October 13th, 2007~"Cruise-A-Palooza"

Hey all! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Ours was busy. What else is new. We made the mistake yesterday to go through what our week had in store for us this week and we were both exhausted when we were done. This week is CRAZY! :scared: The positive thing is that the week will fly by. That's always good. :) I hope everyone else has a fast week as well.

Hey Kevin. I was thinking a little about our DIStag game and I was in the Yahoo Group checking it out some more last night. I realized that we have 40 people signed up as members but only 25 of those people filled out the database. I'm sure it was done on purpose (which is fine). However, just to be on the safe side and not to rule anyone out, how easy would it be to send a bulk e-mail out to all members of our Yahoo Group about the DIStag? Just to make sure they get the info and have one last opportunity to join. Alot of the names on the group list are names I don't recognize and I was thinking they might be people who got into the group list and then got very busy and haven't had the opportunity to checking to either the group or this board in awhile. I'd feel bad if they didn't have the opportunity to play.

Anyway, as you can see, I was thinking alot last night. Gotta stop doing that. Makes for a rough night of sleep. Too many things going on in the brain. Ugh. My brain may explode. And, truthfully, I don't wanna have to clean it up. :lmao:

Well, that's all for now folks. Gonna start getting myself ready for work. Have a great day all! Kristi

Thats a very good idea.

Thanks bevtoy! :) I'm just full of great ideas at 6:30am in the morning. LOL! :lmao: Actually, truth be known, for some reason last night the head just wouldn't turn off so I thought of many things throughout the night. That was just one of them. :)

Hey question for everyone/anyone. Regarding Pirate night. Do you dress up for dinner in your pirate costumes or just afterwards? Thanks! Kristi

Dress up for dinner....pirate: pirate: pirate: All the servers are dressed in pirate attire, they do give you a piraty type bandana (sp?) to wear if you do not dress. Plus, if you wear your pirate costume, you can have your picture taken with CAPT'N JACK...he should be in the attrium before and after your dinner, it is much easier to be dressed than having to go change.:hourglass

Has anyone mentioned bubba mugs? For the ones that do not know what I'm talking about, here's a quick tip....

DCL gives away free soda's, milk, coffee etc...but, this can only be found at the drink station located on deck 9:confused3  They only have one size cup, 10oz. or 12 oz., I can't remember which. So, unless you like walking to the drink station, I suggest you get a BUBBA MUG. This great invention can be found at most WAL-MARTS, TARGETS, HOME DEPOT etc. We purchased 2 big ones (32oz.) and 1 small one (16oz.). They are well insulated and will keep a drink with ice cold for several hours, thus elimatinating (sp?) extra trips to the drink station. These MUGS will hold hot or cold drinks, for some, like my wife, she needs about 8 cups of coffee in the morning, so I get up and fill up her mug and she is good to go until about 9, then we wash it out and filler up for the rest of the day....

Plus, if anyone is like me, I bring my own adult beverages from home...(DON'T TELL DCL) I can make one big drink in the morning and nurse on it all day:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I can post a picture, if someone can tell me how:sad2: :guilty:

Thanks kborn for the info. Glad to know to dress up for dinner. :)

Can I tell everyone that I'm soooo getting excited! Only 34 more days! :)

I hope this works....

Long time no post! My computer is acting up and won't let me post for some reason so I finally today thought to try my husbands computer and it worked! No idea what's up with mine but anyway... I came on to see if anyone had posted that we are 1 month away and then realized that the cruise is on the 13th :rotfl: But we are leaving for WDW and POR 1 month from today on Oct 10th :cool1: I am so excited --Today I finally got around to booking the car rental, and I also bought tickets to MNSSHP on the 11th :woohoo: The kids still have no idea about any of this, and it is getting harder and harder to keep it a secret. We were at my niece's b-day party this weekend and they were telling us how they are going to WDW next month (actually they same week we are  ) and it was so hard not to say anything:)

Picture with Cap'n Jack? There's a reason to dress up right there:thumbsup2 When we went in 2005, we all dressed up in pirate costumes, in fact DH had the Captain Jack costume from the Disney store, and I swear we were like 1 of maybe 3-4 other families in our restaurant that night. Very poor turnout-- DH was so mad at me for making him dress up -- don't think I can get him to do it again.

Tell DH not to be a party pooper, HE'S ON VACATION, plus he needs to "do it for the kids"!:rotfl2: :thumbsup2 pirate: Plus, if he does not dress for dinner, everyone on this board is going to talk about him!:rolleyes1  :rolleyes1

Hey Jen, We are also arriving at POR but on the 9th and going to MNNSHP on the 11th, maybe we will see you earlier than the cruise.

I also made car rental arrangements for after the cruise so we are going to cocoa beach or downtown disney for a while because our flight doesn't leave until around 5pm.

This is a reminder that tonight is the finale of Fat March. This is the last time you get to see ME on TV(well maybe, I hope not). More drama and the final weigh-in. Boston to Washington D.C. 575 miles(but I walked about 45 more than that) and I felt every step. Thank you for all your support.

March On

Hey, everyone! It's getting close now! :cool1: We finally got a room for the 12th at Buena Vista Palace, right across the street from DTD. Never been there, but it looks great!

Can someone post the official logo. I'd like to put it on a door magnet! ;)

Anyone doing shirts with the logo?

See ya on board...:hourglass
