2pm is probably good for Ice cream. 11 is right before lunch. I don't know if we'll make it every day or not.

I may be confusing two cruise lines, but isn't the ice cream served at 3:00? Not the self serve machines, but I recall a make your own sundaes set up by the entrance to Topsiders at 3ish. Can any other previous cruisers help me out here?

Hey all,

I see I have a lot of catching up to do, hope I haven't missed too much. I am in a serious amount of pain, I threw out my back and went to the doc this morning, I got an anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxer, witing for it to kick in, it hurts to breathe, no wii-fit for a while, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'll go get caught up now, I can't do anything else lol

Ohhh Gina, that's terrible! Hope it feels better soon.

Ok, so I went back, hope I got it all.

Shauna - Glad to hear everything went well with Christopher, you can breathe easy now!! :goodvibes

Allen - Thanks so much for the Mickey ears!!!

Michele - you are too kind!

Heidi - Hope all is clear with your MRI!!pixiedust:

Welcome Lyndee to the FE!

Any reason to eat ice cream is a great idea, see you all there!! 12 and 2 sounds reasonable, I'll be there when I can.

Maureen - all the best to your mom!!!:wizard:

I think my kids would think the ice cream contest would be fun!!! and messy!!:lmao:

My FE's are family oriented, not individual. I spent some time yesterday getting it all together and trying to make it as small as possible for transporting, not an easy task. I was going to put it all together before but I think I will have to do it on the ship as there are several things per bag. Dividing the list may be a good idea, I know it can get expensive.

Thanks Kristin for finding out all this info. for us.

Shauna - Jacob will love that Stitch you did, thanks for sharing. I like the idea of printing out the map and highlighting the rooms, great idea.

Hi Patricia1!!!!!

I think I just lost my job!!! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

Gina, I am SO sorry you are hurting!!! I totally feel for you!! i have a bad back and when it's out, it's not fun!! Any idea what you did? The best thing I ever did for mine was to see a chiropractor. I know we have gone down this path before, and I can't remember your feelings on it, but it really did me a world of good to go! Get better soon!!!!

I say we just plan stuff for on the cruise and if people can come, then they come, if not, that's fine too. Like.....

Walking at 7, Ice Cream at 11 and 2, Buffet Buffet at 9 in Quiet Cove on Monday, Ice Cream eating contest at 2 on Tuesday....kids and adults welcome, Sail away party Deck 10 Starboard, group photos Sunday 10am deck 7 and Pirate Group Photo in front of Walt Disney Theater 5pm......

I know it might be a bit of work, BUT how about we get all these times and places planned and then we can either A) make a copy of the agenda and email it to everyone on "the list" or B) make a copy of the agenda and pass them out on board....either at the parties or stopping by each stateroom and sliding it under the door. I know this would take more time, but maybe if everyone helped out....like I could take deck 7 and cover those rooms....then everyone would know what is going on when and know that EVERYONE is invited to everything. So even if you have lurked and read...HI PATRICIA!!!...and just haven't had the time to post, you can STILL come to all the activities and you would know when and where they are! Sort of like our own Parrothead Navigator?? Whatcha' think? In my mind I have it pictured like a spread sheet....Days at the top and times down the side, then activities in the columns. Making sense?

Oh Gina,,

SOrry you are hurting so bad.. Did you have your camp-out last night????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michele,

Aren't we in port on Tuesday at 2??

Did you ever try printing your door signs as photos?? I am wondering if that works or not. I just printed a couple in black and white at work for a test and the only way they print right is 8x10's, is there a way to print them smaller??

Erika, I really didn't think when I threw that out there...we probably are in a port on Tuesday...it was all for example.
I have not tried to print off anything yet. The people I sit for our going on vacation the week of the 18th, so I will have my days free. I plan/hope to get all this stuff done....tshirts, fe gifts, door signs etc. If it printed in an 8x10, then we should be in luck! Also, if you have the image on a card, I "think" the machine will ask what size you want it to print in, right? So you could do 2 5x7s on a page or a 4x6, right? I have also thought about calling Staples and asking how much they would charge to print them on to magnetic paper for me. If I know the paper is about $1.50 a sheet, then I can decide if it's worth it or not. It's all on my to do list! :surfweb:

ruh roh...I hear the ice cream truck!! It never fails to be here at dinner time on Thursday! :mickeybar

Great ideas Michele, lets make it easy and I agree, come if you can,

The camp out was the whole reason for my back ache. I put the tent up by myself and twisted the wrong way and voila, pain!!! Dumb on my part.

Just for fun, I decided to see how much a cruise is on other lines....we have tossed around the idea...should we book? Should we not? well, here is what I have found....Eastern Caribbean, May 09, Ocean View
DCL....$5044.32, Royal Caribbean.....$4616.00 and Carnival.....$3096.00. SO, if you compare DCL and RC, there isn't much difference PRICE wise, which makes me stay with DCL. I know what to expect, and that is nothing but the best. BUT If you look at Carnival, we could do almost TWO cruises a year for the same price! We have friends who ALWAYS cruise Carnival and love it. But they are older and have older kids with grandkids. They just go by themselves. A smaller stateroom isn't going to matter to them, a not so hot family pool isn't going to matter to them. They really just go to sit and relax and tour the islands. They are the ones that recommended Godfreys to us.

LOL I need to stop thinking about this and go make dinner!!! LOL have a good night!

Sorry Michele, I thought those were actual planned times.

The problem I'm having with the signs is that a bunch of it gets cut off if I print 5x7, cuz the layout of them doesn't work on that size. I have uploaded some to Costcos photo tool to see how they would look and the only size they fit on right is 8x10 and that is barely and printed them in black and white at work, with the same results. I would really like smaller signs, so I can fit more on the door, so I am wondering what everyone else is doing? What size are all your signs that you are all printing off?

Sorry I am no help to ya Erika, I haven't started yet:scared1:

Off ,,to a b-day party see ya all later!!!!

Have fun Kristin!!!

Okay, Erika, I just was playing with walmart.com really quickly and it doesn't look like it's cropping the photos when I order the different sizes....even as small as a wallet. You might want to try that? You can even have them shipped to your home if you don't have one close by.

I have to run off to football, so I hope I was looking at this right!

See you after 9!!!!!

Hello guys. Just got home and thought I would check in to see what I've missed.

I haven't started my FE yets, but I did find a thread that had pictures of what other families have received in their FE. Now I have a better idea of what to get. Does everyone leave the gifts in the FE until everyone has given? I'm asking because the pictures of the FE on the thread were still hanging outside the doors and they're full. That's why I assumed that everyone left one for each person. Doing one for the family to share actually makes it easier for me to decided what to do.

As far as the whens to do ice cream. It doesn't matter to me because we will be there most of the day on sea days. Merkie wants to do the art classes and then spend the rest of the day in the pool. I don't swim, so I'll be the nerd sitting there reading.

Well, I've got to go. I have brought work home with me. Our church participates in the Angel Food Ministriy which helps provide food for needy families. Tomorrow I will be working at the church from 10:00 to 5:00 processing orders. So, I have to work overtime to night to get everything done.

Tomorrow is also my birhtday!!!!!   A friend and her husband are taking Merkie and me out to dinner to celebrate my birthday tomorrow night, so I probably won't get to check in again until Saturday. So you guys have fun.

Hello all!!!! Just checking in before we head back outside to go on more rides!!! There is so much to do out here....we went on the Alpine Slide, Alpine Coaster, zipline, maze and we are having a great time!!!! I will post pics later!!! I hope everyone is having a great day!!!!
We are going to head outside now, a thunderstorm is headed for us so we want to get more activities in before it gets here!!!!

Happy Birthday Gail!!!!!!!!! I hope you have fun!!!!!

Just checking in.

We started school on Tuesday, so I have even less time for the computer. I still need to look for FE items.

I haven't even thought about door magnets.
I just realized that I don't have you on the list!! I do have a green mickey made for you though. Just need you email address, and other list info if you like, and I can add you and send you a copy!!

I think I just lost my job!!! :rotfl: :thumbsup2

I think the spread sheet is a great idea!! I nominate Michele!!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :flower3: Officially, I am pretty easy with whatever the group comes up with, and I know that this is a "for example" schedule. But please don't schedule the group picture for Sunday morning. Most of our bunch from here have Brunch ressies at different times on Sunday morning, and I know the vast majority of them would be interested in the group picture.

The green mickey is sized for a half sheet of paper. I always printed 2 on a page. You can use any photo editor to re-size it for your specific needs!!

Thanks Allen! I hadn't tried the green mickey yet, but that one didn't look as big. I'm having trouble with the Stitch one from last night, I'm going to have to play around.

I have PM'd Joanne312, Denine, and Princess Crazy about the green mickey's and the list. Now, we wait!!
