Generally rates apply based on your check-in date.

Don't expect much availability for dates near Christmas though.

Remember that discount are subject to availability.

That's what I thought Whacked! I got in on a deal like that in April 2004 based on my check-in also.

I am checking in Oct 22 and checking out Oct 28. Will I get any discounted rate? I hope so, it would be so cool to get a credit back.
