Happy Halloween!:goodvibes

We went tonight! It is cold though! We had to make a stop back home to warm up! Can't wait to trick or treat next year in the heat!!!

We looked at the pictures tonight of the Dream and could see our room!!!:cool1::cool1:

We can see both of our rooms also!!! Speaking of Trick or Treating in the warm next year, I can't wait either! I'm ready for the people out on the Wonder now to come back and tell us how their Trick or Treating session from the DIS went!

Welcome everyone!!! My name is Morgan, we will be traveling with DH Adam, DD 8 (at time of cruise) Aly, DS 5 (at time of cruise) Matthias, and MIL Linda.

Thanks for the complement on the shirts! MIL and I made them, but she has no clue about the cruise so she thinks we just made them for fun, although I'm thinking of making different ones for the cruise, in black and orange. :goodvibes

Wahoo Denise! You are on a roll!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween!

Hi, Rachel! Welcome!

I'm Sarah and I'll be on the cruise with my DH, my 2 DDs (5 and 8 at the time), my SIL and BIL, my 3 nieces (1, 5, and 7), my DH's aunt and uncle and cousin, and the cousin's son (age 9). We are all first time cruisers.

I'm from MN and the rest of the group lives in CO and MI.

We had a great night for trick or treating here. Didn't have many kids come to our door, though. Which means I have all our leftover candy plus the approximately 10 pounds the girls acquired. Can I just freeze it and bring it along next year? :rotfl:

I told DH we will probably have more trick or treaters at our door on board than we did at home. Oh well.

We were onboard last Halloween. The trick or treating was okay...much better at the MNSSHP though. I heard some of the older kids complaining:sad2:. That being said we had lots of treats left over at the end of the cruise. We never had door-to-door trick or treating instead we did FE gifts. We all agreeded on a day we wanted to give our FE treats before we left home. This way we had a suprise in the FE every day. I love your shirts! We did black and orange last year. I think I will do it as a summer craft at our camper when all the kids are there to help. Not sure if I will do black again though it was faded more than I would like.

We had about 70 kids here which was less than normal. it was a nice night but we needed our winter jackets! My kids have enough treats to last them until next year:scared1:

Good morning all!

Off to work. Disney Cruise Line is very busy this morning I have been on hold 45 minutes already to make clients deposits:sad2:

Have a great day!

Happy monday all,

No trick or treaters where I live, it was the same ever since we moved here. I miss them. Glad some of you got a few of them.

I finally got my winter clothes out of storage yesterday after freezing the last 3 weeks and of course now we are having a warm up and today is suppose to be 66:confused3
It is November , right??

Oh well I am prepared when ever winter comes back again.
nothing happening here today.

Hope everyone had a great weekend,

Kathy

Morning all

We had a nice amount of Trick or Treaters (only 4 candy bars left). I haven't been home for the past 3 Halloweens (in WDW or DL) so don't know if that's more or less than last year.

Beautiful weather here all week, it's going to be in the 80's:love: it's feel like spring.

only 13 more sleeps till I'm on the Oasis can't wait. We leave next Friday and I haven't fully packed yet:scared1: Planning to finish up this weekend. My parents are here so it's kind of hard to get it all done since we were running around all weekend.

Halloween here was cold, but no rain, or snow! My kids dared me to dress up, so I did AND went trick-or-treating with them! Probably embarrassed them. Oh well, don't dare me next time;) Less than a year before cruise time! Getting excited!

Ha....yes in this nice, wonderful midwestern weather!!! Gotta love sub-zero:eek::scared:

:banana::banana:

Yeah Denise, something like that! :rotfl:

Went out for Irish dinner tonight, Irish pizza, Bangers and Mash and Soda Bread... Kids had Shepard's Pie and Pub Chips and actually ate it!!! Does anyone know if the ship has Smithwick's Beer? (For DH, not me. :drinking1) We had quite the adventure at dinner tonight also... DS went with DH to the bathroom before we left and ended up getting sick. :scared1: Poor guy! He seems to be fine now so we think he just stuffed himself too full and got too hot.

Hope everyone has a great evening and an awesome Tuesday!:goodvibes

So that is how the FEs work? Everybody gets one day to do it? I was wondering if we were supposed to bring a little thing for each day or what. What are some of the things people have given or received in the past? Is it more likely to be candy since it's Halloween. Also, my nieces both have severe food allergies. I want them to participate, but I don't want to make things difficult for others or kill the girls. Any suggestions on how to handle the situation?

there are usually so many of us you could just choose the day we want to hand stuff out.

Here is a picture of what we got the last time (minus the Aleve):

We get so many different things. Some people make their own gifts, some people buy them from Oriental Trading and some people give candy. It's really up to you.

I think when the FE particpants list is put together (usually by Shell) you can request she put by your neices cabin that the kis have Severe food allergies so they can then give a different type of gift. As Christines photos shows there are many different things that are NOT food to give.
Crazy straws, disney book marks, Halloween spider rings and such, Pirate eye patches to wear at the pirate party,Disney themed note pads or pens or pencils with the crusie info printed on them etc...

I'm sure people will understand and will NOT give food. I dont see any problem at all. Bananaheads work together so EVERYONE has an awesome time, expecially the kids.:thumbsup2

Morning all,

I am so glad after today all those political ads will be off the air. I am always sick of them by election day. Now it will be a week of who won and who lost in place of the commericals. Not really sure which is worse :lmao:

We are suppose to be in the 60's again today. great spring weather in November:confused3 Our spring was lousy weather so this is making up for it i guess.

Hope everyne has a reat day today,

Kathy

What is this FE you speak of?:confused3:confused3

Hi Rachel,
I think they still use boarding passes for boarding according to when you check in. But the check in lines are according to what level your at, which can save you time. That may change for the Dream, they havnt said yet.

FE = Fish Extender.
Outside your cabin is a metal fish where people can clip notes to it.
People make an extension for that fish, so its called a FE- Fish extender.
We are hoping the Dream still has this.

It is usually 2 to 3 feet in length and has 2 or 3 pockets in it for people to leave small inexpensive gifts during the cruise. (if you sign up for it with our group) Info to come later.

Everyone decorates them anyway they want. You can sew one yourself or use fabric glue. If you sign up for this then you will be given a list of everyone else doing it and their cabin numbers befoe the cruise so you can get or make gifts to bring. You will give a gift to everyone on the list and they in return will leave you a gift. You can do it anytime during the cruise.

It is really a lot of fun to look and see if theres anything in your FE each time you return to the room. Gifts are not meant to cost much at all. Many make homemade gifts too.

On the main forum page on the Dis there is a link that says something like Alphabetical listing of Dis information, if you click on that and scroll down to Fis Extenders you will find directions on how to sew and not sew them. It has measurements and some examples of a few people have made.

If you cant find it let me know and I will look up the link for you. You can also buy them on E-bay but they are spendy there.

This is mine, its pirate themed.

Hope this helps you.
