Hello everyone! Haven't posted in forever. I was in Haiti for 2 weeks volunteering in Leogane. Now trying to get caught up on Christmas decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping....you get the picture
My trip was great til the end, there was a lot of protesting the election results...American canceled their flights out of Port-Au-prince not once, but 3 times! Couldn't have gotten there anyway, not safe! I was in lock down mode where I was at for 4 days. Finally got out on a different airlines, to Miami, then made a flight to Detroit from there. Whew!
Quick question...Do we get new lanyards if you are a repeat cruiser? I am making up a basket of "goodies" for the people on our cruise that haven't sailed before, and if we get new lanyards, I'll put the old ones in their baskets.
I have these items in there....over the door organizer, pop up laundry hamper, high-lighters, printed tags for the luggage, magnetic hook to hang up lanyards, etc.. any other ideas?

Welcome home...glad you made it safely, even if it took longer. What an incredible thing you did to help out others that need. Lanyards are given to you everytime you cruise, based on your level of Castaway Club level. We cruised in August, and then again in Nov/Dec...lanyards both times. I am very happy that my DH will be platinum when we cruise on the Dream so he can stop complaining about my Platinum lanyard and his Gold. If you have some of the older style (black with red), they no longer have those as the lanyards are based on your level. You may find some great lanyards for the new cruisers at Michaels or even party stores...they have great Disney ones for $1.

Love the over-the-door organizer & pop-up hamper...just used them on my 13th cruise...will never travel without that again. In fact we are using the over-the-door organizer in our bathroom at home...cabinets don't have drawers and I'm finally keeping clutter off the counter! We are going to take some Halloween decorations such as clings for our mirror. We booked an inside so we can have our first cruise on the Dream with the LCD porthole...we will take up a light up jack o'lantern too. We take extra hangers...I love to hang most of my shirts, even tshirts. I just take some extra dry cleaning wire hangers onboard...I leave them behind as well. I got that idea when cruising once and finding extra hangers from a previous cruiser. One more thing we must have...air freshener-the spray kind, and or a Bath & Body Works Wallflower to use as a freshener and a nightlight. I took a power strip on our recent cruise, and a battery charger for our rechargeable batteries.

Have you visited the cruise magnet page? I would put a few magnets into the package for their stateroom door.

I'm sure I will think of something else to add...

I was afraid CC would be too small even with improvements they made. I think they really need to improve part of the other side of the island for more people not just improve the same areas.

The family beach gets really crowded as it is, even with them extending it I am afraid it may be way too crowded now and loose its charm of the little island appeal. Hope i am wrong.

Hopefully if I am right they will decide to improve part of the other side too so people can stretch out in more space.

I don't know. When we were there in November, the beaches were not really crowded except for the family beach nearest the ship. We walked down to where we normally go (by where the gazebo is) and had our run of that part of the beach. When we walked down to Pelican Point (where the waterslide is) it was pretty empty the whole way until we got to the slides and the beach there was VERY crowded. It was kind of strange as if everyone went all the way down to be close to the slide and just stayed there. And there weren't that many people using the slide as the water was pretty chilly but still the beach was packed. So who knows how it will all play out. The one difference was that with the opening of Cookies TOO, there was no line for lunch and plenty of seating. I know this will change on the Dream but sailing on the Magic it was very easy this time.

Jeff, the beaches wernt bad last year for us but with all those extra people I have ?? running around in my mind. If they ever run a full ship, well thats a lot of people. I am keeping a possitive outlook though. Just dont want to loose the charm of CC.


Hi Stephanie, nice to see you here today too.

Our rain has stopped for today but will return tonight and continue for several days.
My cold is a bit better but Greg has it for the 3rd tiem now and he is really sick today. He has to go to work and get a couple of things done, then he will come home and go to bed. The boss is on a hunting trip so Greg is in charge so he has to do a few things today.

Not much else happening here today. Hope everyone has a great day today.

Quiet night here tonight. Pete is out with friends and Greg is still sick so he is sleeping. Both dogs are asleep too, just me up for now and its only 5:30 P.M.

Of course i still need to take out the trash
Greg usually does that but since he is ill and sleeping its up to me.

Thats all from me for now. I am still working with photo bucket to figure out what is wrong with my photos there. 2/3rds of them have dispapeared and i just downloaded them a week ago.
Hopefully I will figure it out so I can share more photos soon,

G'morning everyone.... getting a day of rest at work before I go home and start baking tommorow....Cheesebread---my nephews are big fans so ol uncle mutt has to get his apron on. Still have a few things to get for everyone too.... always down to the wire for me. Anyways...hope everyone has a fine day. Denise...I agree, get Wally on here! I hope Greg feels better and hopefully mom will find her pictures. I still have a computer at the repair with about 10 years of pics on it. Pray for my pc, everyone.... Kathy don't whip me!!!! I know I haven't posted in about 5 or 6 pages... Sorry! Been dealing with all the nasty snow you and Greg sent my way. We WILL have a white Christmas. I'm happy to say that I have finished shopping, and everything is wrapped for Saturday morning. Pics from Florida are awesome!!! Looks like you had a cold but great time.

Mutt, we will only be on the 4 day 10/30 sailing. We have 5 people, Me, DH - Adam, MIL - Linda, DD8 - Aly and DS5 - Matthias. We have 2 rooms, MIL and the kids are in room 7020 and DH and I are in room 7044. We have late dining and the 7pm show. We are also renting a car in PC and staying at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach Friday and Saturday nights. If you need anymore info, let me know. I turned in all of our info to Kathy before she went on vacation also.

Today is DD's last day of school for the year, then we have a week off and it's back to the grindstone for her. I'm so looking forward to her having some time off, maybe we can sleep in... I will be on as much as I can with cleaning my house for everyone to be here for breakfast Saturday.

Rain, rain and more rain here. Morgan sorry you got so much snow, I meant for most of it to go to Gregs place as a welcome home surprize for him, not you. I guess my weather powers are more powerful than I thought I will be more careful next time.


Son I alos have last minute baking to do. My doughs are mixed and in the frig so it will be easy to do accept for the chocolate cream puffs. They are a last minute thing to do.

It's been raining here for 4 days straight. I swear we have gotten more than our annual rainfall since Sunday. At least it's not too cold.

Got my cruise docs for my mini cruise next month. Can't wait, in one month from now, I will be getting ready to have brunch at Palo. Hopefully I won't be too full from having dinner there the night before

Hi everyone,

Well NO white Christmas here, just a wet one but that sok since we are driving in to be with some family on Christmas.

Today I am zipping out to get a few fresh groceries for what i need to make for Christmas dinner but thats all for the day. Tomorrow I will be baking all day which i love to do, so that is fun. It will be so easy since everything is already mixed up, just pull out of the frig and bake.

We are booked for the 10/30 4 day only but many here are doing B to B like you.

The thread is kinda quiet since many are getting ready for Christmas but there are some really nice people here.

Shell (woogal) is making a cruise mates list for all of us, so we can get aquainted better.
If you want to PM her your information she will add you to the list and she will send you a copy when its done. It will be reivsed as more people join us and resent.
The types of information people usually send are:
a photo
city and state your from
cabin number
dining time
how many cruises you've been on
names of everyone coming. ( if any kids most add their ages so they can find others their own age to make friends with before the cruise)
e-mail address (Shell needs this to send you the list)
if you want to participate in the FE exchange

Many of us have cruised together several times so if you see some teasing or insults please dont think we are rude or mean here, it just means those people know each other really good for a few years. Its all in good fun.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE !!!!



I have my cookie dough sitting out warming up and I already boiled a huge pan of eggs to make deviled eggs for tomorrow. Everyone but me is still in bed, so by the time they get up and have breakfast I should be ready to take over the kitchen and start baking.

i also decided to make cream puffs, I will bake the shells but not do the whipped cream until morning so its nice and fresh to take along to DD' house tomorrow.

On the news they said Santa was spotted over Russia about 7 a.m. our time and he is working his way to us. Yeah !! I have been a very good girl this year so Santa will stop here for sure
Well I have been mostly good, at least a little good
