We went to Costco and bought 4 new tires for our Maxima, them picked up some food for MIL, took it to her house and put together a wheel chair for her and changed her AC filter, picked the girls up from school.....and that's about it!!!! Not much!! LOL

Bruce, is doing the strength training on the WII-Fit he did the push ups and it just said to him, "Don't forget to breath while exercising." Then when he finished it said looks like your not strong enough for this exercise. I think you need more practice...!!!!!!!!!!I'm eating popcorn and laughing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played with mine while Denis was gone with Josh earlier....I just did 30 minutes tonight!!! bad me!!!!! LOL

yep......he's sleeping right now and I checked to see if he had a fever and he had nothing so that's good!!!!!!!!! I'll call the school too tomorrow and tell them Josh will not be going for the rest of the week.....maybe go back Friday if he's better??????? for his field trip to the park!!!!!

Alright the boys are in bed!!!!!!!!!!
while giving the boys a bath tonight Josh was saying he was itchy on his legs, so we just thought it was his rash coming back.......but the closer we looked at it the more it looked like Chicken Pox!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I told Denis to take Josh to the after hours walk in clinic to make sure it really is that.........he just came home and YES it is!!!!!!!!!!!!
what am I suppose to do now???????? I have never had this and Denis can't take the time off?????????? oh well
so am I suppose to disinfect the whole house now too??????? help I don't know what to do????

Oh Nancy and Denis, sorry to hear that and having gone through it with Jenna, Jacob and Alec not very long ago I feel your pain!!!!

I haven't read through and I am sure I am repeating what everyone has said but here goes anyway, it was about 2 weeks after Jenna had it that Jake and Alec got it. Both Jenna and Jakes were pretty mild and aside from slight itching which daily oatmeal baths cured they weren't bothered at all. They didn't have any other symptoms. When Alec got it mind you (and going to get the shot didn't help so I wouldn't bother), he was out of commission, you remember he got it at WDW, he was so sore and ached and tired and stayed in bed. You may be a carrier in which case you may not get it but it is airborne and if you are in the house even being real careful its hard to avoid it. I pray that you do not get it, sending you lots of pixie dust.

Bruce,, has never had them and the Dr. told him that it would be worse for him if he ever got it. I think adults can get shingles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually only adults (or kids!) who have had chicken pox can get shingles, and they CANT get them from anyone elses chicken pox!

Once you have had chicken pox, you have the titers in your blood. When your body is under stress, having immune issues, etc, those titers cause your body to break out in shingles. It tends to break out along nerve pathways... Sean had them last fall (shingles!) and it was just in one area over his back. We never even knew he had HAD CP before... we had to do a lab to check his titers which is the ONLY way we found out.

Which one do you think is better. Bruce wants me to order one tonight with a spout on it?? That is what we have at home and it is GREAT.. No chunks of ice or anything!!!!!!!!!!

I think the second one would be better!!!!!!! it has better reviews on it!

I bought the calamine lotion and it didn't do much good, the oatmeal (aveeno) baths were the best thing, every day. Even in his hair as they get spots on their head. Mine never fevered, but they couldn't go to school until the spots scabbed over. I was also told to avoid the pool.

Sorry, had to run and bring in everything from around our pool area. Tornado warnings in effect right now we are having some bad storms so if the power goes out then that is it for me for tonight,. Boy,, Bruce and I just got our work out for tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
