Just got this e-mail. I thought some of you might appreciate it. Especially the teachers and those who appreciate teachers...



After being interviewed by the school administration, the teaching prospect said, 'Let me see if I've got this right:
'You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning.
'You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride.
'You want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job.
You want me to check their heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial behavior, and make sure that they all pass the state exams.
'You want me to provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate regularly with their parents by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card.
'You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps.

You want me to do all this and then you tell me.................

Isn't this so true. I get so angry. Today, Merkie's class started studying evolution in Science. I told her principal that it's a shame that they teach our children evolution and then punish them when they try to act like monkeys. Someone once asked me how I could actually believe the Bible's account of the creation of man. I turned around and asked him if he had ever been to a zoo and watched the monkeys sit there and pick bugs off each other and eat them. It's much easier for me to belief that a God chose to create us than to believe that we came from those nasty animals.

I hope all those who didn't get their docs yesterday got them today.

Shauna.....on the last cruise, I shipped pirate costumes, door signs and everything that would be completely consumed or that I wouldn't care to just leave behind. I shipped Mountain Dew. This Shirley Brown said that under the new rules, no drinks could be shipped, but someone on that thread PM me and said that he had sailed since these new rules supposedly was started and that he did ship two boxes that were both bigger than she indicated and he did ship soda, jars of baby food and snacks. He said that he had no problem. Both boxes were waiting on him in his room. Someone else posted that you could call Dave (the man who runs the shipping service) at 1-321-799-9100 and talk to him personally about what you want to ship and why. They guy who PM said that he didn't call anyone. He just shipped the boxes and no one said anything to him.

I haven't decided if I am going to ship anything this time. We are taking so much less this time. The last time I way over packed and didn't use any of that stuff.

Shirley is telling you what she has been told. The concerns with food, is that the drug or bomb dogs will hit on a box with food in it. Apparently, it has happened. It creates problems and causes delays. If a bomb dog hits on something, the terminal will be evacuated. I would hate to be the person that delayed the ship leaving or caused the terminal to be evacuated!!!! It wouldn't hurt to give Dave a call!!

Yeah, that's what I meant was for her to call, but I was just letting her know that some have been allowed to shipped. I noticed on some of the FE threads that many of them said that they shipped candy in the FE gifts and had no problem. But, I'm sure that Dave will answer those questions.

I think that is the BEST explanation of Creation vs Evolution that i have ever heard!! Also thanks for the info on what you shipped and how to ask what to bring. I was telling Mike about the shipping and he asked me WHY I would want to ship anything...I said its better than packing it, and he asked what the big deal was to bring it with us...I guess there isnt any since we are driving...But I can see where it would help tremendously when flying

Congrats to all who have gotten their Cruise Docs I still dont have any clue whether or not ours have arrived. The guy is here at our house painting our ceiling where it fell in, after that we may stop by DMIL'S house to see if they are there. If not I will officially be the LAST person to get our documents
