Morning all!!!!!!!!!!

10 days, how exciting is that????!!!
Although, I think we all are now into the single digit count for when we leave for our vacation!!!! :cool1:

CRUISE QUESTION:

For the ladies:

What type of hat are you bringing? I can't stand sunblock on my forehead, it ALWAYS melts into my eyes. I have a safari type that covers my ears and am thinking about bringing this that i got yrs ago from then MGM Studios, has cool hatpins on it . I'm already bringing a baseball cap as i prefer to wear them on long drives.

Also, I have thick hair that a little long. Should i bring a hairdryer or is the 1 in the cabin ok? there is a dryer at work that's a decent price and i was thinking about picking it up for winter anyhow.

Thanx

I usually just bring a baseball cap. It's easier for me to pack. I brought a nice round straw hat I had gotten at disney, but it was hard to pack. I wound up wearing on embarkation day and it almost flew off several times.

Definitely bring your own blow dryer. The one in the cabin is horrible and it's in the bathroom. Not much air at all. I bring my own and plug it in on the dresser and therefore can sit and blow dry mine.

I have a question out there for you guys who have girls around 9-10. I'm doing the treat bags for Michael's class and he doesn't want to give the girls Star Wars items. So, since all I know are about boys....what do the girls in
3rd grade like better? Hannah Montana or HSM stuff? Or is there something else? He is too funny wanting to separate the items out..but now I have to go get the other items.
Thanks

I think in 3rd grade, you could go with either HM or HSM. I think HM is probably the safest bet though, and there is tons of it to be found. My dd would have liked Star Wars stuff LOL!

Good morning all-

CRUISE QUESTION
Are we supposed to be wearing the parrothead shirts on embarkation day? Are we meeting before Sail Away?

I agree with Kristin. Some people will wear the t-shirts on board and others like us will probably wear more photo friendly shirts for embarkation photo. We will change into Parrothead shirts before the "meet" at the pool. Probably no big deal either way, whatever you guys are more comfortable with. Hey, it's YOUR vacation!!!!!

Cartoon RUN::

Hello. I just popped in for a few minutes. The school called and asked me to come early to pick up Merkie because they have something for me to sign regarding the Education Enhancement Opportunity Excuse for the days that Merkie will be missing. They didn't do this the last time, so I'm a little worried.

My 3 can't do withouts:

1. Zip lock bags.........I used them so many times.
2. A waterproof box on a landyarn type string to carry ids, money, etc. in. I didn't take one last time, but bought one on the ship. Not only did I use it the whole cruise, but I've used it at every beach and pool I've been to since. Well worth the money.
3. A sweatshirt or jacket........especially if you are going to watch movies on the ship. It is freezing in there. We didn't have anything on the last cruise and I ended up going back to the room and getting a blanket for me and Merkie when we were watching Pirates.

My biggest tip is not really a must take, it's a don't do unless..........Don't go anywhere near Shutters unless you have plenty of extra money to buy the pictures. They do such a wonderful job and all the pictures look great. I intended to buy only a few pictures on the last cruise so when we had the pictures taken, I also took photos with my own camera. I made the mistake of going the Shutters "just to look". I ended up spending almost $300.00 on pictures from Shutters. I don't regret it now. I love the pictures, but it sure blew the budget.
