Hi everyone! I have FINALLY gotten some kind of order back, so I have a chance to post. We got home Mon. around 3pm. The kids went back to school yesterday and Garry went back to work today. We had a SUPER trip! The weather couldn't have been any better. We had nothing but sun and HOT the entire trip! I will try and post a trip report like Heidi did, but it won't be as good. I still can't post pictures.
Glad to see everyone posting and the thread so alive! You guys are the best! Barb is as busy as ever, Sally is Welcome back!!!, Heidi you're getting close to your DL trip, and Sandy.... you're sooo cute! Oh yeah, Stacey, way to go for your first pampered chef party!!! Jeanne, can't wait to see pictures of your princess!!!
OK, here's my attempt at a trip report....
Wednesday Oct 11th, We arrived in Orlando around 8pm-ish. After we got our luggage, went right to the rental car and off to boardwalk. We got in the room around 9:15ish. I went down to the boardwalk and got some pizza for us to eat since we were starving. We made it an early night since we had
MNSSHP the next night. We had a studio, which was nice, but since we are use to the room of the 1 bedroom with the kids, the studio seemed a tad small right now. Thursday, We got up and were out the door by 11am. We walked over to EPCOT ( we got the kids picture taken on the top of the bridge that has EPCOT in the background going over to the back entrance to world showcase. We get a picture of the kids in the same spot each trip so we can see them grow each trip). We did spaceship earth, mexico, norway and figment before heading back to the room for lunch and afternoon naps since we would be up late for the party. We all napped and then I got the kids into their costumes. Garry was Dash from the Incredibles, Makenzie was Cinderella (wedding dress) and Brooke was Snow White. I will try to get the picture out, somehow!
Went to MK and had dinner at Tony's Town Square. It was VERY LOUD in there, BUT the food was very good and filling!! So from there we hit all the rides and treat stations. We got their pictures taken in front of Cinderella's carriage. We then watched the Halloween fireworks ( good but not as good as Wishes) and then found a seat for parade. Now, here is story number one with the "Big Guy". We were sitting in our "spot" and I went to get the kids some popcorn. When I came back, Garry said to me that The Big GUy was makin' his move. I said huh? He said look.. Sitting next to him (the Big Guy) was a girl from Brazil. She was in her 20's and Garry was talking to her. He kept tapping her on the arm and just chatting about disney in general. Then she says. how old are you? He then says 14! SHe says wow and then he said no I'm five. THen he trys to impress her and uses the line..."you know I can count to 29" want to see? Garry and I just stood there laughing! Then next thing we know he has his hand on her knee/leg!!! She was very nice and said she thought he was cute. I ask her if he was bothering her and she said no, and she liked listening to him. After the parade, Garry waiting to say goodbye to her and waved at her.
A side note, the parade was good, BUT I liked then music from the last parade. This was more "cute" then halloween. The words were something like Boo to you...and you and you... it was nice but I liked the other one. They still had the headless horse ride down the street before the parade.
Well, that should take us up to Friday when we meet up with Denine and Jerry. I'll post that day on another post.
Well gotta go! I'll be back!
Oh Hedi, Pub night was fun! Do I have a story that you will get a kick out of! It puts a whole new meaning to "balls to you sir"..... But I will get to that when I post that night.
