The sheet rock is all hung and they stated mudding it and taping it today...They are starting the hard wood floor in the family room on Monday. Starting to look like it is getting on the road to completion....FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well it's about time LOL good to hear they are almost done though!!

Steve despises mudding and sanding. But he's so much of a perfectionist, he could never surrender it to someone else. He is wiring the family room this weekend, sheetrock will probably begin in a couple weeks. He's not looking forward to that!

that sounds like alot of work!!! Denis and I did the basement last year and it was hard work putting those huge heavy sheets on the ceiling!!!!!!

Very very slowly, but moving!

But if you have a really good contractor that is really good at mudding he OR SHE can usually get away with very little sanding. Most of us really have no idea what we are doing so we buy premixed. These guys get powder and add the water to the consistancy they want.
All I did this time is buy the low dusting premixed. It works well but you get about half the coverage of a normal bucket. The clean up is quicker but dust is dust....
