrow so a little moisture today would be perfect so we don't have to water in the am tomorrow.

Denine, how do you season your cast iron? I was a bit hesitant to try using it on my glass top but if you have then you have eased my concerns! Sounds like your day is going great!

Sally, sounds like you are enjoying your good weather like the rest of us. 57 years? Wow, to think how proud I am of 31 years and the two of you have been together for 57 years. That is something to brag about!

I left the "presentation" early and came back to work for the afternoon. Apparently they thought my job was HR and IT developer. They presenter started speaking in some kind of weird language that I had no idea about....stuff like code, .exe/script, java....okay I am not in IT so I left when we broke for lunch!!!!

For all the CO people, did you know that B-52's bar downtown that sits next door to Lodo's bar and grill is closed. It will now be the new home for MTV's Real World reality TV show. I wonder how much $$$ they paid B-52's for them to close up.

I LOVE this weather!!!!!

They started to power wash and paint our complex. Last night I had the crap scared out of me. I went to the kitchen at about 7:45 to get some ice cream and there was a man outside my kitchen window on a ladder and another guy on my balcony. I screamed and ran back into the living room where Chris was!!!!! Then I remembered the painters and I guess they were still working. They are only supose to work until 7:00 but if it gets the job done faster, I say keep painting!!!!

Good Morning!

Can you believe I got so busy at work I forgot to post! We had a 2 1/2 meeting. BLAH........ Then I was doing typing all day.

It is beautiful here. Something about Spring puts me in a good mood. Summer on the other hand makes me crabby because I hate the heat!

I love this show on called Rebecca's Garden. It is on at 5:30 when I am getting ready for work. She is a lot like Martha Stewart was before she went to a dumb talk show. Today show we went on a field trip to the Denver Botanical Gardens . Sandy or Heidi have you ever been there? Do they sell plants. I really want to go. Thought it might be fun for my Mom to do for Mothers Day. Hummmmmmmmmm

Going to "The Thorn" tomorrow night. I am pretty excited. This year there are live Tigers. Can't imagine how Tigers fit into Jesus's time so it should be interesting. Bob received an email from the church about The Thorn. If you remember from last year Bob has been in The Thorn for the past 8 years. I was in it the past 2. I decided against it this year because Bob is gone and I have so much to do to prepare for the upcoming events. Anyway Bob emailed me so sad about not getting to pet the Tigers!! IS HE CRAZY!! What if they eat you!!!

Barb has already lost it and it isn't even Friday! I would love to pet the tigers! At the fiar one year, Jerry and I had our picture taken with a bengal tiger. It was fun. It was huge!

It was so nice out yesterday. We got a bunch of stuff done in the year. I got my 10 baby flowering trees from Arbor Day Foundation planted. The ones I got past year (that didn't die) are doing great! Gee, in about 10 years, they may look like something. We also went to Home Depot to by a new tree to replace the one that died. I am supposed to be getting a credit for that one. I bought a cherry. I forget the name, but it has what I will descrbe as "fluffy" flowers in the spring. I will have to wait until next year to see them though as it has already leafed out. It is so nice to see a tree instead of a stick in the mud! I also bought 2 ferns for the shade garden. I lvoe working in the yard! Kaleigh played in her sand box and complained that she wanted to come inside. We said no.

My MIL called a little while ago saying that our nephew who will be 2 on Friday was taken to the ER with a seizure. She said he had a fever, so it is probably febrile.

Why doesn't Bonnie love us anymore? If she did, she would post!

Sandy: I think that I rubbed crisco all over the inside and put it in the oven for a while. The insructions said to do the outside too, but that made a mess. After washing, without soap, ever, set the oven to 200 and let it dry for about 10 minutes and then leave it in the oven till it is cool. That way, it won't rust.

Kaleigh can't wait to make "sprinkle cookies" today. She keeps asking when are we going to do it. I keep telling her when daddy gets home because he likes to do it too.

Heidi: Jerry has been to meetings like that! I would have been startled too if I wasn't expecting anyone on my balcony!

Sally: Amazing, 57 years! That is awesome!

I work tomorrow and Friday. I sure hope the sickness is gone from that place!

Heidi, I bet that worker had a good laugh at you screaming at him. That is, if he survived the fall from his ladder from you scaring him as well with your scream!

Nothing new with me. Just waiting for the aerator guy. I posted a new thread on getting pepsi to the resort and they told me to try netgrocer.com so I am off to check them off.

I have started a "To Do" List for Bob once he gets home. Guess I will email it to him so he can start making mental preparations. I also told him he has a time limit. He made some sort of SNOTTY remark about me being really good at pressuring him. I told him it is just a gift!
