OMG Bonnie, you are too funny!

Went to work this morning. It has been raining most of the day. We are going to our friends later and won't be home until around 3 AM as usual.

Kaleigh keeps talking about her birthday party and how all thses people are coming to her house and that there is going to be a big cake with candles for her to blow out (note to self, by candles). She is excited to say the least.

Doing research on digital cameras since my film camera is dying. There sure is a lot to know. I like the film cameras, so I am not certain that I will go digital, but it is pretty likely, as long as I can put my pictures in an album that I can hold onto, not one on the computer.

No further saga updates today.

Denine-go digital....I did not want one....tried to talk my husband out of buying me one but he did anyway and I love it...so simple! I have a Pentax and Dick has an HP....

Oh my...I got bleeped! First time ever! I guess I can't mention body parts. :teeth: I guess we can't talk about captain tom's birds!

Denine...I love my digital. It take a little getting used to. You can bring your memory card to have the pictures developed like regular film. The picture turn out better than those that you print on your own printer unless you have a really good printer.

Did nothing today. Had an offer to go to a craft fair but declined.

Hi Sally!

My Aunt is in a hospital bed & sleeps all the time. Spent the day helping my cousin. The hospice nurse says her systems are "shutting down" by her vital signs. My cousin just doesn't understand what hospice means; he keeps wanting to put her in the hospital. He wants to feed her (even though she chokes on water). It is VERY hard watching a loved one deteriorate but it is her wishes. At this point we just hope she dies peacefully. She asked to see all the family & friends yesterday so everyone got to say "good-bye".

HEIDI: Love the pictures. Bonnie is correct. I would have gotten all the names wrong. I could not remember who was who at the next table. I need to learn the NAME ASSOCIATION TRICK.

BONNIE: You can always have you know who back.

Hope you all have a good weekend. Trying to catch up on e-mails. Miss you all. :grouphug: Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Jeanne-this one is just about as bad as you know who...however this one is possibly worse because she challenges everything and refuses to learn the correct way to do things because she thinks she already does it perfectly! Every supervisor she has ever had (3) has had problems with her...she always goes to HR. She has a chip on her shoulder.

Name association was easy with this group...superheros (Clark) Kent, (Batman and) Robin...then the 2 terry's...Theresa and Terry. Now...Terry and Theresa can't be married because that would be too weird. Therefore Robin is married to Terry and Thersa is married to Kent! Easy!

It does seem to be hard for people to understand the theory behaind hospice. I am sure your aunt is much happier being home in her final days rather than a cold hospital. It is harder on the family though.

Jeanne: Sorry to hear about your aunt, but hospice is wonderful!

Enjoyed getting out last night.

Busy today. Had to go to Target, got those birthday candles, and Home Depot. Jerry is outside working on a problem with standing water. Kaleigh is going down for a nap very soon.

I bought the cutest dress for Kaleigh at Target for $10. It is one piece, but with a sweater top and a pleated plaid skirt bottom. We couldn't resist. Sorted through her clothes and I am washing up the new ones and hand me downs for the fall season and put summer clothes to give away in a box and others in a box to keep. Bought her some new black shiny mary jane's.
Julie, I have a box of clothes for you to go through on Saturday.

It is a nice day today. Mostly sunny and upper 70's. Not ready for those cold days yet!

Until tomorrow.

Another day over my aunt's. She doesn't even wake up or open her eyes. Tomorrow Joyce & I are going to a conference for the day. It will be a nice break just to go to a conference instead of work & relax.

Just wanted to let you all know I was still alive & kicking :cool1:. Hope you all had a nice weekend. The weather has been really warm :sunny: but beautiful. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

Jeanne - I am sorry about your aunt, hang in there.

Bonnie - to post pictures is very easy. Set up an account at www.photobucket.com, download the pictures you want. At the bottom of the pictures, there is an IMG code copy that code and paste it into a reply on this thread and......your pictures will then be posted. If you need more instruction, let me know!!!!

Well I am not sure how much longer I will be posting, the judge is threatening to shutdown our internet at work again. It was supose to happen last Wednesday but we got an extension due to Reclamation helping out with the Hurricane. Who knows when/if it will happen. Last time it was shut off for 2 months!!!!

I had a very nice weekend, even thought I did get side-tracked and bought stuff for my niece and nephew instead of pirates stuff for me!!!!

Another Monday.

Been busy all morning and Kaleigh has beend riving me nuts. She is better now.

Nothing really going on.

Heidi: I hope you don't lose your internet access.

Jeanne: Hang in there.

Good morning everyone....I am in the process of digging up iris and replanting them.....the weather is in the 70's. I am doing as much as I can getting my beds ready for winter.

We went to the Happy Apple Farm yesterday and I got a pumpkin, cider and apples. The pumpkin is in the backyard by the scarecrow that is in one of my flower beds that I can see out the kitchen window....

Hope things are getting better for everyone....

Good Morning!

I have a minute so I thought I had better post before I get slammed again.

Had a really fun time at Happy Apple Farm yesterday except for the heat.
There was about 13 of us that went there. Got some cute pictures of Ethan with his first Halloween pumpkkin and of Mom carrying her Halloween pumpkin through the pumpkin patch. :teeth:

Tiffany and I had our Missionette class last night. We have about 20 girls now. Sure hope they don't keep adding more.

Heidi- WHAT you HAVE to be able to post!!! I will miss you!

Barb

Best part about fall is Starbucks Caramel Apple Cider....yum!!!

Sounds like Barb and Sally had a lot of fun this weekend. I LOVE to pick out pumpkins and then carve them. I am very picky over what pumpkin I choose, it could take me up to an hour to pick the "perfect carving pumpkin."

I will be lost if I won't be able to post here and talk with all of you. So far we still have internet but are coming up with contingency plans if we get shut off the internet. All of our HR systems are online based on the Presidents E-initiatives.

What! You got a picture of me and I didn't know it....sounds like a blackmail picture to me....

It was fun but really really hot......the cider is really good...my pumpkin was l2 lbs but Barb got to pay for two really big ones....I know one was 27 lbs...I stuck to a smaller one because I had to carry it a long ways to the place you paid for it. Next year I am taking my little red wagon!!

MOTHER!! I am still upset that you carried that pumpkin. We had lots of free man arms that could have helped you! I tried to catch up to you but you were walking like you were on a mission and with the sun beating down on me I gave up.

Barb

HI everyone,

Heidi, what would I do if you lose internet?? Don't like the sounds of it!!

Heidi was telling the truth that it takes her FOREVER to pick out the right pumpkin. She has ALWAYS been like that. Too much of her dad in her.

Barb and Sally, was it really that hot yesterday? I have never heard of Happy Apple Farm but it sounds like soooo much fun and a great photo opportunity. We want to see pics!!

Bonnie, all I can say is :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: . Your post cracked me up and gosh, I can't even say you're bad this time. It was waaaay too funny. I don't think I have been bleeped cuz I am a good girl. :rotfl: Whatever. Because I am a good girl, I have to admit I have a cheat sheet in front of me with the "other" pirates addresses and emails. Let me know if you want them and I will send it to you via email. I sent them each an email welcoming them home from their 14 day and 4 day cruises and Terry and Robin's was returned. Don't know their real address. Maybe Kent and Teresa will respond and I can ask them.

Jeanne, :grouphug: . I am so sorry to hear about your Aunt. I am sure it is very hard on all of you to watch what she is going through. Tell Joyce to hurry and put in her reservation! We can't go without her!

Denine, so how is potty training going? What a great deal on that dress for Kaleigh. I LOVE MARY JANES for little kids. Heidi's friend found JiminyC. outfits for our twins but it is only at her target which is too far away to drive for 2.98 outfits! Go digital. I always thought that digital was crazy but I love ours. You can just keep snapping away and not worry about carrying film around. I know that we took something like 180 pics on one media card.

Denine - Digital is definitely the way to go. Before my last cruise I bought a brand new 35mm film camera and loved it. I went on the cruise and used my parents digital camera the entire time and fell in love with it, so much that I ended up buying a Pentax digital camera on the ship!!!!!

Heidi! First of all, you shouldn't be on the internet at work for non work related business...I am speaking as a supervisor!!! Every now and then...maybe twice per month I will look at something not related to work but that is it. Besides, no excuse...don't you have a computer at home? If not stop over your parents house. The boss has spoken!

Sandy-I would love their email addresses...I have a couple pictures of Theresa to send. Besides, we all have to work on them about the cruise next September. About the bleeps...I didn't think there was anything wrong with what I said. Heck, kids call each other that all the time!

Mom- you sound like my mom...carrying her own stuff. 80 yrs old and she still cuts her own grass. I keep telling her to call be but she doesn't. Of course it keeps her going I guess.

Well...another meeting w/ psycho (truly) nurse. She intimated that I audited her after her little outburst in my office the other day. DUH! audits are done each month, and there are strict guidelines to be followed which aren't. Luckily my boss knows she is nuts...still trying to pawn her off on another unsuspecting manager! I really don't think we will have much luck since her reputation is well known. Maybe it will be anouther instance of "you have no choice but to take her."

Bonnie- I am pretty independent....ask my husband.....I would have let someone carry it though as it was so doggone hot....but didn't see anyone behind me and I didn't think the man on crutches could manage..... :rotfl2: only kidding, I am sure if he put his mind to it he could have done it.... :cool1: :rotfl:

I have one iris bed finished and about 1/4 of the other one.....I will end up throwing a lot of iris away as the bed was overcrowded....

Where is Susan? I wonder how she made out with the hurricane...was it near her? Hear another one is on the way and will probably hit Florida....you couldn't pay me to live there....of course I pay them to go to Disney...

It is getting late so will go to bed and try to get my usual 4-5 hr sleep... :cloud9: Good night!

My boss allows us to be on the internet, we have nothing else to do because of the hiring freeze so we are bored out of our minds. Nope, no computer at home, trying to get one from work but its the end of the fiscal year so I have to wait until October until they can purchase a modem for me.
