Hi everyone,
I know this has been asked but search isn't working. I'm looking for a time in the fall for a trip to WDW. To minimize DS's time away from school I am considering the week of Columbus Day in Oct or Veteran's Day in Nov. How are the crowds and weather at those times? Would it be mostly busy on the holiday weekend and then taper off or busy all week? Also would that be Jersey week in November?

Thanks for any input you can give me!

We were there this past Veteran's Day. We arrived on the Sunday before Vet's Day and stayed until Friday. We were at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday and the crowds were quite manageable. The weather was really warm, too. The next day (Monday, Vet's Day), we spent at Animal Kingdom --very crowded (but it was early entry for that park) but later in the day we hopped to MGM and it was pretty slow. The "crowds" seemed to dissipate as the week went on. "Jersey week" was the week before and it ended on Vet's Day. I heard that the crowds were pretty big that week. I would go the week beginning Vet's Day again. The weather was really warm the beginning of the week but got cooler by Wednesday or so. It only rained one night, but boy did it ever!!!!

Hope this helps.

Thank you! That's very helpful. I'd really rather go in Nov as it's not so hot (and humid) by then. Hopefully Jersey week will be the week before Vet's Day again - I would rather miss the crowds.

Thanks again :)
