tuckered out kids = happy parents! Glad you had a good day!

We went and did some shopping...KIDLESS!! when we got home, I was going to make speghetti, but while I was opening the mail, our chiropractor refunded us 2 checks at a total of over $300!! So, I looked at Steve and said, "Do I HAVE to cook dinner?" LOL He said, Nope! and off to the Mexican place we went!

wow bonus cash!!!!!!!!!! nothing better than that!!!!!!!!!! LOL

It sure was!!!!!!!! how did the boys like being alone today while you were out??

They did fine! I think they were so occupied with the PS3 that the time flew by. We have left them before, but never to go that far....20 mins up the interstate....or for that long....we were gone nearly 5 hours! it was also in the middle of the day with no storms...I think that would have made a difference! I do wish they had gone with us. Once we got out there, we ended up in the mall. Connor needs to start getting his gear together for football. I was going to get stuff, but he needs to try most of it on!

Yup they are out for the night. They had a long day. Lots of walking, lots of playing. It was getting late so had a quick snack at the park then drove across town to come home, stopped at the supermarket and picked up a pizza. After scarfing down a piece each they wanted to have a swim in the pool so we went and hung out on the deck. They are beat :)

What a great surprise!!! I love it when we have an unexpected check turn up! Did you enjoy your dinner???:dance3:

Hi everyone!!!!!

I just spent 8 1/2 hours formal dress shopping with DD! And you know what we got for all that? Nuttin'!

wow bonus cash!!!!!!!!!! nothing better than that!!!!!!!!!! LOL

I KNOW!! But in the same pile was the electric bill. we are set up on a budget, but I guess we went over the budget amount, so they want us to make up the difference this month...the budget will reset next month. That pretty much chewed up the bonus cash! Oh well...easy come, easy go!

Wow, nice bonus!!!!!

My son is 15 now, so leaving them alone isn't a big deal, but even before, all they do when we are gone is play computer or video games without getting yelled at to stop LOL!

OH yes!! We love the mexican place! It's called Rio Grande. I always get the same thing...Special Miguel. It's fajita fixin's in a folded over tortilla shell with cheese sauce, sour cream and lettuce....hold the guacamole! Didn't get a margarita this time...but I thought about it!

He starts July 28th......the cruise has to be paid off by that day, he has an ortho appt that afternoon and then his very first football practice!

Hi Erika!

Are you looking for a dress for the cruise?? Did you at least have fun out together?

Yes, we both need dresses. We had fun, they are fun to try on, but it's getting very frustrating and I'm about out of places to look. I mean, if you can't find a dress at the Mall of America where do you look?

Well he is almost to the age where when you leave him for a few hours to him that's going to mean an impromtu 2 hour nap Woohooooooooooooo

LOL Yeah, I guess that mall would have every store imaginable! LOL Surely there was SOMETHING that you liked!!

You are much better than I, the margarita is usually my favorite part of a night out at a Mexican restaraunt!!!! :rotfl2: I'm glad that you guys had a nice dinner. It sounds much better than my slow-cooked grilled brisket that I made today (cooked on the grill for five hours). Blah... I hate trying new recipes that take so darned long to make when they only turn out OK.

I totally know what you mean! Or someone else makes a meal that you LOVE, so you go home, recipe in hand, to try it yourself and it's just blah. Of course, whenever someone else cooks, it's better! LOL

SOunds like fun to me. I love to try out new recepies but I already know ahead of the time whatever I try will come out burnt!

Not really, the only things we liked didn't fit. She's so dang hard to fit, 5 4 3/4 (she just had a checkup Thursday LOL) and 93 pounds. Kids is out of the question, and most junior and misses are way too low cut. And me, well I just don't like much LOL. I saw one I liked at Macy's, but they didn't have one in my size in the entire state. Apparently everyone else liked it too LOL. And Bloomies and Nordstroms, don't get me started, there stuff was $200-$400! Too much for me!!
