Good Morning everyone!!

Allen, that dessert was a HUGE hit! There was only 10 of us...6 adults and 4 kids....and I came home with an empty pan! I only got one piece of it! By the time I went back, it was gone! Sheesh!! I am going to make another though! I'll just have to buy the cookie dough and snickers bars. I even had to write the recipe down! Oh wait! THAT'S how I missed out on more! They were distracting me!

Promised Connor pancakes for breakfast today! the dogs let us sleep until 9!!!! Of course, the phone rang with an 800 number, which is what got them moving....otherwise, I might have been able to sleep even a bit longer!

Happy Belated 4th! I've been at our cabin since June 25 and feel out of touch with the world. It's a wonderful feeling but thank goodness we have internet service!

CRUISE QUESTION

What date and time can CC members make Palo/Spa/Excursion ressies? I'm sure you've probably discussed it somewhere but too lazy to search! Our lake's boat parade is about to begin and I'll be chatting tonight with some of the other family members who are cruising with us. Since they look to me for all the "411" I thought I should have the right date/time!!! Anyone?

I have to apologize I do not remember who posted about someone having a reaction to singular... Can you remind me again and tell me again what happened. I'm really interested in hearing more about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was me. My son, Drew, was on Singular due to some pretty severe allergies and asthma. At first, it seemed like a miracle drug, as he seemed to immediately clear up and could breathe properly. However, his behavior also immediately changed as well. He was only seven, so he could really explain how he was feeling, but he started misbehaving in ways that he never had before. He would scream and throw himself on the ground. He would bang his head quite violently on the floor, wall, table, chair, or whatever was around when he got angry. All of a sudden Drew had no control over his emotions. Things that were really no big deal yesterday became huge issues today. He didn't understand what was going on and it would only make things worse for him. The doctors said this was not being caused by the medication, but after keeping food journals and environmental change journals, the only change we could find was the addition of this medication. My husband and I felt that he could not continue like this, so against the doctor's wishes, we took him off of it. Within a week, he was once again the sweet boy we know. Don't get me wrong, we still get fits and fights from him, but now it is simply a little boy trying to get his way, not uncontrolled emotional breakdowns over not being allowed to have cake for breakfast, being asked to go take a bath, or to change into a clean pair of shorts.

A few months after our episode, I saw this article http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/early_comm/montelukast.htm and I really think that I was right. As with any medication, it is important to keep an eye on your children for behavior changes. But if the FDA is researching this possible connection to children taking singulair and suicide rates, I think that there must at least be some suspicion as to something being there. I have no doubt that Drew was a different boy on this medication than he is without it.

Steve and I left the boys at home and went shopping! My goodness! What a nice day we had! I admit, I was a bit worried leaving the boys at home alone, and we went further then we have before, but it was so nice! They did nothing but play the new PS3. They have been very good about taking turns with it! Righ tnow we have in the movie, Kingdom of Heaven. The graphics on Blue Ray are just amazing!!!

Hey All, Happy belated 4th!!! We hung a massive American Flag in front of our house (both my dh and my neighbour are American). We had ourselves a little party. People on our street got a kick out of it

Steve and I left the boys at home and went shopping! My goodness! What a nice day we had! We have just started leaving our boys for short periods of time also. I have to say, it was very, very nice to actually go to dinner with my dh on Thursday night for the first time without a sitter! Of course, we ate early and were home very early, but it was still nice.

We have a PS3, and I think the blue ray is the best thing about it (I do like Rock Band, also), but by boys think that it is all about the games!!!!!

I'm glad that this has been a good investment for your family!

We actually bought an HD DVD Player at Christmas time...it was less then $100, but shortly after Christmas, HD was canned for Blue Ray. we did some research on what would be the best BR player. Then an article showed up in the Sunday paper and it too, was touting the PS3 as the best investment for JUST the BR player....the gaming was just a bonus. So we knew we wanted the PS3 for the BR Player, if nothing else. Of course the boys just wanted it for the gaming! It was a win, win situation!

Yup they are out for the night. They had a long day. Lots of walking, lots of playing. It was getting late so had a quick snack at the park then drove across town to come home, stopped at the supermarket and picked up a pizza. After scarfing down a piece each they wanted to have a swim in the pool so we went and hung out on the deck. They are beat

We went and did some shopping...KIDLESS!! when we got home, I was going to make speghetti, but while I was opening the mail, our chiropractor refunded us 2 checks at a total of over $300!! So, I looked at Steve and said, "Do I HAVE to cook dinner?" LOL He said, Nope! and off to the Mexican place we went!
