And again, I'm sure it's a pain but thanks for updating those of us that are non-FBers :)

No not another list. Some ppl are wanting to have fe lists limited to a certain size but i told them to come here and discuss it!

So the crazy thing is that in just a week, we have more than double the people on the FB group for this cruise than we do for our October cruise THIS year! We have more people on our FE exchange than we do for our cruise THIS year! I love it that this group seems to be a bunch of hard core DCL cruisers and a lot of people have previously sailed together before and are choosing such a fantastic itinerary by choice or chance! The FB group is outrageously chatty (but in a good way)! We are all gonna have such a great time or really be sick of each other by time the cruise comes along:rotfl:, someone said earlier and I agree!!! I hope that it's the first! It seems like such an awesome bunch of people to be cruising with and it seems like everyone is such a DCL fanatic (me included in the fanatic and hardcore category!)

The excitement seems to be contagious!

Hi!

We just booked this cruise and we are so excited as we will be celebrating DD 6th birthday during the cruise. I decided to check if there was a cruise meet yet and to my surprise it's already on it's 14th page  Looking forward to chatting with all of you for the next 21 months :cool1: This is DD second Disney cruise and our third, can't wait!!

We're booked! We just got off the Dream on the 14th and I debated going to the future cruise desk - I guess I should have.

Wow this is a busy group! I guess we are all very excited for this cruise. Hopefully it will make the time pass more quickly! DH and I are very excited but are feeling a little sad the kids can't go with us. DD can't miss college and DS would not like to miss that many classes in HS. We haven't told them about the cruise yet!!:)

We are excited that we do have another Disney cruise before this one. We are going to Alaska this June. Our day to makes excursions in Feb 25th so we will be staying up late on Sun to make these!!

For whoever is in charge of the FB group I requested to join. ( Kim Money-Goyda) Thanks!

We were thinking since this group is already so active and we have over a year before sailing if we could limit FE groups to 20 families and have more then one group it would make life easier and also save on luggage space.

A little early to discuss splitting groups, no? We typically give to all cabins & have never had a group split. We have had cruises with 10 cabins & ones close to 40. I dunno. I personally would rather see how the list progresses before giving my opinion on splitting the list.

We have 598 days to go lol!!!

Hello,
My DW and I are on this cruise as well, actually booked on 2/14, and am just now getting around to the meet thread. This is currently scheduled for our 10th Disney cruise, although we may sneak in another short one between now and then. This is our 2nd Southern Caribbean out of San Juan, first was in 2007 on SilverSea. That one had 6 ports, and no sea days, so we are not complaining about only getting 1 1/2 sea days on this one. We might join FE but will wait to see how out of control it gets with the number of cabins. Please consider splitting the group if it gets beyond 20-25 cabins. Looking forward to getting my daily fix for the SC on this thread.

Hi. I agree about splitting the fish extender group. I think 20 is usually about right.

I've never done S. Carib. Tell me what you like about it. :goodvibes

I just put in a request to join the FB group. My avatar is a cruise ship docked in Dominica, (from our first SC cruise). Please add me when you can.
Thanks,
Chris DeFouw

What we liked about it was...

The islands are all close together, so it is just a slow cruise in the evenings then waking up to another gorgeous paradise every morning.

All of the ports we went to last time that are also on this one, (St. Lucia, Barbados, St Kitts) we docked at, so no tendering, and we were the only ship in port, (we went in early April last time). So it was like we had the island to ourselves, there weren't 10,000 other cruise ship passengers all vying for the same things. It might not be that way this time, we will just have to wait and see.

The excursions we did were really good as well, scenic train at St. Kitts, Aerial Tram and Zip lining at St Lucia.

St. Lucia was really the highlight for us, this island is beyond beautiful. We cannot wait to be back there, if only for a day.

Barbados wasn't all that great, but we didn't plan an excursion that day, we just planned on shopping, and they don't have a very good setup for shopping cruise passengers, not much in the terminal or close by. We will likely plan a tour or something else for that day this time, or we may just stay on ship and treat it like a sea day.

We have not been to Antigua or Grenada and from my early investigation, these look gorgeous as well.

Greetings fellow travelers. At the urging of DinsdelsPa, I just emailed our travel agent to book this cruise. Booking will be a little tricky because we are in the process of adopting a little girl from China and we don't have any info like birthday for booking. We hope to travel to China by next summer to bring her home.
Our group will also include myself, hubby, Matt, and dd, Serenity, who will be 11 by then and in 6th grade. :scared: Wow that sounded scary.
It will be our 3rd Disney Cruise and we have yet to set foot on Castaway Cay. We sailed out of NYC to Canada last June and thru the Panama Canal in Dec.
We are totally hooked!
I look forward to getting to know you all.:surfweb:

Welcome. And believe me I understand scary when projecting kids ages for a cruise this long off. My 8th grade DD will be 16 and in 10th grade when we cruise this time. :rolleyes2

I am definitely dreaming of this cruise today. We are currently getting snow, sleet and freezing rain. The whole state of Missouri is now under a state of emergency. I just hope we don't lose our power !! Of course DH is out of town!!
DD is about 1 1/2 hours northwest and they are having thunder snow. She still has class too?!!! She is not sure how her professors are going to get there since they have not plowed at all. At least she can walk.

The cruise can't come soon enough!!:beach:

Lol, in one week we are already on page 22. My meet thread for our Sept 21st cruise is only on page 19!

Hi, we booked the cruise last week. I can't believe how many posts there are!
I'm looking forward to this cruise with the new ports!!!! Its such a long way off though. We don't usually book so far in advance!
In terms of FE, I love doing them. I'm in favor of limiting the number of cabins to 20-25. Given that there is only one sea day, (not much xtra time for delivery) and even 25 cabins can be a lot to pack. On past cruises, we have split the large FE groups into 20 or 25 cabins max. I wonder if we can ship a box to the port, that's what we usually do for the FE gifts.
We lived in south Florida for a couple of years, so I know hot weather! ... still I'm concerned about the heat in October- those of you that have been to the southern Caribbean, how hot will it be then? I've always sailed in Dec or Jan....Thanks!
Kiki

:wave2: Well hello there! Sure hope it works out that your growing family will make this trip! Patricia has informed us that as a sophomore in HS (at cruise time) that she would skip it then spend her days making up work. Proud of her for making such a mature decision and will reward her with it someday. :goodvibes

Also requested you to be added to the FB group page.
