Hi everyone! It's sure is HOT isn't it! We just had a brief BRIEF shower. They kids are going back into the pool in a few.Once I don't hear any thunder. Well, got everything but the car rental for the Oct. trip. I just booked our rooms through DVC. Didn't get where I wanted, BUT I have us on the wait list for BWV. We are at the new resort, Saratoga Springs, so that will be new for us. The we can truly say that we have stayed at all of the DVC resorts.

Jeanne, I hope everything works out for you and no strike!! Isn't getting ready for a little one fun! That was a major part of the excitement!

Barb, you are a better person then me to go camping! My idea of roughing it is "what no conceige? Queen or King?" I don't do creepy crawlly things! i give you all credit who can do that.

Heidi, when ever you have the time, just let me know. I would really like to know how do make those signs. I would like to make one for each night/day, BUT that might be too many. I had another person (who we cruised with last time) she made the signs and either mailed or emailed the signs to everyone. Have a great time in Vegas!!!!

Sandy, don't do toooo much in this heat!! You seem like you are always on the go! (sames goes for everyone on this board I think! LOL)

Denine, I tried calling you today. I'm sure you'll love the messages I left! LOL!

Sally, I wish I could get into scrapbooking. Everything I have around here, seems to get little hands into it! LOL!

Well, gonna go! I'll be back later!

Checking back in. Golly Moses is it ever hot. I thought it was suppose to cool off today with some rain showers. Yea, right.

So I went and got my legs/bikini waxed and OMG did it ever hurt!!!! My hair dresser told me that the ankles hurt worse than the bikini area, well guess what she LIED. Holy batman did it sting!!!! But it didn't hurt enough for me not to do it, I will still do it Sept 1st before the cruise!!! The nice lady was trying to talk to me and then when got me engaged in coversation, rip...rip...rip. I could hardly breath let alone talk when she was ripping the hair out. I do admit one time I wanted to tell her to stop for awhile and let me take a deep breath but she was going so fast. Now I know for sure I would never be able to do that by myself because I would stop!!!!! (Of course I am being over dramatic!!!!!!) It really was okay, it wasn't a painful hurt but it did sting.

Good Morning!

Heidi- :rotfl: That sounds soooo painful and I don't think you were over dramatic! Makes me sting just reading it!

Went to dinner with Patty, ken and my Mom & Dad last night. Did get to see Patty much but dinner was fun. Can't wait until Hawaii!!!! :boat:

I am SUPER glad it is cooler today. It is all cloudy out. Hope it rains :umbrella:

Well I am going to pay half of the balance on Tiffany's college. Blah! I would much rather be doing something else with the money like ::MickeyMo

I am so sad. Ethan is going out of state with Mike (his dad) today for a week. He has never even kept him over night and only has him for a few hours every other week or so. I can't even believe Missy is letting him take him. :worried:

Just had a sneezing fit. I can always tell when things are changing outside because I sneeze every morning about the same time.

Oh Barb, major hugs to you. I can certainly understand your concern for Ethan!! I am sure everything will work out. We didn't get the "monsoon" rain like they said and now the sun is coming out. They are talking about rain this afternoon. We'll see.....

Heidi, your post made me sick to my stomach. It sounds sooooo horrible. Over dramatic??? Nah, just remembering the pain.

Hi Sandy!

I'm here. Getting ready to leave work in 20 minutes!!!! Yipeeee!!!

Hi guys, better late than never!

I got distracted today and didn't get a chance to get on the computer. Kaleigh and I were outside enjoying the 90 plus degrees when my neighbor came over. We got to talking and the kids to playing.'

We went out to dinner tonight at a place called Claddagh. It is at our new upscale shopping center called Crocker Park. It was really good. Reminded me of Rose & Crown at Epcot food-wise. This was Jerry's promotion celebration.

Heidi: Ouch! :scared1:

Barb: I can understand your concerns about Ethan! He should be allright.

We are waiting until 60 days out to make our before cruise ressies. We have 13 points thant we can't use until then. Hopefully we can get something. We should be able to get Saratoga.

I will be on tomorrow.

Barb - I can understand your concerns with Ethan. I think it will be hard on everyone (you, Ethan, Missy and Mike) because it is different than just having him for a few hours...over night and a few days would be tough.

2 more workdays until I go to VEGAS!!!!

Good morning everyone! Nothing muchgoing on around here. It's HOT HOT HOT!!! Our heat index is suppose to be in the 100's today. Our pool (which has no heater) is at 90 degrees already at 7am this morning. Yesterday it was at 93 degrees. The kids are living in the pool!! We are suppose to get rain tomorrow and then back into the 80's this weekend.

Anna Marie is getting close to the SWEET SIXTEEN! Monday will be the big day! We aren't going to do much since we have to share the day with her mom. We were thinking about maybe going out to dinner with just Anna Marie, Garry and myself and then her mom and maybe her mom's mom. (her husband is out of town on business). Then we were thinking about going over to my mom's house to have some cake and so my mom and the kids and my dad can wish her a happy birthday, but nothing is set in stone.

It's getting close to the start of school, can you believe it? Makenzie starts on the 23rd and Garry starts on the 25th. We have to go school shopping real soon. You should see the supply list for them! (Denine will see how much stuff kids need when she starts home schooling).

This weekend is nuts. It starts with tomorrow the new chief of Police gets officially sworn in and I have to be there along with Garry. Then friday we have a parade in the city to start off our "party in the park" weekend (it's a "city" party thrown in the city park) that Garry has to work. Saturday we have Garry's friend Michael's 5th birthday party AND my nephew's 7th birthday party, sunday Garry has to work the Party in the Park and then monday is Anna Marie's 16th birthday. THEN starts the real fun! LOL! I have PTA meetings, a teacher's breakfast etc.... Where did the summer go?

Heidi, Sandy and Jeanne, I just noticed your cruise is ONLY about a month away! WOW! We will want all the details!

Barb, I feel for you! Where does he want to take Ethan? Do they have any kind of child custody agreement? I would be worried too! I would have him sign a paper as to where he is going, the phone numbers where he could be reached, and what day and time he will be returning Ethan. I would also give HIM a paper with all the numbers where you can be reached at anytime. I know he probably has that info, but you can always say, I'm just being that overly cautious person since he has never been away from home and you don't know how Ethan will react etc. I would also make out a sheet of Ethan's normal daily routine since he hasn't ever spent the entire day/night with him lately. Any change in a child's routine can screw them up (I know yeah like you didn't know that, what mother doesn't!LOL!) Can you tell I'm married to a police officer? Always thinking of what COULD happen, knowing that it probably won't.

Hi Sally!

Well gonna go! I'll be back later!

Good morning

Well my little punkin is with mike. I am very concerned and miss him so much already. Missy does not seem to be worried in the least. She thinks mike is a good Dad. I would have to disagree. Missy left last night to spend the week with one of her friends in Iowa. We are getting Tiffany ready this week to go to Oklahoma next week so things are busy. It will help me keep my mind off of Ethan.

Julie-I'm with you on all the steps to take, Missy however is not anything like me. She doesn't plan and organize anything. :sad2:

I am so excited...Richard has next week off and my cousin is going to watch Joey and Tyler so we can finally go see Pirates!!! Woohoo!! :cool1:

I don't know if anyone goes through the home page of the disboards but there is a ton of new stuff to check out...they even have the pirates ride on video that you get to watch. Makes me want to go!!1 :sad2: Someday though!!!

Jerry booked the limo for our ride to and from the port! :cool1: Julie, I e-maile you the details.

It is currently between 92 and 95 outside. :beach:

Kaleigh and I went to Target this morning to buy glue and construction paper and a cheap calculater. She wants to play with ours, so I am letting her have it. It is a solar one and doesn't work well in the winter since we have no sun! On our way there, we stopped at a store called Play Matters. We hadn't been before, but I wanted to see if they had any easels :artist: Man, is that place neat. They have a ton of cool science projects for when Kaleigh gets a bit older. Lots of neat stuff for a homeschooler! :teacher: While I was there, I signed her up for a craft clasee next week. They are going to do a project with play foam which is like floam. They get to keep the foam. Of course, it costs $10, but she will have a blast. My parents are going to give me the money to buy the easel :artist: for Kaleigh for CHristmas. I also signed up for the newsletter and catalog. I could spend a TON of money in this place!

Found out yesterday that one of the twin boys that lives next door has a form of autism. They are 2 weeks older than Kaleigh. Dianne said it is like living with an 18 month old all the time. They have tutors 25 hours a week to teach him. $$$

Stacey: Enjoy your night out!

Heidi: ALmost Vegas time!

Barb: Ethan will be OK. He knows where you are if there are any problems.

Went up to the library and got Kaleigh another earned book and her ticket to the magic show. She is less than 3 hours of reading from the drawing for the Toys R Us gift card. I told the librarian we were going t try to finish by Saturday. She said we can turn in the paper on Monday. Since we have until Monday, she will definitely be entered into the drawing. I told her how proud I was of her for sitting and reading. She never used to want me to read. NOw we read about 45 minutes every day.

Julie: Lucky for me, all the school supplies I need comes in the box of school stuff, including crayons. I think Calvert is the only one that does that though.

Need to cut the grass tonight. It is too long to let it go until it is a little cooler. We have alread waited. We usually do it on Sunday.

No weight loss again this week! :furious:

I bought Kaleigh a dvd of the Peanuts talking about American history. The man we met in the park with his grandaughter told us about it. I am going to give it to Kaleigh for her birthday along with a Disney Barbie and a magazine called My Big Backyard. I would love to get her a Lori Berkner CD, but they cost as much as adult CD's.

Am I forgetting anything?

Well Patti is home safe and sound.....she must be swamped at work because I sent her an email and they sent it back and said her email box is full....I can't imagine what it is going to be like for her after being gone for l5 days on the cruise.

I went out this morning and got a couple things added to my machine and straightened the house and that is it. It is only 76 so far today which is nice.

Everyone is so busy.....and I agree with you Julie, where is the summer going. I still have work to do outside...I did see that some of the grass seed I planted is coming up...we are still getting rain thank goodness. I love fall but not ready for it yet...

Julie, it has finally cooled a little here. Denver has been getting rain all over and tons of it but not us. The storms are just going over us and hitting the other suburbs Can I use your pool, too?

Barb, glad that you have things to do to keep your mind off of Ethan. I know you are concerned but I am sure Mike will be good.

Sally, poor Patty. I would hate to go back to work with a full email box!

Denine, you are definitely getting ready for home schooling. I like the way you are also getting her involved with other children. I think that is so important for home schooled children. Autism, how horribly sad for your neighbor.

I just got the coolest design for magnets for our trip. I would love to have a tshirt out of it as well! I can't share it here. I don't want Jeanne to see it. I will share it after the trip and if you guys like it and it is appropriate you can have the design as well.

Stacey, I am jealous. I want to see Pirates before we leave. Now I don't know if we can. We just bought paint for Lou's house. YUCK!!!!!!

Hey Sandy, you can come use our pool anytime! Today the pool water temp was 98 DEGREES!!!!!!!!!!! It didn't seem like a pool, more like a bath! We are suppose to get the storms tomorrow and then it cools to the 80's!

Gotta go get dinner ready!

Sally, Don't forget to watch "So YOu THink You Can Dance tonight!!!"

Boy Julie, how do you decide who is to go......I don't think the judges are very nice to Ivan and he is good....I just found out that the kids are going to be in Denver and do a show.....we are going to get tickets to go and see them...won't that be fun :cool1:

Sally/Julie - I actually didn't like Ivan's performance last night. But I am now starting to like Heidi. Benji did good like usual.

I have been trying to be really good at eating healthy, but last night a Sonic commercial came on and Chris asked me if I wanted to go get a Brownie Blast....I didn't hesitate long, those are really good.

Mom - you HAVE to see Pirates 2 before we go, that way you know what the flying dutchman is about and it will mean more. I will give you tickets to go see it, which do you prefer AMC or United?

Well, we got the grass cut last night. Man, we were both feeling like jelly afterwards. It was deceiving. There was a very nice breeze, so you didn't really swaet, but still almost overheated. Good thing we got the grass cut since it is now pouring rain off and on. Jerry cuts the front and side yards and I cut the backyard. We both get exercise that way.

Julie: I was wrong about the time. We are getting picked up at the Dolphin at 8:30 AM and then getting picked up at the port at 9 AM.

I ordered the curtains for Kaleigh's school room today. Now to get it painted. Jerry also needs to change the oil in both cars and put on new brakes for the front of my car. Not much to do around here either!

Sandy: Yep, getting ready for school. I am going to make a paper chain when it gets closer and Kaleigh can remove a link everyday until the first day of school. That was my friends idea.

Heidi: So how was that brownie thing?

We are having crab cakes for dinner tonight. I hope they turn out. I have never made them before.
