Let me explain myself...
My Grandmother, Danzer45's Mother, passed away Wednesday morning the 28th, and we buried her Friday. She has been struggling with respiratory problems and congestive heart failure / COPD, for the last couple of years, but especially the last several weeks. She was exactly 1 month from her 90th birthday.(Dec.28) I got to spend some with her Tuesday night, and she was having a good day. She was fine when I left her that night. We got a call from the nursing home Wednesday morning that she wasn't responding to anyone or anything. We all went up there and got to spend the last couple of hours with her even though she had no idea we were there. She went very peacefully, basically went to sleep Tuesday night and never woke up. We should all be so lucky. The important thing is, she is no longer suffering. I haven't posted anything about it because I didn't want to bring everyone down here at the holidays. While we are sad she is gone, we are happy she is no longer suffering. She is getting a much better birthday party than we could have given her anyway! She is dancing & celebrating with my grandfather which she has missed for 62 years, along with her Mother, Father, Sister and other family and friends. I bet the Pearly Gates are rockin' tonight!!

Now, I have some additions to make to the list, so if anyone has anything to add or change, send it quick! Keep the Pirate Run going and I'll get in on it tomorrow.
Allen

Allen I am so sorry for your loss but understand as my mother and sister were ill for years before they each passed over. My mom was only 73 when she left and my sister was only 44 this past fall when is passed over.

You asked for information and changes will I have a big one. I am so sorry, as this thread is a really good one, to let everyone know that there has been a change in our plans. Janet and I have decided we wanted to include a visit to WDW in our plans next year and could not afford to do that with the B2B2B. We have cancled this cruise and added 7 days before our first cruise. I will miss each of you. I know that your cruise will be awesome and I wish that this one was the one after the double dip but alass it is not.

Happy holidays to everyone. Lois

Good morning everyone! My cable has been out for the last 24 hours, so no TV, no internet! Wow, like living in the stone age, you have no idea how much you do that involves that. I couldn't even load CD's onto Itunes, because it uses the internet to get the song titles.

Allen, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Now, for the busses, I'm good with which ever, as long I get to sit with Keith Partridge!!!! Circa 1970something, not the way he looks now LOL. Saw him at Epcot in October, not so impressed anymore...

My whole world is now white!!!! It snowed all day yesterday, yuck! We haven't had this much snow in December in many years. It's going to be a very long winter.

Allen,,

I am very sorry for your loss and will keep you in our prayers.......

Allen, I am so sorry, my thoughts are with you. Its nice to come here to escape, we will try to cheer you up!!:grouphug:

Lois, I'm sorry to hear you are leaving us, come "visit" us some time.

Sorry Kristin, I had to bail on you last night with our Pirate run, it was fun while it lasted though. I'm always up for more!!!

As for snow, we got plenty over night. It is mild today though and as much as I hate winter, it does look beatiful (until it turns all dirty and slushy)

I'm taking the kidlets to a Birthday party now, hopefully the roads aren't to slippery.

Have fun, me mateys ARRRR!!!!pirate:

The kids are having fun with the pirate games...

Gina, The twins sent Gina a Christmas Card.. They are excited to meet her.

Anyone going to WDW in April?? Or in the summer??

Anyone up for another pirate run today??

Man, I am going to have to make time to check in everyday! Miss a day or two and you miss a few pages!!

I LOVE the pirate ship bus!! DCL should concider those to take us to the port in!

Allen, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Lois and Janet! I am so bummed to hear you are changing your plans!! We will miss you onboard!! Please visit this thread when you get a chance!!

Finishing up the indoor holiday decor today. Have one more tree to put up and some garland on the stairs. I "think" that will be it!

The weather is yucky, but for us, it's mostly rain. I have heard we are maybe going to get a dusting over the next few days, but who knows! I have 20" chrome wheels on my truck and Steve has not had time to change them to my stock wheels yet! If we do get any snow that sticks, my truck may become a sled! The tread on my tires is not all season! It might be interesting for a few days!

I better get busy! Stay warm and cozy!!

So Excited! :dance3: So Excited! Heard that more Hannah Montana tix were coming available since they opened up some new seats recently at the shows...Tried yesterday and had no luck! Just went to Ticketmaster and scored three tix for DH and myself to treat DD6 to her first "real" concert :cool1: :thumbsup2 ...I took DS9 to see Rascal Flatts this past summer at one of our local casinos here in CT (which is great to be so close), so I figured it was due time to treat our DD6 to a big concert as well...Not sure what our DS4 will do when he finds out he cannot go along, but we'll deal with that...It just amazes me that I am actually saying that it is time to treat our DD6! I did not go to my first "real" concert until I was at least 16-17!! :confused3

KRITTER: I know you will have better seats than us to the Hartford concert on the 19th, but we will be there too..Best choice of seats I could get was in Section 212...Thought I'd better grab them while something was available!

To think I needed one more event to attend between now and Christmas!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: But, it's Hannah Montana!!! :woohoo: :lmao:

I have managed to gift two of my kids in two days with great gifts for Christmas, c/o Ticketmaster! I am going to see Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood with my DS17 in early Feb, but am giving him his ticket for part of his BIG Santa gift. And, no, I have not yet told my DD6 (nor DH :lmao: He is on duty until tomorrow...). I think I will fashion a note from Santa to give her the week of the concert saying something about an early Christmas surprise coming her way soon...And, to think , earlier today, she just about had me talked into Santa bringing her a Nintendo DS Lite...DS9 is getting one and I thought to avoid fighting over it, I would just go ahead and honor here request. But, now that has changed...I not only had to pay for ONE ticket, I also had to get mine and DH's, so this ended up being a pricey Santa surprise. Especially so, since I spent just as much yesterday with Ticketmaster to get the Keith Urban, etc. tix for me and DS17...The only thing I dread is going to Hartford again for a concert...We are pretty spoiled here in Southeastern CT with the casinos only being 15 minutes away..Have seen many a good concert at Mohegan Sun in particular in recent years...So nice to not have to travel so far, but for HANNAH MONTANA?!? I guess we'll manage the extra travel time to treat our little girl! :goodvibes

I have no idea what time we will try to get into Hartford...Our tickets are "will call", so I will be in quite a line for them I figure..I still need to get a sitter for the boys, but tentatively would leve to head up as soon as we can after school is out and boys are settled...I will know better when I hear from the sitter...

Going to Hannah Montana! :woohoo: Going to Hannah Montana! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm jealous, my dd would have loved to have seen Hannah, but we were in WDW at the time.

I did buy her Hannah Montana 3D movie tix yesterday. And she is getting HSM the Musical tickets for her birthday (even though we've seen it live on stage twice already).

I also plunked down a bunch on tickets this week, bought Brad Paisley tickets for all 4 of us to stuff in our stockings!

We skipped Rascal Flatts this year, Dh and I have seen them 4 times, DS 3 times and DD twice, so we passed on this tour. They put on a great show though!

Allen I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you got to spend her last night with her.

Thanks for the email.
Take your time on the list. I'm in no hurry. Give yourself time to grieve.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

This is great!!! Another country music fan!!!
We just got Garth Brooks tickets!! He is doing a benefit concert here in L.A. for the fire victims. He was planning on doing one show but it sold out within minutes. Long story short, he is now doing 5 concerts in 2 days!!
We've seen Rascal Flatts too. They do put on a good show.
We've never seen Brad Paisley, but I hear he is good.

Mommyrom,

I think I am going to pick the kids up from school and head into Hartford for dinner and then go to the concert.......The traffic is going to be AWFUL with all of the regular rush hour city traffic and then the concert traffic and their is a UCONN basketball game too I think that night. So everyone will be going through the city it is going to be a mad house. DH used to work in the city and can tell you where to park if you are not sure.......

You have some pretty good seats if they are on the side of the stage????

Oh my gosh that would be soo cool if we got to meet you before the show!!!!!!!!!!!CONGRATS AGAIN!!!!!!

:santa: I found Hannah Montana wrapping paper at the dollar store to wrap our tickets in....................:santa:

Interupting the Pirate run for an important message from our sponsors LOL,

Kristin, Jenna just finished two pictures for Hanna and Hope, complete with lots of stickers. I was hoping that I would have a Christmas pic to put in there as well, so i expect their Christmas cards will be in the mail Monday or Tuesday. Jenna will be so excited to get her cards from your girls!!!

Janet, Jacob has finished his letter for Joey, and Jenna has finished a picture for Emme, also expected to go out this week.

LOTS of snow today, kids were out building snow forts and tunnels, they loved it.

I'm off to watch The Amazing Race. As for all these concerts, dh and I are going to see Bon Jovi this Friday. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

Now back to your regular pirate run programming!!

Thanks for the update from the kids! Joey and Emme have been getting quite creative these past couple of days and some surprises are on the way very soon!

You are lucky to be going to see Bon Jovi! He is coming to one of our nearby casinos before long and tix sold out within minutes this past Friday...Have fun!

Kritter,

We also will probably eat on the run that day as soon as we are able to hit the road! I dread city driving and rush hour traffic, but we at least somewhat know the general vicinity. DH hopefully can get easy parking at a Fire Dept. nearby, seeing as that ususally works for fellow firefighters when they come into different towns. Thanks for the offer of help for parking from your DH...

I think we made out pretty well with our seats. I held out a bit because at first, the offered tix were for very high rows. But it came up with Row L, so I grabbed the tix..Better than the earlier Rows R or U. I checked the view from our section to the stage on the Civic Center seating chart and it's not too bad afterall. I have had awesome times at other concerts with those "Limited View" seat choices! If you wish to share cell phone #'s ahead of time, let me know by PM and maybe we can at least let the girls say Hello before the concert.
