Good morning fellow cruisers. I hope all of you in the path of Ike are staying safe.

There are
4 weeks
until we
cruise!

Just a for what it's worth...

Today was the day I married my best friend.

23 years ago, I walked into a Gray Drug Store to start my new job. This handsome looking man showed me the ropes. Turns out, he was the assistant manager, my boss.

A year later, he FINALLY asked me on a date! Within the year, we were engaged, but then came the hitch in the plan. He decided to go back to college, pharmacy school, a 5 year commitment. He asked me to go with him and get my degree, I told him to go on and I would wait. And I did.

On September 12, 1992, a beautiful, sunny, breezy day in Cleveland, Ohio I married my life partner, my soul mate, my friend.

Happy Anniversary!

September is such a lovely month to get married :goodvibes

Hey everyone.

Sitting here wisheing I was on that cruise already!

It is rainy. It rained all day yesterday, supposed to rainall day today and tomorrow. Eventually Ike will get to us and bring us more rain.

DD and I decided to do school today since there was nothing else to do.

Monday and Tuesday we are going to Kalahari Indoor Waterpark. We are all excited about that.

Jerry is trying to fix his car, no success yet.

The Indian's are supposed to play a double-header. Don't know if they will get either game in let alone both.

thank you Sandy!!

Denine, you are getting the rain that we were supposed to get! I think Ike pushed the warm front up a bit further north then what they thought, so it skipped us. It is, however, so HUMID here today. It was yesterday too. we could use the rain. I don't think we will get much from Ike either. Maybe on Monday, but nothing like what you are getting up home.

Kristin, did Bruce call his Dr? I had another thought, he could call back to the clinic/ER that he went to yesterday and see if the same Dr is there. If so, maybe he can call something in?

My truck looks like new again! Yay!! It's just amazing how dirty it can get. I guess we are guarenteed rain now!

Time to work on the inside of the house. Got the downstairs vacuumed, now for the bathroom and then upstairs for the same and to start wash. Maybe I'll get a shower too!

Dinner will be fend for yourself/clean out the fridge night.

Hi folks!

Hope your all enjoying your saturday. As for me, Michelle has me locked up painting Maggie's. She's out right now at Ikea so I escaped to the computer to play for a few minutes.

Four weeks today we'll be at the terminal:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I spoke to soon about a small gas price jump. It went up another 20 cents today, to $3.79, so as much as 44 cents per gallon in 24 hours here. UGH. Costco doesn't raise theirs until the cost they pay goes up, so I am hoping to still get it as Costco this afternoon for $3.39. It's pouring rain here too today, but has nothing to do with Ike.

Just finished trimming my door signs so I can take them to be laminated next week! I'm getting there!

Hey all,,

BRuce is resting now!!!!!!!! I took the kids apple picking it was fun.. Going to vac. out my car now!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon everyone. I laid down on the couch to watch a little CNN and just woke up after a three hour nap. Is it still a nap if it lasts three hours? I don't get many more hours of sleep than that on an average night.:lmao: :lmao:

Have any of you considered the 2010 cruises if they go to Europe. When I first found out that they were going to Europe, I just wrote it off. Now, I've been following along with those chatting about it and I think it may be something that I would be interested in. I think it would be a great opportunity for Merkie. Does anyone have any toughts.

Speaking of which, it's been raining all day today. In other words, our cars are self washing :rotfl2:

Most gas here today was 1.38 a litre, that's 27 cents a litre jump. 27 cents times 3.8 litres = highway robbery. I am so glad we got rid of the Blazer

Hey Everyone...Long time no see!!

We are back home..well at DMIL's right now. But sorry I didnt get on last night...It was quite busy! We got in later than we thought (about 7pm) and then the roof guy just showed up when we did so My dad, mike and the guy was fixing that for the next few hours (My dad did more work than the guy that was supposed to be fixing it) GOOD thing my dad is a carpenter  because the guy that the lanlord had come over doesnt know much of what to do :sad2: But long story short and a messy bedroom later...It was done around 11:30pm or so and then the guys cleaned the bedroom and moved the furnature back to where it belonged. They still have to paint the ceiling and texture it but there is no hole there anymore! :thumbsup2 After that was done I started trying to unpack my stuff so that I can get ready to pack for the cruise ;) :woohoo:

Ok now to catch up with everyone:

Randy & Candy- What a horrible thing to have to experience so close to where you live!! That is very sad about the train wrek :sad1: Sending these out to everyone :goodvibes :goodvibes

Gail- The pics that mom posted with the Lei's on was Ohana's breakfast with Lilo and Stitch...we also did the "Spirit of Aloha" Dinner while there and so we wound up with a billion Lei's :lmao: I think I will be with you at the Chocolate factory...YUMMY! Im not sure how much they will let us bring back but doesnt that sound like fun! :goodvibes

Kristin & Bruce- OUCH poor Bruce...please take it easy and relax because you HAVE to be 100 % for the cruise  That link of Daisy Duck dancing was hilarious!! Thanks for sharing...I always look to you for the "Link of Information" :thumbsup2

Michele- Happy LATE Anniversary  :flower3:

Nancy- You are getting up there with Kristin for the awesome links to cool things and places...YUMMY the chocolate factory sounds like my place to be!

Allen- WOW that pineapple does look yummy...Wish we were there to enjoy it with you. So it was expensive to grow eh? But I am sure that the taste makes it worth it. Does the tree only produce 1 pineapple at a time???

Well I am off for a little bit to go and grab some Dinner. We are going to OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE :rolleyes1  I will try to get back on later tonight when we get back home. Talk to you all later..Bye!

Shauna, welcome home and thank you! I am glad you got the roof fixed! I hope your Dad gets paid for it! If not, he should!

Well, we had a change in plans for dinner! Friends called at 3 and asked if we wanted to meet them at Logan's Steakhouse. Who am I to refuse an invitation?! I jumped in the shower and got cleaned up and out we went!

I gave him four Motrin, that is all he wanted. I found some other stuff and he said he did not want to take it since it was not prescribed for him.. He is weird that way.. It was stuff that had been prescribed for me..

Sounds like you had a yummy dinner too..

Bring, the ice-cream we have some crisp left... Here is the recipe I used. This week I am going to try the recipe Nancy emailed me last night....
