Thanks Kathy for the life vest info. I'm just a very big worrier when it comes to water. They are both fairly good at staying where they are told, I just worry that they will slip past me into the deep water and rip tides and under currents and wow, I should just stop there.:scared:

Thanks lvstitch!!!:banana: Beautiful sunny day here in Indiana, school is almost out for the week and I start my new job on Wed... :goodvibes AND only a couple months until cruise time... :rotfl:

No current or rip tides at Castaway Cay at the family beach. They have a huge rock jetty separating the ocean from the beach water. Also the permiter has nets so large fish dont get through.
There are fish in the snorkeling area but they stay away from all the splashing and noise around the family beach.
The adult beach is open to the sea, no jetty there.

We were thinking of surprising her with it after work and putting a clue on the garage door to start. I don't think my kids, DH or myself could handle keeping it quiet all through dinner! :rotfl2: I thought about telling her on Oct 17th 2011 with the excuse of DH's birthday, but I don't know if that's such a good idea if she needs to get her passport renewed or anything else...:scared: We also thought of telling her on mother's day next year with a bunch of flowers put in a sand pail.... We have too long to plan this and it's killing me to plan and not do!:rotfl: We aren't telling the kids that Graham is going or that they are going until we actually go. They'd drive me nuts if we told them any sooner than that!:rotfl:

That makes me feel TONS better! Thank you so much! I know when it comes to my kids I'm an obsessive worrier... That means that we can just pack the arm floaties and the rings and that takes up way less space! :D:thumbsup2

I tried the surprise thing once. I wasn't going to tell my friend I was cruising with her until we showed up at the port...yeah that last a whole 5 days. I just couldn't keep it in, especially since I am a planner like you. We did surprise her kids though.

HAHA, glad I'm not the only one! :rotfl2: I think she would kill us if we didn't give her enough advanced notice. She'll want to go shopping for new clothes (DH's solution to this is we will stop along the way:eek:) and I don't think her passport is valid anymore and she will have to take time off work... We aren't telling the kids about it though so that they don't get excited :jumping1: and tell her... Just trying to nail down how much time would be enough time to get all that stuff done...

Hey I forgot to say that yesterday I saw the Oscar Mayer Weiner mobile on the freeway. I have now seen it twice.:thumbsup2

What an exciting life I have :lmao::lmao:

I think 4 months is a nice amount of time to get a new passport and shop. But do the passport first thing. They can take a few weeks to get.

Kathy

I say Christmas. Time goes so fast and that will give her 10 months to get everything done.

We thought of that... I've had Jordak make her 2 magnates so I thought about having him make one of the ones that says "you are invited to..." and wrapping it up and giving it to her. :santa:

Our other option is for her birthday because it is at the end of January... I'm just afraid if we tell her TOO early she will fret and worry and won't want to go or make some excuse to not go... I don't know if she would or not, but we don't want that to happen.

Welcome Morgan and family:

Glad to have you with us.....

I'm Denise traveling with Wally and possibly our grandaughter...at time of sailing she will be 2.5 yrs....

Well I know I was kinda MIA this weekend....saturday just had a lot of running to do....then sunday ran to chicago to visit my dad...got home and became really ill......so I was up in bed around 2pm....finally around 6pm called my doc and he wanted me to go to the ER....I waited a little while and then started to feel some better....so I never went. Feeling better today but not 100% yet.....see what tomorrow brings.

Other than that wonderful news not much else is going on here.

have a good one all

Good Morning, it's been awhile since I have posted. Trying to get ready for a vacation to Florida next month, going to DW for a day and staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort for two nights! Can't wait to take my son to Disney for his first time, even if he will only be almost 7 months....at least I will remember and have the photos! Hope everyone has a good day!!

Have a magical time at DW. Caribbean beach is a nice place. My son use to be a manager there a few years ago.
We are going next December for 10 days and are staying at the Pop Century. I have never stayed there so it should be fun.

I hope you will share some of your photos when you return!!!
We would love to see them.:goodvibes

Kathy

Afternoon all:

I am feeling much better today.....thanks everyone for the well wishes....

Kathy, I stayed at pop a few years ago also.....I always stayed at Port Orleans-Riverside....but decided to try Pop.....I have to say I really liked it..
I actually liked the food court better than Port Orleans, I think they had a larger selection of food, the grouds at pop, are nice, but I really think that POR have much nicer grounds....but I still liked it and would stay there again without a problem. We were in the 60's section I belive...It was a green bldg. and it was pretty close to the food court and the one pool.....so enjoy your stay there.

Ok, I really need a disney vacation...but with all my trips to colorado, plus heather will be coming home for a week in july and I am having the "whole" family over so they can see Heather and meet Izzy...its probably around 35 people so that will be a costly to cater in food....(but worth it) so I guess I have to wait for my trip back to Disney world....maybe by then I can convience Heather into coming along...:)

well I better get back to work.....
later
