Hi. Jumping in here. I am not officially, officially booked yet, but my TA is holding cabins for us. I am just waiting for the official OK from the last of my group before we put down the deposit. We are all first-time cruisers. It will be myself and my DH, our two DDs (they will be 5 and turning 8 on the cruise), my SIL and BIL and their three DDs (22 mos, 5, and 7), my DH's aunt and uncle, their daughter, and her son (9).

I am really excited and nervous about all this. It seems like a very long time to wait. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

WELCOME SARAH!!!! and family

I am Kathy and DH is Greg. (not the Greg who posts here though). Just the 2 of us cruising now. Kids are grown with kids of their own now.

This is a small but awesome group of cruisers. Most of us have cruised together a few times and call ourselves Bananaheads.
Just shows we are a bit crazy at times but its all in good fun.
Please jump right in and start posting!!

We also have not booked yet, but are hoping to make this cruise. Unfortunately we wont know until about 6 weeks prior to the cruise if we can go. So I am posting to keep aquainted with everyone just in case we make it.
It depends on my DHs job and finding a new dog sitter.If we go it will be our 21st Disney cruise.


So please feel free to ask questions since your new to cruising.
All of the regular posters here are experienced Disney cruisers and can help with questions.

2 of the ladies are gone this weekend so it will be quiet here this weekend.

We are all excited about seeing the new ship!!!

Soon we will make a cruise mates list to send out to all the people on this thread. It will help us to get aquainted and will give information about a meet on board the first day. That will make it easier for you to find kids the same age of the ones coming with you too. Its nice for them to make friends before the crusie if they can so they have a friend waiting for them on board.

This group usually has a ladies only meet one day too, The bananaheads are an active group although since the cruise is so far away not everyone is posting alot yet.
I think there are 6 or 7 of us posting and about a dozen have posted here they are coming. I am sure others will post more as we get closer.

well Denise and Christine are probably having fun while I am sitting here with my dogs looking at the beautiful sunshine outside. Have fun ladies

hope your finally having some sun. I did send some your way yesterday. I was feeling sorry for you, just a bit. Today and tomorrow will be sunny here.
Yesterday got up to 81 here but today is only going to be 60, then back up closer to 70 tomorrow.

Greg and Pete are on the sand dunes riding quads today. They will only ride 2 or 3 hours though because with a nice weekend it will be packed today. When it gets packed you get people not being as careful as they should be and of course by late afternoon many have been drinking a bit and things are not fun anymore. The rangers do check but its impossible for them to catch people or do anything about it.

We prefer to go on the week days when we can. We will go as a family towards the end of June for 5 to 8 days depending on the weather near Bend Oregon and will meet both my brothers and friends there. I love walking the dogs there. They love the woods.

well tomorrow will be exciting. I get to do grocery shopping Just what I wanted to do on a nice sunny day.

very foggy here this morning so I am waiting just a bit before going to the store. The traffic on the freeway is slowed down so I know the fog is bad out there.

My name is Denise traveling with Wally and possibly our grandaughter at the time. She will 2.5 at cruise time. Like Kathy said....were a little crazy but harmless......this will be my thrid disney cruise and really looking forward to it. Traveled with most of the people twice before and they are really a great group of people. So jump right in....dont let Greg or Bill scare you off.....


Well we made it to Colorado fine....the flights were pretty good but we did have a lot of turbulance over Iowa....Other than that, pretty uneventful. Izzy is doing good.....She took to Wally very well and he is having a great time with her. I will be (of course) posting a lot of pic's when I get home.

Have a good one and will be keeping in touch thruout the week....

Back from shopping and the sun is shinning brightly and 65 degrees. Just finished using the BBQ for hot dogs for lunch. Steaks on the BBQ for dinner tonight. Got to take advantage of the good weather because rain is coming back by tuesday UGH!!

I cant wait for summer to get here.

As Kathy said we could be crazy but fun. I was new to this group a few years ago and man am I glad I'm a Nanahead, it made the cruise so much better. Looking forward to you becoming one of us.

Had a great time at Disneyland. We are exhausted but it was fun. One of these days we will learn to take it easy. Pictures are posted on FB.

Our rain is returning this evening and will stay until the weekend, if the weather man is correct. I would love another nice weekend.
I couldnt figure out why I was so cold all night and then when I opened the curtain this morning we had left a window open.

So here is what we booked for our Med cruise as far as excursions.


Malta - Cruising on a Chartered Turkish Schooner along the Malta coast, including swimming and snorkeling.
Tunisia - Beach resort including camel rides!
Naples - Sorrento and Amalfi Coast including kids activity (Pizza making)
Rome - Highlights of Rome for families including kids activity (Italian puppet show)
Florence - Florence for Families including youth activity (painting a frescoe)
Corsica - Beach Break (this is our pretend Castaway Cay Day)
Villefranche - Highlights of Monaco and Monte Carlo - this one we may change.

Days at sea will be filled with Palo brunch, high tea, wine tastings and pool time.

Can't wait!!!!!
