That is sweet how close you were to your MIL. I love pieces of furniture that hold meaning like the sewing table. I have my grandmother's antique table and matching hutch. I have the small hutch in my dining room and the small table in my hallway upstairs. Both the pieces came from her family in England. I love them both.. Then I have nesting tables from my aunt's parents in my hallway foyer...
My mother has the trunk that my grandmother travelled with on the boat on the way over from England. She is still using it in her house now. But I wan it someday!!!!!!!!!

Oh what a atreasure that trunk must be! sigh.. I love trunks, chests, etc... more STORAGE, and pretty storage is even better!

My mom has a cherry grand piano that my sister is lusting after... she even had the gall to tell mom she had scheduled the mover to pick it up so she could take it with her when she moved to another state!

Mom was NOT happy... ended up writing into her will that as it is a family heirloom it WILL stay in the family (sis has no kids and is not having any!). Sigh.. so far the only grandkids who actually play and enjoy the piano, are MINE! LOL.. not that I have any designs on it myself at ALL, its just funny in a sick kind of way how my mom ended up reacting to my sisters plan for the piano. Sigh...

What are the girls activities that were som important you had to abandon DIS for? LOL
We had to get the Wii, somehow I forgot to get into this decade of technology. I guess we'll have to think about an LCD tv sometime too...

LOL!! we're still not in this decade yet.........I mean look......we just got this laptop.....and we still don' have a WII!!!!

We don't have an LCD TV yet either...but we do have a high def 55 inch........does that count?????

Yes, that trunk is a gem. My mom uses it a table in her family room has stuff on top of it for decoration. The handle on the side is broken the leather is torn from my great grandfather carrying it for so long. The stamps inside of it are from when they arrived in Ellis Island, NY!! IT is neat. I wish that trunk could talk...

That is funny about the piano...I bet someday you will end up with that piano. Bruce, just went to take a shower did not beat Emma tonight...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

We leave Friday!!!!!!!
The kids get out of school at 12:40...we will pick them up and head straight for the port......It's about a 40 min drive!!!
I think it's the same one that the Magic uses when she is out here!!!

Well, once we are done homeschooling I have the perfect place to keep it for the kids till they have their own homes.. LOL! Yes, the SCHOOL room! (though most people would probably call it the "formal dining room"). Of course all going well, we wont still be living in this house by then... we do NOT need something THIS BIG for the 4 of us!

We have talked about maybe someday having a foreign exchange student come live with us... I think that could be really interesting! We shall see...

I am off to bed. My allergies kicked up after doing yard work the last few days... yuck! See you all tomorrow!

I'm so excited!!!!!!!
The girls started getting their stuff ready to pack. They still have to get their bedrooms ready for when we come back from DL with the grandkids, they will be staying in their rooms.....Meagan has a trundle under her bed and we have a couple of air mattresses for the other two!!

I have my cruise file ready with my on-line check in papers and luggage tags, but I have to remember to put our passports in there......maybe I should do that tonight!!

We are going on the Monarch of the Seas!! Royal Caribbean!
I haven't been able to find wecam yet....I've to the port of Los Angeles website, but I didn't have much luck!!!

May I'll research and see what I can find!!!

I do plan on taking lots of pictures though!!!
