Things,, are not good on the Magic right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never is right after dry dock. I wonder what they didn't do that they were able to get out of dry dock early a take a short cruise????

They messed up with the girl's names and ages. Jenna is 8 and Kayla is 6, this really riled them up. Oh, and the photo with the bobblehead is really Kayla and I. Kind of interesting.

Two weeks from now, we will probably be in the pool at SSR.

Getting really excited.

We are arriving the night of the 7th. Think our plane gets in at 4 something.

My dad did send us some sort of passes yesterday. Haven't really had time to look at them. Have seen the shuttle launch a couple of times and the shuttle landing at least 5 times. It is amazing every time.

Have heard that it may be delayed further.

I know you don't "know" me but I hear you with the child (son) who has school stuff to do - knows he does, but uses his time to play on the computer OR is on the Wii (probably one of the dumbest purchases Santa has ever done). My son is also on medication (although probably not for the same thing -) He just started middle school this year and it has been a rough transition...so much "babying" in elementary school and now in MS lots of homework and no excuses accepted. I feel as though I'M the one in school because I'm the one checking the planner and seeing if there is homework due,etc. - not really the best thing for my son, who needs to start taking on these things as HIS responsibilities.
It's hard to be a parent sometimes.....

Same issues here. when DD12 started in middle school last year, I knew it would be rough, but man! I underestimated! She too is on ADHD meds and by the time we would get home at 5-6 pm, the meds were worn off and I had to literally sit on her to accomplish homework. Many late nights and DD12 tears. And I re-learned all that middle school material too! Ask me anything about Magellan, go ahead, ask...

So far this year in 7th grade, she's matured some and seems to be handling it better. Organization is still an issue, as is studying correctly for tests. We found a flashcard web site that really helps with studying vocabulary, social studies and science: http://www.americangirl.com/agmg/school_smarts/cgi/flash.cgi?op=create it's on the American Girl site, but works for all! The cards can be printed to play matching games or can be used online.

I let her have some down time while preparing supper to get the "willies out", but then after we eat, it's homework hammer time for all three girls. Yep, the kindergartner and preschooler have homework -- either from the teachers or from our stash of worksheets. Usually it's fun stuff, but it still helps.
