Hi all,

Had a nutty day running around getting teacher gift cards etc.. I had to meet DH at lunch time for him to get a new Tux. he needs one for a work event in Jan. out in California...So now he can wear it on the cruise...

Tomorrow we are finally going to cut down our Christmas Tree...

Hope everyone had a GREAT day... It snowed here tonight...UGH!!!! They are saying ice on Monday and Tuesday...I hate N.E. weather..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The snow didn't last very long! It changed to rain by that afternoon. Right now it is 40 and going to be in the 60's tomorrow, 50's for the rest of the week. Going to change out my summer tires for my winter tires tomorrow night. Then, it won't snow again! LOL

Started back to work part time this week, full time next week. Love having a newborn to snuggle with!

Not much else to report from us! Might go to the movies with a friend later. We can't decide what to see though! Fred Claus? Enchanted? Golden Compass? Maybe we'll let the kids pick!

We have seen Enchanted (Very good) and there is a good chance that we are are going to see Fred Claus, but ZERO chance we will see Golden Compass. Our vote is for the first two. Either way, have funnn.

We have seen Enchanted and The Golden Compass. Enchanted was fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My ds passed on that one. The Golden Compass was also very good, my dd passed on that one. There is some violence and some complex storyline in that one, I forget the ages of your kids, you might want to keep that in mind.

I haven't been around in a while. I got a new job and my orientation consists of me working 5 days a week. I have no time to Dis because I'm exhausted.

Only about 3 more weeks and I'll be back to 2 days a week. Hope everyone has been well.

We ended up seeing Mr Magoriums Wonder Emporium. What a CUTE movie! I really enjoyed it! We didn't see Enchanted b/c her daughter saw it last week. Golden Compass was a runner, but I bought the books for Colton and would rather he read the story first. I know there is a LOT of controversy over the book series, but the friend I went to the movie with has read all 3 books. She said that she didn't see anything controversal until the final book, and then she said if she didn't know what she was looking for, she probably wouldn't have seen it at all. I really don't think the kids would see it! I plan on reading all 3 books myself...once Colton unwraps them!
In the end, we let the kids pick and Mr. M won out! Colton was for Golden Compass, but we had kids aged 5, 10, 10 and 12, so he lost! LOL

I think it's time for a cup of tea, a blanket and some TV!

Hi All, Not a lot of activity this weekend, everyone must be busy with the Holidays. I think this is the first time I have been on the computer this weekend. We saw Bon Jovi this weekend, it was pretty awesome. My mom babysat so it was nice. It certainly has been busy this weekend. I'm getting a cold now though which stinks.

After having a snow day on Wednesday, it is 65 degrees right now! There is rain moving in, maybe even thunderstorms. Suppose to be dreary all week, but not cold, staying in the 50's!

Just grilled hamburgers outside! Cooked them a little early so that a) I could see them since I don't have a grill light and b) I could beat the rain, which I just barely did as it started to sprinkle!

Need to make my lists of "have bought" and "need to buy." Steve gets paid again on Thursday, then we'll finish over the weekend. I still haven't started wrapping anything either! Need to make my list of what baking goods I need. I usually always make the same cookies....spritz, peanut butter blossoms and Buckeyes..aka chocolate covered peanut butter balls. Sometimes I'll make Snickerdoodles too. My Mom used to make TONS of cookies in so many different flavors, but I don't go that far.

Well, I better finish up laundry and maybe even run the sweeper before Steve gets home! Have a great night!

Hi all,

Busy weekend....We finally got the Christmas tree.. Hope found the shortest and widest tree in the entire tree farm....It was soooo hard to get it through the door...We are going to have to cut it up to get it out of the house...LOL!!!!!!!!

Finished wrapping the stocking stuffers last night. Last year Bruce had gotten the kids those GIANT Stockings...I/We were almost able to fill them both....

The kids and I made Gingerbread men/girls and a Gingerbread house. They all came out soooo nice and some peanut butter cookies tooo...The kids have colds too so they are having a rough time sleeping now...

Sleet, Freezing Rain, and Ice are falling outside and tomorrow is supposed to be a yucky commute...The kids want a day off....

Hello All,
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
We made a quick weekend trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge to do a little Christmas shopping. We have had this trip planned for over a year. We stayed at a new hotel on the strip in Pigeon Forge. It was incredible. If any of you have been to PF and have been to The Christmas Place, now across the street is The Inn at Christmas Place. It is spectacular. It is decorated for Christmas year round, and several of the rooms are decorated year round also. We are going back to Gatlinburg for New Years. They have a big street party, ball drop, and fireworks at the Space Needle. It's not Times Square, but it is as close as I will ever get on New Years Eve!
Roliepolieoliefan, I was pulling for your Steelers today, but it didn't work out. Our Titans gave away another game today...

How was everyone's weekend?? Mine was very busy. We went up to the mountains and played in the snow!! We got about 6 inches while we were up there! I guess that's the best snow to get....the kind you go and visit.
It was cold up there. Now I'm home and it's supposed to be 65 and sunny today.

We are going to DL tomorrow!!!!! Woohoo!! I love going to DL at Christmas time, it's so beautiful. I will try to post some pictures if I can figure out how to.

Our weekend was very busy, as well. Dd was in a parade Sat and it was so hot. It was 88 plus and we all were laughing because it was a christmas parade and it was so hot. She had practice Sunday and DS had a sleepover.

I cannot believe Christmas is in 15 days. I am so far behind. I have not put up my window wreaths or finsihed decorating my 2nd tree. Think I am stopping and calling it done. We leave on the 26th and will not be back until Jan 5. I just do not see the need to finish at this point. Oh well..

Wow, sounds like you have been busy!!

Our Christmas is coming along. I'm almost done with shopping, most of the gifts are wrapped, my house is decorated, but no tree yet. We wait until about a week before Christmas to get the tree because we always have a problem with it drying out before the holiday. But it looks like Christmas exploded in my house because of all the decorations. I collect snowmen ( I probably have about 150 around the house. And I also have a village set up which takes up a lot of room. So it still feels like Christmas even without the tree.

Where is everyone going for Christmas? We are staying home. But we are having about 28 over for Christmas dinner. The kids and grandkids are coming home. I'm thrilled to be spending Christmas with them. We don't get to do that much anymore.

I just watched Jon and Kate + 8, they were at WDW, I was tired just watching them. It sure did make me want to be there though. I just finished wrapping, I still have a few things to buy but I pretty much done. The weather was nice today (as far as winter goes that is). I am so happy we are going in March, I have something to look forward to.

Kristin, Jenna got your girls card, she was thrilled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be our 15th Anniversary!!!!!!!

They should be getting Jenna's cards real soon too. Jon and Kate are the couple that had twins (2 girls) then she had sextuplets(3 boys 3 girls). It quite amusing at times. They took them all to WDW, Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!
