Thank you for the offer and everyone's kind words.
The surgery isn't the problem. He had three vertebrae that had been damaged. (probably from his flying days and pulling all those G's in the X-15). This also was causing some nerve damage. The surgery was very successful.
The problem seems to be with the anesthesia, pain medication, and all the medication he is on for Parkinson's. Kind of a medicinal cocktail gone bad. He has been in ICU since post-op and his cognitive abilities are, well not good. He was an extremely intelligent and proud man, to see this is so disheartening - the last thing that he would ever want.
We did walk over to the Galleria last night to pick up dinner. Boy has that place changed since we were last there - but that was at least 10 years ago.
Oh no.....We'll be thinking of you and you family!!! My stepdad has Parkinson's, it's so sad watching him deteriorate so quickly.
We haven't been to the Galleria since they changed it. How sad is that? LOL
