I threw y'all over for the speeches at the convention last night. Totally rocked. May throw y'all over again for McCain tonight I think I'm in love with Sarah Palin.

I am right there with you! I am a Dem voting Rep this year. I was uneasy about it until Palin came along. Did you just love her or what?

When she said that parents of special needs kids would have an advocate in the white house, I started to cry...

I was right there with you. She is my new hero. I want to be Sarah Palin when I grow up! She had the gloves off and I loved every morsel of it!

I know, So do i!! She exceeded every expectation i had for her last night. I broke my own rule and watched it on CNN. They had it at a higher minimum volume than everybody else, didn't interrupt anybody and even let us see some of John Rich(who I'm also in love with ) I about never stay up that late when I gotta work in the morning, Thank goodness it was my hump day yesterday.

Cruise Question...

Actually FE LIST question....

My FE ADULT gift arrived today (Giggle! LOL! Don't you wish you knew what it was????) and I need confirmation as to how many adults are in some of the cabins! I believe most of the people on the list have 2 adults per cabin, but as I recall reading on here, Allen had 4 adults and Donald had 3? Since this gift really DOES require one each, (non-alcoholic) I would hate to have someone miss out if I miscounted!

Denis, I am still seriously considering exchanging yours for a can of Spam, we shall see....

Candy, your girls are old enough they would probably appreciate this too, so I will probably count them as adults too.

Curiosity killed that cat you know... so just enjoy the anticipation and make sure I have an adult count!

We only have 2 adults, there are 4 listed on our list, but 2 are in another room, and not participating in the FE.

I just got the news! My travel agent said today that DCL just released military discounts for my (our) sailing and she got it for me! End result for my 2 connecting cabins???? A credit of about $1200 on my credit card!
YEAH baby!

So, if any of you are military active duty ( I DON'T KNOW ALL THE REQUIREMENTS) you may want to run, not walk, to your travel agent and see if you can get a "magical credit." Well, at least, it's magical to me!

He has a grand total on his master list I think, but that isn't the FE list... I am trying to make up my own spreadsheet with the # of adults/kids per stateroom and boys/girls (yes, I have a little gift bag per kid, with a different one for boys/girls!) sorted by deck # so it will be easier to deliver our goodies!

Just had to have some more O2 delivered... that was a hard pill to swallow. We decided to take some AND a concentrator on the cruise just in case he gets sick... being that far out to sea I would feel horrible not having it available. Yeah, DCL would have SOME, but since we know up front that he is tentative, it would not be wise to rely on that, you know?

I think you made a very wise choice heidi. So much better to spend the extra money and be as prepared as possible. Then hope when the cruise is done that you didn't need it.

Oh no extra $$ involved, other than in the price of diesel in hauling it across the country and taking up more space in the beast than I wanted to give it... thankfully we don't have to pay for O2 or the concentrator. Just something else to have to haul around. Just emotional cost really... and minor in the grand scheme of things.

OH i have done that. Just hte past few years I've been so disenfranchised with the whole politics thing. And i still don't understand VA politics. Doubt I ever will.

My Digital Rebel is ailing... I am waiting for an email from Canon with instructions about sending it to the hospital... I'm sure it is a holdover from its bath at Niagara Falls.....

Just whipped up some turkey spaghetti with a spicy red pepper sauce and mushrooms!! It's in the oven baking!!

We are back from the Dr's. Colton has "an impressive ear infection". Lovely. we have known are pediatrician for 11 years. His wife and I were friends and then he became our ped. Wonderful family! Got us some Omnicef to clear this up AND a refill to take on the cruise with us! Since we have that "insurance" none of us will be sick! YAY!

Connor is still muddeling through his homework. This kid is the BIGGEST procrastinator!!! then when I get after him, he gets upset and loses all focus. we are going to have to really pay attention to his schoolwork with football everynight. He can't let things ride until the last minute anymore. (well, this assignment should have been done on Tuesday night, but he "forgot" it at school, so he tried to do it Weds morning at school and didn't finish it. then the teacher told him it was incomplete and not done in the format he wanted, so redo it! of course it's all writing out definitions to words, so that is even MORE time consuming for Connor. we have issues with fine motor skills, so writing is an arduous task)

It's so easy to fall into that easy going sleeping in summer schedule and now it's SO HARD to get up in the morning! will they replay the conventions at anytime?
