Bye Gail! Have fun!! We haven't ate yet....I am still putting around the house getting ready for company.

Allen, I like that shirt! Bub needs a 3X, so that's a no go for him either. He has a few Hawiian type shirts, but if I find one I can't resist, I'll just have to get it too!

I'm trying to get stuff ready for the Fish Extender exchange. Are most of you doing gender speciific gifts for kids or gifts for each person in the party or what? Give me some idea here, I'm new to this.....

I've got some stuff but am working on more. Anyone? ...... Bueller.....Bueller......

HI Paige!
we are doing a non-gender specific gift for each family, but there will be enough in each gift for each child. But then again, it's a gift that an adult would enjoy as well! I bet that doesn't help, does it? I also have a few things in mind for some of the adults, but that will almost be specific to that person. I think Shauna is making her's gender specific though.
It doesn't matter what's in the gift, it's the fun and the giving that counts!

Only the kids gifts in the FE are gender specific...well some of them. Towards the end I had to get creative as i started running out of gender things  :rolleyes1 LOL

HI everyone...Getting ready to head over to MIL's House to grill out for dinner. We are having YUMMY steaks

Whats for dinner for everyone else???

Well give me like 10 minutes or so and I will post again...just gotta get over to the computer at her house :lmao: I do seriously need mental help because i cant stay off of here whenever I am at home or anywhere with internet access :rotfl2:

Thanks Michele,

I agree. The kids will think it's such a fun mystery. They get so excited about things like that. I'm stretching the brain to come up with something somewhat creative. Hmmmmmm.......

Also, can't decide whether to do mine, DH and the three girls on the same FE or to divide it up and do theirs together on "their" cabin and ours on "our" cabin (connecting).

The kids STILL don't know about the cruise. Funny thing, when my 9 year old returned to school they had a journal writing assignment of "WHAT I DIDN"T DO THIS SUMMER."

She wrote in great detail about how we did NOT do a Disney Cruise and how sad she was b/c the last one was so much fun, and didn't go to the Mickey pool, and didn't have Mickey bars, etc. She even drew a detailed picture on her journal of deck nine and it was quite accurate.

I read it and wanted to scream, WELL GUESS WHAT HONEY! YOU'RE ABOUT TO SET SAIL AGAIN! but regained composure quickly.

It's killing me!

I am getting ready to make skillet stroganoff. It's sort of like homemade hamburger helper! It's easy and everyone likes it!

I am looking online for a recipe for kabobs. I know, how hard is it? Shove some meat and veggies on a stick and grill it, but I was looking to marinade the meat tonight and put them together in the morning. Then we'll grill them tomorrow night after the game! we'll make rice to have with it, and I'll need some sort of dessert too.....hhhmmmm......

Oh How funny!!!! I don't know HOW you held back!! When are you planning on telling them? When you leave the house or when you get to Florida?? How cool!!!!!

Think about marinating it in Italian dressing with a splash of cider vinegar. Really good..

Well, I was going to surprise them and tell them when we were pulling into the port but my husband and a friend who is a Disney fan both said that the anticipation and excitement is half the fun. Everyone on this board can attest to that, right? So, I'm thinking about a month in advance I'm going to tape a map on the bottom of their dinner plates and then after dinner, casually tell them to look under their plates for some clues to a great surprise. Then I will strategically hide letters for each word (separated by color) that "WE ARE GOING ON A 7 NIGHT DISNEY CRUISE" that they will have to unscramble and figure out one word at a time. This is not in stone and I am asking all of you for your ideas on any ideas or suggestions on how to reveal the surprise!

Oh! that's a fun idea! the one I have heard is where they go on a scavenger hunt and find clues at each stop. it would take a bit of planning though!!! We surprised the boys the first time we went on DCL. we had spent a week at WDW, so as we were packing up the car...an advantage to driving.....we "decided" to go to the beach. On the way, we saw a DCL bus, so I suggested going to the port to "See" the ship! On the way over, as we crested a bridge and had full view of the ship, we finally revealed that we were actually going to go on the ship. the boys at first, thought we were just going to tour the ship, until we fully explained we were sleeping on the ship. LOL It was DCL Love ever since!!!!

My mom makes the beef stroganoff all of the time...Its YUMMY!! my hubby doesnt like it though so I only get to eat it when I go up to her house ;)

We are marinading our steaks in A1 sauce (Mine and dads) and hubby is marinading his in the KC masterpiece fajita marinade (although they make tons of different kinds). We have a friend that does the Italian dressing marinade and its delicious!!

CRUISE QUESTION: whos staying at disney before the cruise??? We are staying at POP CENTURY for two days before the cruise. We are hoping to be at the port early as well. We will have to wake up and leave orlando by 7am though so that we can get to my parents house to drop the car off and have them drive us to the port to cruise :woohoo: 7 mroe weeks!! :cool1: :dance3: :woohoo: I cant wait!

Thats cute about surprising your kids with the cruise...wish my son was old enough to do the surprise but of course there is no rush...He is just as thrilled to cruise as if we would surprise him

Hi Erika!!

Shauna, we were going to stay at Pop, but insted we are staying at SSR with Kristin. Well, not WITH Kristin, but she is staying there too! LOL I am thinking there is someone else?? Have to check "the list" to see. You could come over to SSR after dinner and join us by the pool!! We arrive on Thursday and are having an early dinner at Yachtsmen Steak House. We should be back by 7, then Friday we are going to, I am pretty sure, DHS. Then we have Boma ressies at 8 that night. That way we can spend the WHOLE Day at the park. Not sure if we'll spend much time by the pool that night. It might be 10 by the time we get back and then we'll have to be up and gone no later then 730 with 8am breakfast ressies. Man, we must be preparing ourselves for the cruise eating like this! :rotfl:

We are at the Hyatt the night before and the night after. We don't even land until 11:30 so no fun for us.

Excuse my ignorance but is SSR Saratoga Springs Resort??? If so that is my hubby's favorite resort (I like it quite a bit as well). I would love to see some of you before the cruise...I am so excited...Like a school kid waiting for a big prize :lmao:
