October 15th, 2011

Ok - so My husband and I just booked this cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary. We did the Wonder in '08 and loved it.

Today - it's raining and now snowing in Ohio - I need this to look forward to! LOL

Welcome to everyone cruising with us - can't wait to meet some of you!!:cool1::banana::woohoo:

Hi and welcome:banana: hope you get your ticker sorted.:cool1:28 weeks to go:banana:

We will be over for 3 weeks from Scotland can't wait. We are giving WDW a miss this year :sad2:but will pop over to DTD & Universal then we are on the magic on the 8th B2B.

That's sorta funny, we're doing DC, Aquatica, probably Sea World and the Disney water parks the week before Jillian and I get on the cruise, then we'll be boarding on the 15th. I'm already ready for it, and I've got a couple of other trips before I even get there!

Me and my fiancee are staying 5 days at BWV/OKW before the cruise. And we are so excited!!! We were just at WDW this January and I told him we have to come back for F&W this October so we don't waste our Premier passports. :rotfl: Anything just to come back! :cool1:

I can't wait to meet all of you!

Hi & welcome. We stayed at the BWV last year it's a lovely location and we were lucky enough to be able to use the BCR pool as the chute at BWV was broken the girls were delighted.

I rented points from a DVC member so we could afford to stay at BWV! I like that it's walking distance from EPCOT, which is DF's fave park! :thumbsup2

We've grown to LOVE the Beach Club, which is just across the bay from the Boardwalk, you can walk to Epcot, and Hollywood Studios, they're both really close, that's the part we love the best too! We're not staying on the park before the cruise because we're doing a somewhat "non-Disney" week ahead of time, going to snorkel with Manatees, do Discovery Cove so we get to swim with Dolphins, do Aquatica for the waterslides, and Harry Potter world. We will either do one of the Disney waterparks, or me and my son will do one of the parks while Daddy and daughter do Typhoon Lagoon if the boy's not quite tall enough with no shoes on!

You'll love BWV!

We wanted to do WWOHP again when we come back. But we're not renting a car, so no way to get there. :confused3 Last time we were in Orlando we stayed at Best Western Lake Buena Vista. We got a hotel/airfare package from AAA for 4 nights (780 dollars). So we had some money to rent a car. But since we're staying at BWV/OKW, we decided to forego the car rental.

But who knows, maybe I could get some overtime at work to add more nights and be able to do WWOHP! :woohoo:

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you then! (Unless you don't want overtime, then, I hope you don't get it :lmao:)

LOL :rotfl2: Most of the time, I don't. But I guess this trip is worth the OT.

We're going to have a blast! I want to do some of the things that I've never done on the cruise, like order room service for lunch on a sea day (believe it or not, I've been on the Magic 3 times, and I've NEVER ordered room service!) and do the Rainforest room. I've done that once, for about 20 minutes before they closed on my very first cruise.

I also want to do towel animal folding, and the Art of Animation, and lots of stuff!

I cannot wait to order room service, too. And to have lots of Mickey bars! I have never had one even if i go to Disneyland every week. I told my fiance' I'm waiting to get to the ship to have my first Mickey bar! :woohoo:

What other activities will they have?

You can find Navigators (the daily schedule) from previous cruises up in the stickey's I believe, but they'll have lots of things to do. From movies on the ship, any Disney movies, if there is a Disney movie premiering in theaters the week we're on the ship, they'll show it in the Walt Disney Theater at midnight, a PremEar :lovestruc, to comedians, and nightclub activities. We usually go to the evening show, and then the kids go to the club and we hit the "cabaret" adults only act in Rockin-Bar-D. They have liquor tastings, and cooking demonstrations. If you're a shopper, they have talks about the shopping available in the port where you're getting off the ship next, bingo, art auctions (never been to one) and all sorts of fun stuff to do.

Since me and Jillian are going solo on this trip, and we don't tend to "run-run-run" as much as my husband, I figure I'll have more time to hang out and enjoy the ship... :cloud9:

Then, this will be quite a relaxing trip for you!

We're looking forward to the activities! Is it October yet?! :goodvibes

I wish! I've got to get through my job search, and the summer before we get to go (yes, my husband thinks I'm totally strange by planning this so much, especially since we just going to relax a lot more than usual!) so I'm sure the time is going to fly by!

I am a newby to DIS and to the Disney Cruises. We are going this October on the 15th on the Western Cruise. So looking forward to it, but overwhelming too. Has anyone heard of the "fish panels"? You hang them outside your cabin door and it has pockets that different friends you meet before and during the cruise put little items in them. Do tell...need more information, but sounds like fun. It will be four of us Husband and two kids, girl, 9 and boy 16. Both of their birthdays will be on the cruise. Looking forward to meeting you all.:yay:

Welcome aboard!!! We did the Fish Extender exchange on our Med cruise last September for the first time, it was a blast, although admittedly, our was pretty small, only 15 cabins (plus a couple of kids that we included at the last minute).

We don't have a fish exchange going on yet, but we can always start one. :yay:

You'll love the Disney Cruise, this will be the 5th cruise for me and my daughter, she's 10, so your DD will probably see her in the lab, and it's actually our 3 western cruise. All but 1 of our Disney cruises has been on the Magic, so it feels a lot like home to me now, I'm really glad to be going on it again.

Just shout if you have any questions, I'll do my very best to answer them, or one of the others will probably know, we're going to have a great time!
