Hi everyone! I'm new to these forums and will be cruising with you in October 08! :woohoo:
Why, oh why, did we book a cruise so far out?! Everyday I think about the cruise... still over a year away unfortunately. DH and I went on our honeymoon on DCL last August and booked this cruise while we were on the ship. Can't wait! I'm excited to do the Eastern this time, and I'm already thinking of which excursions I want to do.

Look forward to sailing with everyone... it'll be here before we know it (hopefully)

WELCOME WELCOME!!!!!

:welcome: to the DIS and :welcome: aboard! It will go faster than you think. You will have time to plan your trip and change your mind 4 or 5 times! :lmao: We booked our '06 Magic cruise while on the Magic in October of '04. We wound up going on a 4 night Wonder in Oct. '05 to hold us over. I have some friends in Arcola, Ill. Are you anywhere near there??
Allen
:disrocks:

Welcome to JoAnne and DH! Just think, we've only got 556 more days to go! Whoo hoo!!!! :rotfl2:

Allen, I read a good bit, but not all of, the trip report you posted! She is funny!!! Hopefully, I'll have time to finish it soon! At first I thought maybe she was going to be cruising with us, but I found where they are doing the double dip.

I hope this finds everyone happy and healthy! pirate:

Arcola is about 30 minutes from where I'm currently living. We're in Champaign, IL right now at the University of Illinois, I'm finishing up graduate school here. But come May I will be finished :yay: and then we'll be moving up to Chicago.

Hey, everybody. Just checking in . It has been awhile since I first posted. We just returned from Ga visiting family and we gave my brother a going away (going to war) party. It was great fun and sad at the same time.

We are really looking forward to our cruise. I wish it was this October.

Anyone else from FL on our cruise so far? How are we doing on the group bookings?

I hope everyone is doing well.

I was just looking at previous posts and was seeing where everyone was from, looks like I'm the only one from Illinois so far.

Steveandtonya, where are you from in Oklahoma? DH grew up in Tulsa, and his parents still live there.

3sons, where are you in Alabama? All DH's extended family is from Alabama. Everyone in his family (besides him) has either gone to Bama or Auburn, it's a HUGE rivalry in his family. I didn't know anything about the school's rivalry being from "up north" (as they call it).

Hope everyone has a great night! :flower3:

We live in Mustang, Ok which is just southwest of Oklahoma City. Too far from the ocean. We used to live 45 minutes from the ocean in North Carolina and then moved out here when we had our daughter. What were we thinking? :scared1: Hope everyone is doing good.
Steve

Jennifer,

I think we need two more to change to Carol for our group booking so we can get the welcome reception or Palo Brunch.. I think. Erika could probally verify for us. I don't think we will have a problem getting the group benefits and booking...

Anyone else from CT???

Kristin

It is freezing here today....

It's freezing here too! It went from being 78 degrees on Monday to 32 degrees today. I had officially put away the winter coats and hats and scarves, just to dig them all out again for today.

Tell me about it, Kristin~ The wind here on the coast today was unreal!!! And, so much for the pot of pansies I bought the other day for my front steps...They are now an indoor houseplant! Oh, well, so it goes for New England weather :confused3

Our MN weather is equally cruel! It was 81 last Monday. Last night when I went to bed, it was 17 degrees with 40 MPH wind gusts, and there was snow on the ground!!!!!!!!!!!! It's supposed to be 37 here on Easter, yuck. This is so typical of MN weather though, they always say "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it will change".

I have a puppy laying across both my arms and my chest, and I'm using my laptop. It has taken me like 5 minutes to type this because I keep screwing up.

Oh Erika,

That weather sounds terrible...

I know we live in way different growing zones but, those pansies are tough..I put out pansies in late October and leave them out all winter. They usually don't freeze beyond help until late January or early February here. This year, they froze in early February. I just left them alone, and in early March, they started to come back. :flower2: They are back in full bloom, so I covered them up tonight!
Same crazy weather here. It's been in the 70's and 80's for a couple of weeks. Now, 20's at night, low 50's during the day tonight through Easter. "Spring will return right after this message from Dogwood winter." :rolleyes1

today it is freezing here.. UGH!! HIGh of mid forties.. UGH!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day....
here is a picture of us from our last cruise...

Makes me wish we were there now...
