It takes about 18 months to make it's first fruit, and then 8 to 12 months each for the 2nd and 3rd. If you didn't notice in the picture, that plant was planted in October 2003. It is 5 years old, and that is the first fruit!!! So you can imagine how large pineapple plantations are!!!!!

This just in.......MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake
Will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to share!)
Turn clean mug over it if you dont eat it all to keep fresh.
And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
*Be sure for extra pleasure to have vanilla ice cream or cool whip on hand.
A few notes I found to be helpful:
Mix the cake in a small bowl .
Lightly spray the mug with Pam.
Pour the cake mixture in the Mug.
Follow the above directions for baking.
I added 2 tablespoons of chopped pecans and stirred real well but as the cake baked all of the pecans came to the top.
I laid the cake down on the side and sliced it in round pieces. It was enough to serve four people with about an ¾ inch slice. Good with a cup of coffee.

Actually, the president of one of my clubs just sent it. She's the one who gave me the Death by Chocolate" recipe. I'm thinking I'm going to have to try this one!

I'm good. I got a shirt today I'm thinking to use for pirate's night. Nothing special. We did go into a halloween speciality shop today. Pretty neat. Then we hit KMart (Allen pushed the button on one of the special halloween toys, you'll have to ask him about my reaction), then Wal-Greens, then WalMart. Did the house get started on???? no, then Allen's brother and family came into the house..... sigh, it wasn't a pretty site for them to see. I've seriously have to get started clearing the area... Did you know that Hurricane Gustavo and Ike came through my house?LOL I was thinking the same thing!!!!!!!!!!
