The wife, Amy, and I will be traveling with you guys on the 10/10-14 cruise!

She & I both have birthdays on 10/10, so we decided to make 10/10/10 extra special! We booked this cruise almost two years ago! We are also adding WDW days before and after the cruise...should be the trip of a lifetime!

Welcome aboard! We're going to be "book-ending" our cruise w/ stays at WDW before and after the cruise too!

We might be interested in the Fish Extender/exchange but I'm a bit confused -- I looked at the FAQ's but it just explained what the actual fish extender was and how to make it. I guess my question is, do you have to bring something for everyone who signs up on this particular link? If 1000 people sign up, you need to bring 1000 gifts??? I'm sorry, but this is all so new to us, and we're just a bit confused

Yes, you have the right idea....but for large groups, say 100 gifts, then we usually break it down into groups. Most times, like on our cruise, the list will only be 20-30 staterooms to gift. It's really not as bad as you're imagining. A lot of people like to purchase something from Oriental Trading online (http://www.orientaltrading.com) where you can buy a dozen or so of each item and it's relatively inexpensive. Other people go to the dollar store. Some people even make things. It's for fun. You don't have to gift everyone if you don't want to. Just do what you can if you want to participate. Just remember, you'll get that back tenfold.

Yes, you'll get luggage tags and ground transfers if you have requested them. If you did the advance check in online, you won't get any paperwork about that. Just print out your copies and bring them with you. I believe the new booklets that they will send you have the itinerary as well as useful information. You might want to print out your booked reservations for spa, Palo and excursions and any travel insurance you may have purchased.

Hey Deb, Robby & I will be @ OKW for 3 nights starting on Thurs the 7th. We're going to do Food & Wine @ Epcot on Friday the 8th which is Robby's 18th birthday. Ok Ok Robby's doing the Food & I'm doing the Wine. As you already know we're doin B2B cruise as well. Unfortunately after the 2nd cruise we fly home, but we'll have very pleasant memories.

I've been reading past posts, trying to get caught up and wonder if anyone is interested in doing the Fish Extenders? I think i've only read posts by 1 or 2 people who said they might be. We've done the Fish Extenders both times we sailed and love them! I actually sewed ours myself.
We always enjoyed coming back to the cabin to find little treats waiting for us. shout it out if you guys are interested in doing this and I'll voluntEAR ImagineerM & myself to organize it! I'll post a pic of our Fish Extender later.

Sharon, it sounds like you're going to have a fabulous time. I love the Food & Wine Fest. What a perfect way to celebrate Robby's 18th. He will always remember it.....you, of course, will forget it since you will be doing the wine....hahaha.

Hi Melissa, thanks for doing this. Mine is good.

I wish I could help you with the excel document, but I'm clueless. When I have to do a list I put it in a WordPerfect document and cut and paste. It doesn't come out exactly the same, but it's close enough. Maybe you could do that with excel? But I'm not certain. Maybe someone else will know.

Only 46 more days!!

Are we planning on a meet anytime during the cruise? I wasn't sure if I just missed that post or if it hadn't been discussed yet. When my husband & I went on our Honeymoon cruise, we met our fellow DISers at the Sail Away Party. We enjoyed meeting everyone so we could put a face w/ the names....& it was nice to see friendly faces running around on the ship.

Anyone interested in doing a meet & greet??

I think that's a great idea Melissa. I don't think it's been discussed yet. On my past cruises, the DISers usually meet at 3:00pm in the Promenade Lounge.....so we can get our BBCs. Have you had one of those? You can only get them onboard DCL and I make sure I have at least one every day of each cruise I'm on. They are to die for. They are a Bailey's Banana Colada. YUM! They are very filling so I start by having just one and then move on to Caribbean Lemonade's.

We don't have an assigned room number yet. We were originally booked for the week before and had a room assignment, but my kid's school calendar changed. I rebooked the cruise with GTY. I was nervous about booking this type of reservation, so hopefully we don't wind up in the "broom closet". I just checked again and still shows GTY. Here are our names: Katie (DW), Jamie (DH), Avery 8(DD), and Layton 6 (DS). Thanks for organizing the FE. I will send you the number as soon as it is assigned.

DEB and I were GTY on the PC westbound (along with a lot of others) in 2008, and it worked out great. We called our selves the "Life Boat crew"

We are getting so excited for this cruise. DW is sewing away and has almost finished our pirate costumes and our fish extenders. The fish extenders she are making look great.
