I'm back now Bonnie. Did you miss me?? I thought that pic of you in the porthole was very cute. I don't blame you for joining WW. I didn't want to be embarrassed by not losing either. That is why I joined LA Weight Loss. And it worked for ME!! Hey, can you please send me a copy of that cool picture that you gave to your mom of you. I love it and would love to have it. Also, could I get the pirate picture too?

Denine, yes, Michaels does have that several times a year but I needed to get it done so it didn't get ruined. Sounds like Kaleigh's party is going to be perfect. I will have to scan that pic of all of us on formal night and have Heidi post it here.

We got one side of the trailer done between yesterday and today. Now 3 more sides. Tonight we went to the nursing home to see/help our friend. It is now 8:50pm and we are tired. I hear my bed calling. Goodnight all.

HI all! Just stoppingin to say hi! I have been reading the board everyday, but have been fighting a headache/migraine for the past 2 weeks now. I'm busy with school stuff, but will always have time for all of you!

Friday Makenzie's school was evacuated due to the guys working on the parking lot cut a gas line. I was very pleased with the way the children and the school handled it. They did go back and finish the day when they got the all clear. It was about 11:45am when it happened and went back in to the school an hour later. I was picking up the Big Guy from preschool (which is across the street from Makenzie's school and where her school went to when it happened) so I got to see the whole thing. Fun fun fun!!

We went to Kaleigh's party on Sat and had a really nice time. I wish I could have stayed more, but the kids had worn themselves out (as a matter of fact, the Big Guy fell asleep in the play pen in their basement where the kids were playing). Garry didn't go since he got home fromthe night before at 3pm on sat., but the kids and I went and had fun. Kaleigh got some great stuff! Makenzie is already talking about when we are going to see them again.

Well, gotta go. I will be back later on this week. I will try and post everyday, but I don't know if I can if my head continues to hurt.

See you all soon!

Love ya!

Julie-sorry about your headache.......my daughter gets those and really suffers with them....I use to get them but after the change they quit..

Had a good weekend...Friday night my granddaughter wanted to have an all night crop so I said ok...she was surprised I would do it but I called her bluff. She lasted until 2 and then went home....I was up until 3 and then called it a night.

Yesterday we went to a couple scrapbook stores...she is making her own baby album so was looking for some things. I am working on a couple albums at the present...just finished one on my dogs.

Have laundry and cleaning to do so guess I better get busy...another week and then October....Christmas is less than 3 months away...yikes, another year almost gone

Hi all!

Kaleigh's party turned out really nice. We all had a good time. She keeps thinking she is going to have another one on Saturday. I sent you all an e-mail with pictures.

Someone has to send me an actual copy of the picture of us on formal night. The only one left at Shutters wasn't good and I kept forgetting to ask on board. So, please go to Walmart and have a copy made for me.

Bonnie: COngrats on joining WW again. It has really worked for me, just not for Jerry. But he doesn't eat right. He doesn't eat enough during the day and doesn't eat his requirements a lot of the time.

Ate too much this weekend, couldn't help myself. Julie brought this really yummy caramel apple salad. I had some this morning.

Jerry's dad is going to the cardiologist this afternoon. His mom found a company that will take him for $75. Not ideal, but he has to go, he has been cancelling so many times. Supposed to go over there tonight to take them some lasagna.

We bought a small tree at Lowe's yesterday for $10. I really wanted a river birch, but some were just too much $$. This will be easy to plant and should adapt well.

Also, bought some nice pumkins yesterday at a garden center. They will look good carved.

Now, I am thinking about Christmas shopping.

The weather has definitely turned cooler, not my idea of good.

Going to Amish tomorrow since the gas prices didn't jump. Jerry is taking the day off.

Good morning.

What a great surprise to see Julie posted. Yikes, a gas leak. Glad you were happy that the school handled well. Guess you knew first hand since you were across the street! You will have to post the caramel apple salad recipe. It sounds yummy just by the name. Sorry about the migraine. As you know, Heidi knows all too well about those too.

Denine, glad that the party went well. I can't believe you bought pumpkins already. I did that one year and they were all mushy and moldy by Halloween and couldn't carve them. I have already bought gifts for Christmas. I am trying to figure out what to buy Graci's mom on her birthday this Friday. We share the same birthday, odd isn't it? I am thinking about Disney Dollars since they are going this spring on a 3 land, 4 day sea.

Sally, I would never call your bluff. I know that you would beat me everytime. Surprised your granddaughter didn't realize it. LOL. The weather sure was perfect over the weekend for scrubbing the trailer. So Fall like! I love this time of year. Do you ever go see the Aspen's change? We used to all the time but haven't the last couple of years.

I heard from Jeanne. She has been kept busy but will post when she can. Heidi must not have her computer at work hooked up yet.

Sandy-do you still go camping....this is such a pretty time of year...the trees really started turning here over the weekend....

you are right about carving the pumpkins yet....I just put mine out as is until close to Halloween and then my granddaughter is going to carve them so I can take pictures....we even dress our dogs in pumpkin outfits for pictures.... :rotfl: they aren't too happy about it...

Time to think about lunch....It would be so nice to have someone plan your menu for you....better yet do the cooking. It is only 63 out so time for another pumpkin pie

Sally, I would gladly do the cooking if only someone would plan for me. No, we are now done camping. We are winterizing it soon.

Hi everyone! Like Denine said, it is starting to get cooler around here, but I like the change. I love the heat, but I do love the change in weather.

Denine, I have already started tp buy for Christmas. I have I think 3 gifts so far per child. I figured it I buy some gifts every two weeks (pay day of course) then I will be ok (keeping my fingers crossed).

The Carmel Apple Salad is as followed:

6 granny smith apples (cored and cut into small chunks)
6 snicker bars (frozen)
1 package of instant vanilla pudding (small box)
1 tub of cool whip

cut the apples, set aside
in another bowl mix cool whip and pudding together
smash up snicker bars with hammer or rolling pin (while in the wrapper is best) then empty into cool whip mixture (bit size chucks or smaller)
mix in apples and chill

That's it! It tastes like the carmel apples you get at fairs. So good and yet so easy!

Nothing exciting here today. I'll be back later!!!

Yummy Julie, you bet I will make that one! I hate heat so am very happy that it is starting to cool down too. Speaking of heat, we were waiting in line at Frontier in Orlando and a woman said she remembered me from the cruise. She said that I spoke to her in Curacao. She said she couldn't forget me because of my red sweaty face. It was so hot there. Everyone was sweating. But no....she had to remember ME! She didn't remember talking to me in the elevator. He had a shirt from CO on so I asked them if they were from CO. Hmmmmm, guess I am only memorable with a red hot sweaty face. LOL

Oh Bonnie, when I asked you to send me a copy of those pics, I just meant via email. That is if you can.

My Aunt passed away on September 19th  She died at home (which is just what she wanted) but it was VERY hard on the family. It now means getting the house ready to sell & getting my Mom moved out of her house to mine. Now this is a woman who hasn't left the house in a year! Took off last week for the funeral but now I am back working. Joyce & I worked together today & work together again tomorrow (could be a Los Amigos night :drinking1 !!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know what has been happening. Not much free time. Miss you all. :grouphug: Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Jeanne=sorry to hear about your aunt. It is hardest on the family. But now to move your mother in!!! Oh my...if you need anything let me know.

Julie-good to hear from you. Sounds like a fun party.

I have Monday night football on and who is playing for Denver??? Ron Dayne!! He's the kid that went to high school with Ryan! I hope Denver's coach knows how to play him better than the Giants did. He was terrific in high school and college. Talk about a big guy! Not tall but BIG!

Picked my mom up at the airport, nearly got killed on the way home, talk about seeing your life flash in front of your eyes!!!Thank heavens for antilock brakes! An idiot cut across me, as I was going about 65 to take an exit 3 lanes over.

Sally-was that 3AM???? Yikes!!

Sandy-I was planning on taking the pictures to the store to copy...turns out nicer than scanning. I will have to get the one from my mom although that is awfully big!

Bonnie-yes 3 am....crazy I know. We quit at l0:l5 tonight but I have to put dishes away from the dishwasher and load again from dinner....

Yeah, Denver won....... :cool1:

Pie was good.....but pumpkin always is

Julie-your recipe sounds just like one I make with fun snickers.....good but it has to be full of calories but then what isn't that is yummy

Sandy-where is Heidi?

I'm here Sally. Heidi is MIA because they are getting new carpet at work and had to tear down the computer. As of yesterday, she was still without a computer.

Jeanne, I am soooooo sorry to hear of the loss of your Aunt. I know how hard it must be on all of you. Things will be a bit crazy for awhile but then it will slow down. You deserve to go to Los Amigos. Wish I could go with you. Have Joyce give you a hug from me.

Bonnie, you don't have to go to all that work for the pics or if you do, I will pay you for the pictures. I am excited. There are some crazy drivers out there. Good thing you were on your "toes"! (guess that is the ballerina in you, lol) That's pretty cool about Ron Dayne as a classmate of Ryan's! Guess I will have to pay better attention to the games now. At least the Broncos won on Natl TV! Ted and I were outside winterizing the trailer last night. Couldn't watch the game. Heard it was very good and the city looked pretty. If you come out here, you would know first hand. Oh, bring Jeanne and Joyce when you do, too. Wouldn't that be fun?

I'm back!!!!!!! Sorry for being MIA for so long. Stupid IT department at work!!!! I got packed, unpacked and the rest of the office packed and unpacked and IT still didn't have my computer hooked up. I was supose to have it back Friday Morning but only 1 IT person came to work that day and he worked on everything else BUT HR!!!!! We had strict instructions from IT not to hook up our computers but wait until they got there. We ended up calling their boss to see what was going on......someone got in trouble!!!!! Oh well, I am back and still online!!!!!

I missed you all.

Heidi- I missed your posts :goodvibes first thing in the morning....no post from Heidi is a no post without a smile :) or something like that.....

We got rain early this morning and it is dark out and only 45.....and here I am without a can of pumpkin to make a pie....

Good day to work on my sewing room and then scrapbook.....

Welcome back Heidi. LYMI. Missed you lots.

Sally, it is definitely a cold and dreary day. I have to go weigh in. I hope the day doesn't reflect on what is to come with my weight. Pumpkin pie sounds so yummy on a day like this. I have been wanting to try two new pie crust recipes. Can you believe that I have never made pumpkin pie or for that matter, a fruit pie either. Just cream fillings like chocolate......no, not jello pudding kind for all you smarty britches.

Have a wonderful day everyone.
