It's hot and dry and windy here!!! We are having issues.....again... with fires!! There is one right now not far away in Sylmar, (where my mom lives) it's really bad!! Hundreds of home burned down!!! It's so sad!!

Sorry I missed the interesting discussion on Oprah. I don't agree with her on most issues, but that's ok, it's tough for me to agree with most people. As far as burning homes...Not good for anyone, rich or poor, arrogant or humble.

BTW, the latest report on this Sylmar fire .... over 600 homes gone. Mostly mobile homes. This heat, fuel, oxygen thing kinda stinks. Throw in very high winds and idiots with matches, and you've got a bad combination.

We had a day filled with rain then turned into mini hail followed by wet snow. By the time we got back from the Santa parade the kids were soaked. They had a bath to warm up and I put the snow suits in the dryer. Everything is all back to normal now until tomorrow when we have to break out the cough medecin LOL
