I think so.. There are threads on the DIS for it too. Is it that popular in Canada??

Gina,

DId you get my email about the girls getting their cards..???????

Not sure, I know one person who does it, she lives on my street.

Yes, I told Jenna she was very happy that they got them.

Its takes alot of work and patience thats for sure.

I think it does....

Tell her the rings were in perfect shape. They made her some special chocolates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She will be happy because she was afraid that those rings would be squished:goodvibes

Did you go to NY? Did you talk with that lady from school?

We homeschool and love it! Can't imagine what our lives would be like without it... imagine, we can sleep till 8 or 9 am if we want, do school in jammers or nighties, and go on vacations (CRUISING!) in the middle of the school year without needing permission or to bring homework on board ship.

Of course in our situation it helps too in that our youngest has so many doc appts and surgeries, not to mention doc visits to other states (he has doctors in Boston, Denver and Seattle as well as Boise, and we have traveled to Texas for consult as well).

I also have a HUGE van so we can carry all our needed medical supplies...:cool1: (ford 350 extended!) It has a wheelchair lift, thankfully not needed at the present though we have used it in the past and we drive everywhere we need to go. We WILL be driving to Florida for the cruise... or should I say I will be with the kids, and DH will fly in to meet us! Gonna visit a few friends in Ohio and Indiana on our way out.

Fun fun fun!!!

We did not go to NY since it was yucky weather...Rainy and snowy.. No FUN!!!!! To be in the city with that weather..>Let, me know if you decide to go....

I did talk to her and she was totally understanding said I need to put myelf first and my family and take care of myself. Well as it turns out I would not have been able to do it anyways. Bruce, calls me from work today to inform me he will be in Las Vegas the week before we go away coming home one day before we fly out to go. Well, I would not have had a sitter for the kids to work at the science fair anyways.....I'm not too happy that he will not be here to help me get ready to go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heidi,

I'm envious of you being able to go away whenever you want too.. Sounds like homeschooling is perfect for you and your family....
You are brave to drive alone to Florida with the kids....!!!!

my friend also tells me she enjoys it very much, she only did it because of personal reasons, nothing like in your case!
Is it a long drive for you? I would LOVE to drive there too, if we go to WDW next year we are probably going to do this.

It was a HUGE load....!!!!!!

You know, its funny... it seems like more work to get the kids situated into a public school to me! LOL! I like to sleep in... and we would have to be doing IEP stuff with the younger one.

Its not for everyone, but it does work for us... I just love it when they finally "get" something and I was the one who helped them to learn it. :) :) :)

20 hours of driving hmm? Where do you live? I think its going to take us 5 days to drive, but we will stay with friends for a week or two so we will probably leave Idaho in mid Sept.

We drove to WDW way back in '81, around the time the wheel was invented. I was 13 back then. All I remember is my parents drove 2 days to go but were so beat they decided we would take 3 days to come back. Luckily we don't have to drive that far but it is a 12 hour drive to go to Nancy's parents which we do twice a year.

We are just east of Toronto, it takes about that to drive straight. We will play it by ear whether we will stop and sleep or just take turns driving. My dh likes to go and not stop until he gets to his destination:rotfl: :car:
