October 11-18, 2008 Disney Magic Parrothead Pirates in Paradise Chapter 10!

DD12 Erin finally has the cruise bug and giggles and smiles every time we talk about the trip! She looked at the parrothead web site with me last night and loved the photos of all the families (although she's not thrilled with having hers posted ). She's very glad that a group DD11-12 girls are onboard through this group. Hopes to meet them all when the Parrotheads meet! She has several e-mail addresses, but just isn't into e-mailing these days. She promises to do better before the boat leaves the dock. We are checking out cafepress.com for a pirate princess shirt for all 3 girls, and she loves the Parrothead T-shirt ideas.

DD4 Rachel asks every day: "Are we going on the princess castle boat today?" No concept of time when I tell her it's still 2 months away.

Olympics: WoW! Phelps is amazing. And what about Dara Torres? They keep calling her the senior member of the team and the middle-aged swimmer! She's my age and I even call her the "old gal!" She may be 41, but she is physically at the age of 20... Can't say that much for me!

Also high-fiving with DD12 when watching women's beach volleyball. What a game last Thursday when they came back to take the first game after the other team had 5 set points!

Well, better be going...promise I'll chat more and lurk less!

I keep a dry erase board on the fridge to keep track of the days for the cruise! It helps just a little while we wait LOL

Hi all! I haven't been on for a while, but I've been trying to lurk. I just keep on feeling so far behind, y'all chat an aweful lot!

School is back in full swing for our whole crew (which is why I haven't been around in a while). I hope that it is going well for all of you who have started already, we're hanging in there.

I am getting so very anxious for this cruise! I have already put a counter up at school (of course, my students think that it is a countdown for the quarter, but nope it's for my cruise!).

Thank you for the photo compliments! We had to take a quick family photo for DD6 Megan's kindergarten family project a few weeks back. Kids are either squint-eyed (DD12 and DD6) or just plain mad about the whole picture thing so early in the morning (DD4) . At least DH Tom and I are trying to look happy!

Good idea about the dry erase board! We have a rather large monthly calendar with everyone's schedule on it that I print from iCalendar taped to the wall. I can start marking the days off on that as well...

As far as weight gain, let's not talk about it! This summer has been brutal on my scale...I'm telling myself that I'm going to the Y today to hit the treadmill and stationary bike while I'm there to sign DD6 up for swim lessons when she's tracked out of school in September...Those chocolate Pop Tarts that jumped into my mouth this morning are sitting rather heavily on my mind and my hips!

Hey again everyone!! Whew, I just got caught up on reading your posts from yesterday. I was too tired last night to post so I figured I would just post today We went and saw the Excalibur show here last night...Chris loved that one, and we went to the M&M's Store and Coca Cola store yesterday...we did the sample tray of soda from the different countries and Mike loved Beverly from Italy...LOL NOT!! He tricked me and didnt tell me what it was until after I took a sip...he just said it was from Italy and I wasnt thinking and so I took a sip...EWWWW!! But our friends that were with us...well they showed up after we tried some and so we told them to try the Beverly because it was the best one It was too funny.

Heard about the hurricane/tropical storm heading straight for Florida Good thing my dad is there to keep an eye on things Im kinda glad that we are not there right now but it does add some stress on us knowing that we cannot do anything being up here

We are off to the Sigfried and Roys secret garden now...

I have read everyones posts but I dont have too much time to respond to each one but GREAT PIC Allen, and Congrats!!

Wow Only 8 weeks left Im so excited. I need to finish getting some last minute things printed up when I get back home and do our shirts as well

I didn't know that you could choose. If you can do princesses, Cinderella and Belle. If you can only do Mickey and the Gang, the one I saw that I like so well had Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy. For me and Merkie, I'd like to have Minnie and Daisy.
