Good morning all! Thanks for the email Kristin! Now, I really am having trouble with my current TA. I still haven't received an invoice for this cruise and she switched it last week-she never sent me an email telling me the switch was made-I had to log onto disneycruise to find out it was done-and I really just want to switch to a different TA. So that is my objective today!
I located that website about the St. Thomas daysail-they are very well regarded on cruisecritic! The site name is stjohndaysail.com and they are more than willing to have kids sail with them;and they have reduced rates for the kiddies! I sent them an email;they also have the ability to tandem with other sail boats for large groups. I will post their email response when I receive it. If anyone is interested please check out their website!

It's cold here too! School was cancelled yesterday but on for today.
I have sent an email to the TA Carol. And I have sent 1 also to the current TA requesting her to release the booking,I called Disney yesterday and they said that was the route I had to go;then if no response they would be able to help.

I guess homeschooling is becoming popular again!!

i homeschooled megan from the 1st until 4th grade she is in public school now, so far the only thing she has learned is how to cuss in 2 languages and to be Goth and get grounded alot for being disrectful she is the 6th grade now and is studing things in history she studied in the 3rd grade. The only subject she has improved in is Math and that because that wasn't my favorite subject She was in private school for kindergarten and 1/2 if first. Their policy was to raise girls to be good wives for their husband , that wasn't my objective. We joined the homeschooler they are a little strange but you can give your child a good education and not have to follow anyone doctrine, I let the genie out of the bottle and can't get her back in

Yes, some of us homeschoolers can be a little strange... but its worth it! LOL! Hey, we dont have to go back to school shopping in August... I get way too frustrated shopping when its crowded so we usually wait till school is back in session and go during the day when its nice and quiet.

i liked hs too. i only had the one child so i don't know what i would do with more. we would take our vacations when everyone was in school. last year she missed a week to go on cruise the school said it would not be EXCUSED
she missed 2 wks and didn't miss a thing she was still ahead. she is a bad speller and i went to school to talk to teacher, she said not to worry they don't do spelling. its not on the SAT so they are still teaching to the test and nothing more I've had to go to school a few times for bullying, i asked about zero tolerant policy on bullying, she said actually it zero tolerance for weapons. so the can bully until someone brings a weapon seems like it would be to late. sorry about the rant this is a fun cruise line board i should find a board for bad public school, but i rather think about my cruise coming up and be happy

gosh that is so bad about the bullying!!! you see if it was like that here, I would pull out my son in a heartbeat and homeschool. But he's in a great school were they don't tolerate ANY bullying and bad behaviour which I think is great. I guess we have a different system here in Canada where they learn everything in school inculding spelling.
