October 11, 2014 7-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise on Disney Magic (San Juan)

I managed to snag the last navigators verandah on deck 7, which I like. This will be our first cruise without the kids. Yeah!

I switched from secret porthole on 5 to unobstructed porthole on 2 (we love 2!!!!) and saved $250!!!

i reserved this cruise today.

It is so different than anything i have seen dcl do snce i have been sailing.

I think i am already gold, but didnt know about this cruise til late last night. But i feel i got a good and fair deal for a verandah room.

We booked 6116, or is it 6616....i will have to recheck and change my post when i find it.

This will be my 6th cruise and my dh & dd 5th cruise on dcl.

This will be a celebration of my dd getting ready to turn 18. She will be binging her bestie, along for the vaca as well.

Love that we are already 6 pages into our thread.

So it's official! I paid my deposit!!! With a little arm twisting from luvmygrljb (just kidding), we're in. It will be me, DH, DS 16, DD 14 we will be in 8090!

Weird thing is that this will be our 5th cruise out of 4 different ports!

We booked ours on Valentine's night, we are in 7130. Can't wait - these are ports we've never been to.

Apparently I am one of the suckers with a SPH room. Actually two of them. I just told my TA to get me connecting Cat 10 rooms and that's what I got. I will have to see if the regular porthole rooms are cheaper. The big thing for us is the connecting rooms since we are a family of 5. At this point, I think it will to hard for us to get connecting.

We would love to be on this cruise, we have a courtesy hold, but still waiting to see if we can transfer our existing DCL reservations to this cruise. Hopefully it will all be sorted out on Monday. All of the ports will be new to us.

My husband is nervous about the port being in San Juan. I will have to do a bunch of research on flights and hotels and the port.

When I looked at this cruise itinerary on the website, it appeared as if the ship will leave San Juan at 7:00 pm. Do you think this is true or will they move it up to the normal 4:00/5:00 time? 7:00 PM sure would make it easier to fly in that day and not have to worry about finding a "good" hotel.

Oh my goodness why do you have to wait til Monday? Also when I looked there are tons of portholes next to each other available. Is adjacent ok or is connecting mandatory??

We booked on Valentine's Day as well and are in a Cat 5A .... I also think my parents may be joining us for this cruise. Mom liked the itinerary when I told her about it so she has a Cat 9A on hold for now.
Can't wait to get to know all of you!!

We are sailing on the Fantasy in August of this year and it will be interesting to see if there is any availability left for this cruise and what the prices will be by then. It would be nice to get a 10% discount and an OBC!!

Funny this will be our fourth cruise out of four different ports, but classic cruises always seem to leave on the 11th of the given month.
