You're right. The view at the Beach Club is far superior to the VIllas. And it does have my favorite pool.

Yes, the pool is wonderful! I also love Hurricane Hannah's, that is one thing I wish the BWV, more quick food options. Hannah's is good and convenient and the marketplace off the lobby is great. The bar at the BWV pool is lacking for food.

Well the GS-13 position fell through. Was very, very disappointed at first. Then I was told I am going to be offered a GS-14 position! Sweet - they are going to grandfather my 6 years of active duty and the past three years I have been on contract. This means on top of all the benefits and stability (which is what I was most excited about), I will be receiving a raise in pay! Nice little cherry!

Received a call late, late last night from Shawn. I was way off on the time-line for the store opening. It really opens tomorrow morning at 9am. Hence the reason he will be coming home on Saturday - yes I am not always on top of everything. They had their Grand Opening Gala last night at Ala Moana and it apparently was a huge success. The store is suppose to be beautiful and the fashion show was in his words "hot". Says he has been working non-stop while he has been there, but after 26 days in Hawaii, I imagine he will be arriving home very tan! Jerk !

Where is everyone tonight?

I have the bed all put back together! I can't WAIT to jump in! I measured...the mattress is 15" deep...I hope these sheets don't come popping off through the night, and from floor to top, it's 35"....more so with the sheets and comforter back on! I will feel like a princess every night!

I think Colton is well enough to go back to school tomorrow. There has been no loss of bodily fluids today.

I won a free cup of coffee with Tim's Rollup the Rim and win contest! :cool1: That was nice after the week we've had!

Walmart opens at 730 tomorrow morning! I might just take the babies and check it out!

Tomorrow is Connor's Boy Scout Blue and Gold Crossover Dinner. I am not sure if he is going to continue on or not. He said no the other day, but with trying to get everything accomplished, I think he's just a bit burned out right now.

More snow is on the way. We should get 2-4 inches on Saturday. A PERFECT day for chili and beer bread!

Michele,

Sean says the same thing about scouts. He got his Webelos at our blue and gold last week, but we will be working till fall probably so they can get their arrow of light. he is just not sure that camping is for him (and I DO understand, though I think he needs to give it a try a time or two before making that decision).

Congrats on the free coffee (eww... coffee ice cream with LOTS of fudge is about the closest to coffee that I get!), and enjoy that new bed!

Congrats! Is that like getting a double promotion then?

It's hard when they are out of town to begin with, but when they come home all tan and relaxed looking, gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Connor didn't even want to go to the dinner tomorrow night and told him to go and at least get the awards coming to you and to get your arrow of light. They made the arrow and the plaque to hang it! At least go to get that!! (and I won't have to cook dinner! LOL)

I am not a huge coffee drinker. I had actually got a French Vanilla Cappuccino. I will drink coffee now and then, so a freebie is just a bonus!

Boys. I have a feeling our's will get along famously! LOL!

Sean is OH so excited... he had some left over bday money to spend, and we went out yesterday and had some fun. He picked up a pair of nerf dart guns and them some toy called Bio-Bytes where he can arrange to have various animals battle each other (his favorite TV show was on animal planet where they made computer simulations of animals battling...). Bizarre kid!

Have a great Blue and Gold banquet! We are off to the grocery store tonight... just love shopping as a family! LOL!

Allen,
I hope you have a great trip you lucky!!!!!
I'll be looking for your wave when you pass the camera!!!!;)

I hope someone sees him go thru and if there is a way to make a picture of it I'd love to see it... I sent the link to work today and checked it... sure enough, ACCESS DENIED:mad:   .... so doubt if I get to see them go thru... I have left a voice mail for someone from IT to contact me to see if I can get the access lifted just for a couple of hours. No reply back from them yet. :confused3 I had thought no problem, as I would still be here from the surgery, but since I had to postpone it... I'm bummed out...

OH... surgery is rescheduled for March 28th.

When we got our new mattress, it's 16 inches I think, and I bought sheets for 18 inch mattresses and they don't stay on at all. They hook under the pillow top on my side and just stay that way LOL.

Alexa has a school ski trip tomorrow, in March, so they won't freeze. Well guess what? One of the colder days in the history of March is scheduled for tomorrow. -6 in the morning. Next week 45, but the day they go skiing, freezing. I love Minnesota, NOT!

Sandra,

I bet March 28th can not come soon enough!!!!!!

Erika,

Are you watching Lost?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should we let them pack a nerf gun each and they can chase each other down the hall with them? HHmmm....something in my mommy brain says that might be frowned upon...but something in my kid brain says it sounds like fun! LOL Connor loves to watch AP and they always try to watch the shows about what life would have been like when the Dinosaurs roamed the earth...I am pretty sure that is the show you're talking about?

today we had a few military jets fly over! It was LOUD. I just knew by the time I got outside they would be gone, so I didn't even rush out....but I wish I would have been close enough to a window to look. A few weeks ago we had 2 shanook helicopters fly over...those are the ones with 2 propellers, one in the front and one in the back, right? I was able to see them as they were going slower, but they were also VERY loud. We have an air national guard unit in Charleston, so I am assuming they were heading there.

Oh my gosh Erika, She is going to be really really cold!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erika,

Are you watching Lost?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weeks Lost hasn't started yet. We have to watch Idol first, as soon as Alexa gets out of the shower, then we'll watch Lost when that's done, without the commercials.

Oh, gosh I thought it was what we saw last week. I told Bruce it was but he told me I was out of mind...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Erika, I would second guess letting her go! OMG. I just can't even imagine! STAY WARM Alexa!!! I think I would stay by the fire and drink hot cocoa all day!

I am going to look into getting another set of sheets...but we'll see how these do!

We've had our bed almost 5 years, and I just left then that way LOL. Even worse is the mattress pad, that doesn't stay on at all, it only hooks on the pillowtop all the way around.

You got that right! :yay:

Allen called today when they got to Miami... They left the bank at 3:45 this morning to catch a flight out of Nashville at 6am... it only takes 20 min to get to the Nashville airport from here:confused3 ... They flew to Memphis... about 30 min. and had a 2 hour layover:confused: and they were in Miami by noon. Then had about a 30 minute drive to Ft. Lauderdale to catch the ship. I probably will not hear from them again till they get back unless he gets internet on the ship, as they don't have international roaming on their cells.
