Thanks Jen......... I want to hear and see pictures of this wedding too! Thats a great photo!

I agree with Jenn & Bev. Your wedding picture is absolutely beautiful and what a fun and wonderful (or should I say MAGICal) :) way to celebrate a wedding.

Anyway, welcome! :sunny:

Bev, I like your picture too. :teeth:

Hey, does any of you know if it's possible to get any souvenir type stuff that is DCL related. Like lanyards for example... Any ideas??

Thank you all for your great comments!

We are looking at this cruise as our 1st anniversary trip as we will be staying 1 week prior to sailing @ DVC as well as 1 week after. The planners in us started the day we got home and now I'm just waiting for November to roll around to call member services. :thumbsup2

For all of you that want to see more pictues (there are over 400), here is a link to a select few. Althought I'm in it, she makes up for it ;) http://s96.photobucket.com/albums/l189/chadandlisamarie/

Jen,

Do you mean stuff on the ship? I know I have more 'free' lanyards around here than enough. We got some for sailing before (1 each), some more for DVC party (1 each) and 2 more for something else. So you may get some freebies if you fall in these categories.

Also, I seen plenty in the gift shops on board.

Hope this helps!

CJM

U2FAN.., Tbaks for the "lanyard" input. I do know that being a Castaway member we get 2 free lanyards per stateroom, so I know that;s an option. I just wish their was a way to get Disney Cuise lanyards online or something. I wanted to get 4, w for my kids & 2 for my niece who's coming as stocking stuffers this Christmas. Someone from the main forum did offer to get some for me in November when they cruise. I thought that was so sweet. :)

Anyway, thanks again. Oh, and My daughter and I looked at some of you wedding picures. She thought your wife looked pretty.

Hello to all. Hope each are enjoying a wonderful weekend!!

WOW!!!! So much to catch up on...
looks like we have someone new joining us...with an outstanding photo to post. Getting married on DCL must have been an unforgetable event...have taken a peek at your photos...OUTSTANDING...what an incredable memory - getting married onboard the MAGIC. Thank you for sharing.

Prom photos...COOL!!! You guys also look great!!! Again, thanks for sharing.

Jen...you will prob find some lanyards on eBay...this is where I've purchased some...'I wish I'd have bought that when we were on the ship'...items.

Nan and I are still 'catching up' from our trip - being away from the girls, home, work and church...I need a vacation from our vacation. We had an wonderful time cruising in Canada with Celebrity (I know...that's a bad word on these boards - flame away). Our weather was OUTSTANDING!!! We packed for rain...and just got a drop or two from the airport to our hotel. We fell in love with Vancouver and plan on returning...soon. All in all...a great time...but, kept comparing Celebrity with Disney. As great as Celebrity was…Disney wins ‘hands down’. I sure hope Disney plans a Pacific North West cruise in 2010.

Nan and I on the upper deck of Celebrity Mercury...during sail away from Seattle.

REMINDER...we are just over a year away...I can't wait.

Kevin, I'm glad you and Nancy had such a wonderful time. You answered my question already. I was going to ask how it compared with Disney? :) I just know that I would do the same. That's why Mark and I when we went by ourselves last October chose Disney, because we had such a wonderful time on our first cruise with the kids. BUT, that being said...If I(we) were offered a cruise where someone else was paying. Well, then I would be there in a heart beat. :teeth:

UH-OH, bottom of the 3rd page! :scared1: :teeth:

Just think, we are almost to the 1 year mark. I can't wait till we get to the single digits. Better yet, how about a couple weeks away. :)

Well, I bought my 4 pillow cases to bring to GS to be signed. I saw some really cute pillow cases on another thread regarding Tinkerbell's siggy. My niece and daughter love Tink. I wish I could sew or I was really crafty. I would make their pillow cases. Oh well, we'll just stick with plain white. :)

I bought our pirate patches & earings the other day too, and I cleaned out the beach bags and put them along w/ our little cooler bags and the kids autograph books in a suitcase. Also, I ended up buying the kids lanyards off of ebay.

I tend to go in spurts. I will do some stuff for a couple months and then I get busy with other stuff and ignore the cruise for a bit.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing great!
Have a good rest of the week... :sunny:

Hi,

Just dropping by to see what's going on with everyone and to say hello.

I'm off from work today, we have our first cheerleading competition tonight, so I'm getting ready for that. Things have been extremely hectic...coaching, classes, work and I moved. But things are slowly getting back to a manageable routine.

I wish I could get a Disney fix soon, but probably won't be able to get away for a little while. I just hope I don't have to wait until the cruise..

Well, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the fall. Halloween is right around the corner...still trying to come up with a great costume idea.

Take care!

Hmmmm, it's October 13th, 2006. Now what, I ask myself, will I be doing at this very moment exactly 1 year from now? :confused3

Let's see here...

1.) Be in Florida
2.) Eating a delicious buffet meal at a restaurant called "Parrot cay"
3.) standing in line at GS to give them our pillow cases, and perhaphs have the kids card's d-activated for "shopping." :)
4.) waiting w/ anticipation on deck 5 (or maybe deck 8, if we are one of the lucky ones "upgraded") :tink: pixiedust:
5.) un-packing and getting settled (I like to do that right away)
6.) placing our door magnets on our door(s)
7.) swimming and sunbathing :sunny:
8.) "maybe" meeting up with some of my fellow DISers or perhaphs just a little mouse ::MickeyMo
9.) exploring a MAGICal place
10.) Hmmmm, perhaphs I'll be on a Disney Cruise! ;)

Have a great weekend everyone and for those of you who live in the north. Try and stay warm. :)

We may have found another family to go this week. Keeping our fingers crossed they'll join us.

After a long consideration the family decided not to go (because of the cost) :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: But we did find a friend of my DS to tag along with us :dance3: He is a great kid and very excited to have the opportunity to go. Less than one year to go :yay: :yay: :yay:

MinnesotaMouseketeer, sorry to hear that. :sad2:

We had the same thing. My best friend and her family were coming too. They even booked it, but then cancelled it do to the fact of the cost. I(we) were very disappointed, but then what do you do? Anyway, my niece is coming w/ us too so that will be fun. :sunny:

***This thread is being interrupted purely for the sake of nostalgia***

Hi Jen and Kevin! :wave2:

I just wanted to drop in and say howdy! Remember what we were doing this time last year? I hope you're having fun planning your cruise for next year - drop in on the October 20th 2007 thread some time... Jo and Nancy and their husbands are booked on that cruise along with Jason and me.

Hope this random posting finds you and your families well and happy!

Brenda

PS. Go Cards!! :cheer2:

***We now return you to your regularly scheduled cruise thread, already in progress***

B-R-E-N-D-A!!!! Ahhh...great to hear from you. For those that may not know...Brenda (oybolshoi)...Jenmack, I and others sailed last year on the Magic. It appears she and others from our group are sailing the week after WE 'experience the Magic'. If you enjoy 'well written' trip reports...you will love her writing style with humor and great information. Check out the links in her signature...get ready for some silent chuckles and laugh out loud descriptions.

BRENDA, THANKS FOR POPPING IN...

I can't believe it...in less than a year...we will be meeting at Port and all around the this WONDERFUL ship. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Has anyone made any plans for ST Thomas, ST Maartin or Castaway Cay - yet?

Wishing all a great week...K

Hi Brenda! I miss you!!! How are you and Jason? How's HP? :cat: I echo Kevin...Thanks for stoppin' by and yes, everyone should check out Brenda's trip report. She's an awesome writer and her report is very entertaining, never mind the fact that I was there some of the time. We were dinner mates on our last cruise. That's great that Jo and Nancy are booked on the same cruise as you. I'll have to go check out your thread.
You know Brenda, I don't do baseball, but when the news here was making such a big deal about the Twins (for about a day and a 1/2) :teeth: I thought about you and the Cards. So, for old time sake...GO Cards!!! :cheer2: Or is the season over now. :confused3 See, as you know I know nothing about baseball so I could have just made a complete "fool" out of myself. :goodvibes

Kevin, in answer to your question about St thomas, St Martin & Castway Cay plans...

I'm pretty sure on Castaway Cay we are going to do the stingray adventure and then spend the rest of the time on the family beach.

St Thomas, I'm all about snorkeling.

St Martin, we are going to Orient Beach, but I think this time we are going on our own instead of thru Disney Cruise. Alot more economical I think. But, we are still debating on wether we will stop in Marigot. We didn't last time and I think it was you who said that it isn't really worth it.

Well, take care everyone! :sunny:

I feel like I haven't checked in in ages! Well... I guess it has been ages!

I didn't even realize it was less than a year now (my bad!) till I saw Jen's post about what we'll be doing a year from now. WOW! Less than a year! That sounds great :)

We've had some really big changes here - we're moving from Mass to North Carolina! Bought a house this week - and close next month. We've been talking about it for a few years, and in these past few months decided now's the time to do it. So I won't have the long drive from Mass to get to our cruise (DH doesn't fly) - now we'll have an overnight train ride, lol! I'm glad I waited to get our passports. For once procrastination paid off. We're not actually moving till after Christmas - I'm getting transferred at work and we have to wait till the time is right. But with any luck I won't have to spend the WHOLE winter up here in Mass :D
